I don't think that mouse controls will be a big deal for Switch 2. Especially with the shape of the joy-con probably becoming very uncomfortable to use for longer gaming sessions. But I do appreciate Nintendo for trying.

I'd much rather have all consoles support K+M as inputs by default. And the games to support is too of course. I would ditch PC gaming in a heartbeat if they did. I'd love to play Metroid Prime 4 using my Razer Tartarus V2 keypad and Basilisk mouse, for example.

I'm disappointed to see Wind Waker... It looks we're really getting the GC version. Sure, the NSO trailer mentions the crisp, modern visuals for GC games. But I just want the Wii U's HD version.

I mostly play in docked mode and use a wired connection. Wifi is not my priority. I just wonder which Bluetooth version the Switch 2 is going to get, because connecting my wireless headphones to the OG Switch is a nightmare! I have three different brands of headphones and earbuds. Every time I try to connect one of them, it's hit or miss.

Working this weekend. But a few minutes of Majong and Stitch is helping me to relax.

Am I the only one who gets slightly annoyed by people listing half a dozen (and more) games that they say they are playing each and every weekend? Are there really so many people that aren't working, have no other responsibilities or other hobbies? Are they really playing that many games at any given moment? Or maybe it's just me being a bit annoyed by the fact that I don't have more free time than I'd like...

DK Country Returns and Stitch. The later is so relaxing to play. Especially now that I bought a cheap stylus to play it in handheld mode.

I still haven't played MM. I have the 3DS version but never got further than the first part in Clock Town. I've read comments of people saying that the 3DS version has issues (?).

I mostly play my OG Switch in docked mode, on an OLED TV. For the rare moments that I play in handheld mode, the LCD display quality is not much of an issue.

Buuuut. Considering the larger display of the S2, I might be tempted to play it in handheld mode a bit more. For that reason I am a bit disappointed about the S2's LCD display. Still, current gen LCD display quality is a lot better than 8 years ago. I won't be bothered that much I think.

Good job Sony! But it would already be easier to plough through the sludge if the eShop was more responsive and quicker to load. The PS Store is really quick on PS5. I hope Nintendo "fixes" the eShop on Switch 2.

Everybody's speculations about 400 Dollars makes me feel a bit uneasy. 21% Sales tax where I live. So nearly 500 Euros. Seeing how much the prices of everything have gone up, I wouldn't be that surprised tough. But 450 Dollars, or nearly 550 Euros is just too much for me.

@Erigen Switch software sales still going strong. Switch hardware sales are most definitely in decline. Normal, with the market being pretty much saturated.

I really like the slightly offset design/use of the face buttons on the right joy-con. Having these buttons directly above the left thumbstick is annoying imo. If they'd turn the left d-pad buttons into a proper one, we would have a deal. But....too little too late for this current Switch.

If Nintendo's netcode is up to date, YES! If not....

I'm playing Astrobot. It's the most unadulterated fun I've had since Mario Wonder. I mean a smile from ear to ear. This game embodies joy.

I spent my entire weekend on the road. Just got back, so my weekend starts now. I'll be playing demo's. Lots of them. On Switch, PS5 and PC.

If the Guillemot family is seemingly willing, to sell their company, then why would it matter to them who buys Ubisoft and what will happen to it? Let them take the money and just shove off. Feels weird to say it but I'd actually prefer Tencent to outright buy Ubisoft. I don't think that a Chinese company will succumb to the woke idiocy that is gripping the games industry at the moment.

The screenshots don't do justice to the art style. Watch the trailer instead. Pretty unique. I'll wait for the reviews/commentaries, but I'm interested.

Before the release of Prime Remastered, the rumor was that the whole trilogy would be re-released, but that only the first game would be remastered, not the second and third. A while back I read that Prime remastered didn't sell gangbusters, but still reasonably well. Maybe enough for Nintendo to consider holding of on the regular Prime 2 and 3 re-releases, in order to remaster them anyway? If they did, it would give them a little bit more time to perfect Prime 4. Just some spitballing here.

Glad to see/hear that you put your family first. The "game" of real life is much more rewarding.

Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered For the fourth time. LOL. I love this game to bits. It puts me in a happy place. Story, gameplay and music are just awesome.

But I've bought several indies on Switch too. I'll give them a whirl.

Everybody assumed backwards compatibility but the confirmation is reassuring. My Switch is slowly dying but I think it can hold on until the Switch 2 comes out. So I don't have to replace my current Switch. That's nice!

Played nothing. Been traveling. Finally home. I think I'll start Luigi's Mansion 2 once I'm well rested.

Playing nothing. In the middle of packing my suitcase to leave town for a couple of weeks. And I can't take my Switch with me due to a battery/power delivery malfunction I'll have it fixed, but not now. I'll take my 3DS with me but I now regret not having bought more games before the closure of the 3DS eShop.

Current games do NOT automatically run better on newer hardware. If they do, then they've been patched. And there is abundant evidence for that. Same will be so for the next Switch.

If it were possible for you to "forget" the echoes that you hardly, or never use.

Current games will not automatically run better on the next Switch. They will have to be patched. I think Nintendo will do that for some their games, but I'm not sure that most other devs and publishers will.

Zelda EoW. Fun game, but not fantastic. Still don't like the blurry vignette effect around the edges. And the low framerate in the overworld is jarring.

Finally!! Really exciting! But it looks like Raziel and Kain's voices are different... Wonder if Moebius' will be too.

Replaying AC: Origins. Seven years on, this game is still amazing.

Stingy!!! Considering the install base, repair support for another couple of years would have been more than reasonable. But then again, they've ended 3DS e-shop support/sales too. Nintendo is so weird...

I totally agree. Streaming music would NOT hurt Nintendo financially. The contrary! It would help them in marketing and to further consolidate their fan base. And most Nintendo fans would not mind paying reasonable amounts for it. But Nintendo is being weird about it, as per usual.

I've lived through the 90's and early 2000's and know how to rip cd's. It's just that I don't want to anymore. Why would I go through the hassle of buying a cd/dvd drive (for single use only) and this overly expensive collector edition OST in order to rip the music and never to use cd's again? Yeah, sure, resell value, but again a hassle. I just want to buy the music, not the hassle.

I've gone fully digital over 10 years ago. There is no device in my house that can play back CDs. So if I want to listen to this collection, I would have to pirate it (?) Thanks Nintendo... Just stop being so annoying and let my buy a digital copy instead.

If this is real, that would be totally awesome! Day one purchase for me.

The exact same for me! About three quarters of the way through the game, but it's been about 4 years or so... To be honest, the story isn't that amazing, except for the folklore and cultural details. There is just way to much useless dialog! But I do want to finish it too. I'll probably start a new game, just to get the full experience. Because, let's be honest, this game is beautiful, is a joy to play and is an absolute trip. I'd love a sequel or even a remake of Okamiden in the style of Okami.

This looks like a really relaxing game. But unlike the usual "cozy" monikered games. Also glad that there will be a demo. Nice!!
