Re: Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection Sells 1 Million Copies

Vyacheslav333

@OwenGamer22 Skullgirls has one hell of a history and controversies, lol. The game died for me after the second biggest censorship update.
UNI2 is a peak among the current, overwhelmingly disappointing fighting games. Type Lumina is unfinished and doesn't deserve to be called a Melty Blood game. I've bought it before Cloudflare/Amazon servers throttling in my country. It's kinda sad that it's one of the last games that I was able to buy digitally on Switch... I can't even redownload the already purchased ones. 😡
As for the other fighting games... I want CHAOS CODE sequel and Daraku Tenshi: The Fallen Angels Revenge to see the light of the day, but it seems like they either stuck in development hell or aren't in developer's priorities. 😔
And, yeah, I want to see more ports and collections of old fighting games. Most modern ones are too much disappointing and don't give that much hope for the bright future of the genre.

@JohnnyMind @roy130390 @NintendoJunkie The problem is, they are riding on nostalgia too much. Imagine telling someone years ago, during SFV and TEKKEN 7 days, that Vega (Dictator) and Heihachi will become PAID DLC characters?
TEKKEN 8's Season Passes are TEKKEN 7's DLC characters reuse (Fahkumram, Lidia) and base roster playable characters turned into paid DLC ones (Eddy, Heihachi, Armor King).
SF6 has paid DLC Gōki, Sagat, Vega (Dictator), Ed, Rashid...
Garō Densetsu: City of the Wolves is a joke of a joke. Real people guest characters in the base roster, no Freeman and Kim Jae Hoon, Jyō Higashi and Andy Bogard as first DLC characters.
Guest DLC characters became a plague now. Old franchises have too much not used 'cause unplayable/underused characters to spend slots on some guests bs.
They just keep recycling the same characters as DLC ones twice and trice in a row.
That's why I highlight UNI2 so much – it has new playable characters in the Season Pass. No DLCs twice/trice in a row, no base roster characters turned into DLC ones. All characters from the first game are in the roster. Also, Season Pass costs just 10$USD. 10 bucks for 3 new playable characters, or 20/25 bucks for shameless reused DLC characters?

Re: Star Ocean: First Departure R Limited Run Physical Switch Release Announced

Vyacheslav333

Lol. What an unexpected thing to happen. At least, I got it before on eShop for... 6,24 or 6,74$USD. Still, it's sad that it didn't receive PC port.
@Tyranexx Well, it's weaker than the 2nd game, but still not bad. Or even good... Some consider it to be the second best game in the series, after Second Story. And yeah, it's the first game in the series. Original game was released simply as Star Ocean, on Super Famicom. Later, it got remake (subtitled First Departure) on PSP, with the new seiyūs cast. And in the end, it got a remaster (First Departure R) on Switch and PS4. This version has new recorded voice lines from the Super Famicom original cast, dual audio option, and both PSP and Super Famicom seiyūs cast to choose from. 😃

Android/iOS aren't listed as gaming platforms, as expected. 😎
Jokes aside, NETFLIX and Crunchyroll subscriptions are saving gaming on Android, and I appreciate it. NETFLIX and Crunchyroll do what Google don't, ironically.
Also, visual novels aren't listed as genre option. 😢

Re: Takashi Iizuka Explains Why Sonic Racing: CrossWorld's Guest Racers Stay Silent In-Game

Vyacheslav333

Lol, such a lame and lazy excuse.
@JR150 @JohnnyMind @Zeebor15 I want to remind you that Catherine in Catherine: Full Body had 9(!) DLC voices with popular seiyūs from Persona series (like Rie Kugimiya, Ami Koshimizu, and Aoi Yūki), and got 3 more seiyūs for free on Switch, with one of them being Kana Hanazawa. In the base game on PS4 and PS Vita, player has only two seiyūs to choose from. But on Switch 1? Freakin' 14(!!!) seiyūs to choose from for only one character.
And, the game has dual audio (excluding JP-only Vita version), so this time Japanese voice-over is available worldwide. I've already beaten the game once (with JP voices ON, of course!), and it was quite a cool experience.
Cough-cough Anyway, back to the main topic.
SEGA/ATLUS had enough money to hire and license 14(!!!) popular seiyūs to voice only one character, yet they cannot afford voiced DLC characters in another game? What a joke.

Re: Developers Reportedly Still Struggling To Get Switch 2 Dev Kits

Vyacheslav333

I think that it is quite obvious that Nintendo are doing this on purpose. Outside of Cyberpunk, there are no other games that are pushing Switch 2 to its limits. And Nintendo wants to sell their own games first and foremost.
I want to remind you about Genshin port that was announced years ago for Switch 1. It's obviously cancelled, after all these years, and after PS4 version EoS. Also, even XBOX consoles have Hoyoverse gachya games, while Switch 1/2 don't. It's weird, don't you think so?
Also, all those games ceremonies and presentations that had almost zero Switch 2 ports...

Re: Feature: 32 Games We're Dying To See On Switch 2

Vyacheslav333

A good bunch of these games can run fine enough on Switch 1 – Papers, Please, Vanquish, Rare Replay, FTL: Faster Than Light, The Witness, Super Hexagon... Super Hexagon can run on old smartphones just fine, lol. I've played it on a pathetically weak and cheap Android smartphone back in 2017, and it was running without any issues.
It's very annoying how game developers just ignored Switch 1.
GTA V Wii U port was in plans before being cancelled. Switch 1 surely can run GTA V. And yet... We got just L.A. Noire port, Red Dead Redemption port, and poor GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas demasters.

Re: Capcom Is Holding A 90-Minute Panel At New York Comic-Con In October

Vyacheslav333

@Jack_Goetz It's really annoying that CAPCOM doesn't want to sell killer7 IP to Suda.
Seriously, Suda wanted to port it to Switch 1, and, probably, he would keep his word.
CAPCOM now is focused mostly on Monster Hunter, BIOHAZARD, STREET FIGHTER, and lazy CPS-1/CPS-2 ports.
And the only two things that CAPCOM did with the killer7 IP in 15-20 years are:
1. Steam exclusive port, which they messed up by AI "enhancements" that they patched and removed later, lol.
2. Permitted Suda to use characters from killer7 in TSA: NMH (and NMH3???).
