The exploration aspect is much more highlighted in BotW and TotK. It's surely enjoyable! But I guess that you're a bit like me, much more into the linear and story driven Zelda games (?).

Even after far more content being added? I've only just descended from the sky islands.

Lake on PS5. Started somewhat sceptical, but it's super relaxing.

Feeling very conflicted about this one. But mostly off put. The action looks snappy but far too fast paced compared to previous games. The graphics look okay, but very generic. Story wise it's very moot too. Why would the prince need saving? Isn't he the hero? It feels contrived. This game feels like another bargain bin grab. I'd rather wait for The Sands of Time remake.

How do people even discover this kind of stuff ?....

I'm glad that Nintendo allows for these small details and freedoms, but is in-game somewhat pressing on conservative values. It's funny too.

No more eShop and I'm pretty sure the 3DS is stable enough. So this is an anti-piracy patch. I won't be connecting my 3DS to the internet anymore anyway.

They've been overselling their stake holders by growing so rapidly over the last few years. What goes up, must come down, eventually. Greed will nip you in the butt at some time. Embracer's time is now. I hope they'll pull through though. They own several of my favorite IP's.

You guys don't know it yet but you should feel so lucky to be out of the E.U. I wish my country was too. No matter the temporary hardships. The E.U. is a dictator(ship) sinking.

Yes, Nintendo titles are what they call "ever greens", and I understand why. But 33% off for years old titles is a bit lack luster. Playstation and Xbox exclusive titles go on sale sooner, for far less, and very often. Can't Nintendo do 50/66% weekend sales from time to time?

I like the esthetics, but my (day 1) Switch is parked behind my TV and it still works. My pro controller also works fine.

Even if my current Switch should give up the ghost, I'll wait for the next console to come out. Hoping that it's backwards compatible...

Why does Nintendo produce so little of these controllers while the demand is so high? It's truly unbelievable.

Why do you consider Night Dive Studios as "some of the worst"?

I think that they are doing a really good job of remastering and remaking classic games. Digital Foundries seem to agree too.

I've bought and played most of their games. I'm really looking forward to their remake of System Shock.

I'm not voting because it's too difficult to say. And it's highly subjective. For me it's not about the number of awesome titles that came out in a particular year. It's how and what I felt for certain titles and what they meant for me at the time. I have to say that the Saturn/N64 years are kind of special for me though.

Talking about the Japanese being a bit quirky...

My favorite Nintendo franchises are Zelda and Mario. BotW and Mario Odyssey came out in 2017, so this is my favorite year. Also, life was far less expensive and less complicated back then. Good times.

The years after and up until now, I mostly enjoy indies and remakes/remasters of older games.

They won't raise the price. Legally can't either.

I don't understand why this is even a discussion. The eShop version of BotW goes for €69,99 in Europe. So it's very likely that TotK will cost the same.

For me, it's a small price to pay for the next installment in my all time favorite game series, which I'll be playing for 250-300 hours.

Slim pickings, yeah maybe. But there are so many indies coming out on the Switch that it more then offsets the lack of 1st party titles imo. I'm fortunate enough to have a PS5 too, so there is a lot that I can play. But even If I could only have the Switch, I'd be happy anyway.

I compared trailers. I prefer the NES version as I played that one a lot.

I had it on Wii. The graphic style is gorgeous! But the story is a bit bland and the combat system had no depth and is kind of broken. I would not buy a simple port. They'd have to rework he combat system at least.

I love pixel art. It's like a love letter to my childhood gaming experience. There are so many Switch games to add to this list. But Sony and MS have their exclusives too.

Hollow Knight has excellent graphic but it's not pixel art. Celeste and River City Girls do have it.

I've played nothing. Drove 1100 kilometers yesterday and today. I'll be finishing GoW: Ragnarok this coming week.

Still have the launch day Switch and going strong. Never replaced the joy-cons because I play in docked mode 99% of the time. So pro controller only. The later is pretty worn out, but it still works fine. I'm really hoping for more powerful Switch in 2023.

Open it up. Check for dust buildup and clean it. If that's not enough and you're feeling really adventurous, then replace the thermal pads on the SoC and memory chips. And you can probably order replacement fan on ebay. Plenty of videos online showing you how to go through each step.

He's very careful with his words in interviews. But I think he hinted that he didn't like where the show writers of The Witcher were headed anyway. Changing the lore too much and making the series more about the female leads instead of Geralt.

LOL. There's hardly any story to Sonic games. And I really like Sonic games. Even the completely dysfunctional ones....

The same can't be said for GoW: Ragnarok. Spoiler thumbnails and titles a plenty on YT!

I use Samsung Buds+ (3 years old). For both the music on my phone and the Switch. With the latest Switch updates, they function well enough. The delay is hardly noticeable. Bass is ok-ish, but not bad at all. Pretty neutral, let's say. Depends on the type of music/sound you listen to. What I like especially is the the mid- and high range. Really clear. The fit is perfect fit for my ears. But that's obviously very personal.

I'd like Mario Odyssey 2 and continued support for Mario Maker 2

Night in the Woods and the first Life is Strange have a very strong autumn/fall vibe. I don't care for Halloween, but I love the months of October and November for what nature does (I walk a lot) and how this is reflects in games.

The narration was so wrong, yet so funny. Happy that Nintendo is taking a risk for once.

After Wave Race, Pilot Wings was the only N64 game that I still wanted for NSO. I'm ready to move on to GBA and/or Gamecube.

I'm not really into bright colored or themed consoles, but this version looks pretty cool.

Don't have a lot of time so I'll only be playing a few stages of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge

Still hoping for more Castlevania. Controversial, I know, but I love the first Castlevania LoS and Mirror of Fate.

What 1st party titles are slated for the holidays? Unless they surprise us with Metroid Prime Remake, I guess Twilight Princess and Wind Waker HD are the only games that could fill that time slot.

The Artful Escape. Not much gameplay to be had and very short but a fun audiovisual experience nonetheless.

The director and script writer are not the best, but reputable anyway. I'm somewhat hopeful but expecting nothing much.

Playing devil's advocate maybe, but you do know that all console manufacturers are gradually shutting down the online retail channels for their discontinued consoles? Even while customers have been, and are still invested in them, right? In that case I would surely call for game preservation too.

It doesn't excuse people from playing pirated games, but there should still be an option for legitimate customers to keep playing the games for which they bought the play rights for. Wouldn't you agree? Game publishers and console manufacturers don't respect these right at all.

And I'm getting really annoyed by the companies producing digital content being able to change their TOS's on the fly, denying customers their rights and criminalizing those who reclaim their rights by so called illegal means. Companies rake in the profits, customers get f-all. With a 100+ million consoles sold, you can't convince me that Nintendo is loosing big money over a dozen Switch games being pirates by only a few thousand tech savvy pirates.

As for me, I've made and downloaded backups of the the digital Wii, Wii U and 3DS games for which I have bought the rights to.

The N64 retro controller is still not in stock in the French store, so for me, the site might as well stay offline.
