Re: "People Have A Right To Be P****d" - Dispatch Dev Says It Intends To Address "At Least Some" Censored Switch Content

@SBandy1 «it makes zero sense they would now become so strict with one of the hottest properties in gaming which affects their and AdHoc's bottom line.»
Where you have been during Hyperdimension Neptune, Death end re;Quest Zero, CORPSE PARTY: Book of Shadows and CORPSE PARTY 2U bans, huh?
Also, Nintendo censored their own games for the world – Famicom Detective Club remakes are censored. Xenoblade X remaster is based on the censored worldwide Wii U version. Tōkyō Mirage Sessions Switch port is based on the censored worldwide Wii U version.

Re: Dispatch Dev AdHoc Responds To Nintendo's Statement, Says It Intends To Address Censored Switch Content

Vyacheslav333

So, they aren't going to fully uncensore the game? Oh well, no buy then.
The same goes for Japanese games that were forced to be censored (The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy...).
Some Japanese games that already have English localizations are going to be JP-only on Switch 1/2 – LOVEPICAL-POPPY!, LoveR Kiss: Endless Memories, Dear Mirror Flower... Guess why? You know. And I've mentioned only those games that are already available (LoveR Kiss) and were announced in January.

Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement

Vyacheslav333

So, anime games on Japanese Nintendo eShop aren't censored, but are either banned (Hyperdimension Neptune, CORPSE PARTY, Death end re;Quest Zero) from release on American/European eShops, or getting censored like Hundred Days: Last Defense Academy, so...
Why do you blame CERO for that? Lol. Nintendo of Japan is fine with having anime girls and visual novels on Switch in Japan.
It's clearly Nintendo of America who are against it.
Also, they are the ones who doesn't ban AI-generated slop on Switch, like Hentai Furry puzzles and other crap. Why? Huh?

Re: Arc System Works Unveils New River City Saga Game 'Journey To The West'

@JohnnyMind @Pillowpants Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari (in English, available worldwide) aka River City Ransom. Third game in the series, and one of the most known titles.
Downtown Nekketsu March: Let's go to the Great Athletic Meet (in Japanese, available worldwide). I've played this one and it was a quite funny compilation of athletic mini-games.
Nekketsu Kōkō Dodgeball Bu (only in Japanese? Available worldwide).
That's all Kunio-kun games available on NSO, and they don't require expansion pack.

Re: Review: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Cheap Upgrade, But Lacking Substance

Vyacheslav333

Paid update for upgraded graphics with the same 30FPS? Lol.
Games on GOG receives patches like this for free. Some of them even support not only 60FPS, but 90 and 120FPS as well.
Console gaming is too much monetized now.
Laptops (especially) and PCs are expensive... But, they don't force you to spend so much money for games, paid updates, and online. Also, PC stores have regional pricing, something that consoles stores lacks.

Re: Opinion: I'm Happy amiibo Survived The Console Jump, But These Unlocks Are Getting Silly

Vyacheslav333

And no mention of Shovel Knight, huh?
Nintendo versions of the game have Knight Fairies that can be unlocked only through amiibo scan. Back in 2021, when I was thinking about which amiibo to buy (the choice was between Piranha Plant and Golden Shovel Knight), I've bought... Golden Shovel Knight, and after that, I've bought Shovel Knight: King of Cards, just to make more use of it, lol.
But the worst thing about specific platform exclusives in Shovel Knight is that only Nintendo's exclusive content is locked behind physical DLC. And it's even not Nintendo themed!
PlayStation versions have Kratos boss fight and exclusive gear for Shovel Knight. And it's free.
XBOX versions have Battletoads boss fight and exclusive gear for Shovel Knight. And, it's free.
Nintendo versions? Some Knight Fairies that aren't based on any Nintendo's IP and are locked behind amiibo paywall. Even no exclusive gear. Why PlayStation and XBOX users got exclusive content for free, while Nintendo users need to buy physical DLC!?

Re: Nintendo, Sony And Xbox Update "Safer Gaming" Principles

Vyacheslav333

@Dalamar I meant «funny» sarcastically, not seriously.
I am myself disappointed with Nintendo's current guidelines since 2024, when they banned Hyperdimension Neptune and Death end re;Quest Zero from NA and PAL eShops...
Look:
https://www.gematsu.com/2026/01/romance-visual-novel-lovepical-poppy-coming-to-ps4-switch-on-june-25-in-japan
Another already translated Japanese game that isn't coming to NA and PAL eShops... It's not funny at all.

Re: Nintendo, Sony And Xbox Update "Safer Gaming" Principles

Vyacheslav333

@ottoecamn @Dalamar @Nep-Nep-Freak @AussieMcBucket You know, it's funny to check Gematsu everyday just to see that every second or third Japanese game announced for Switch 1 and 2 is coming only to Japanese eShop, despite having already English translated versions that are available on GOG and/or Steam.

Re: Mini Review: Stardew Valley: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Almost The Cream Of The Crop

Vyacheslav333

@Misima That's all consoles issue, not only Nintendo's, to be fair.
Also, the lack of mods is not that significant as the paid online in paid games. I'd be fine if online subscriptions were necessary only for F2P games, but they aren't. It's why online base is always bigger and more active on PC than on consoles.
But, as you see, users swallowed paid online and are fine with that, sadly.
