Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 9th)

Sea of Stars on PS5. "Free" with PS Plus Premium. I'm working this weekend. So squeezing in a couple of hours of gaming here and there. But man....this game is AWESOME and so charming! And that's coming from someone who isn't usually into turn-based combat rpg's.

This game seems pretty big. I think I'll be playing it until and including next weekend.

Finally off from work this weekend. Just checking in for the gaming news. Playing nothing! Sleeping, BBQ-ing, joking and roughhousing with my daughters, sleeping more, eating more, sleeping even more. I'll get back to my gaming backlog next week. Have a good one everybody.

BTW: Having children isn't easy, but they are so awesome, enriching and rewarding!

Re: Forever Entertainment Hints At New Remake Announcement In 2023

@PeteW
I see your point and you are right. The patches were needed to make the first Panzer Dragoon more playable. I also paid full price. From any bigger studio/publisher I wouldn't have accepted the state in which this game was released. But I'm a huge Panzer Dragoon fan....

Here's to hoping that Forever Entertainment have learned from their mistakes.

Re: 'Quake II Remastered' Rated Ahead Of QuakeCon 2023

@Moonvalley
Indeed, these games would run very well on the Switch. But I doubt that Bethesda would release them physically. The base game of Fallout 3 alone would require a 8GB card. The GOTY edition wouldn't fit at all. Same for New Vegas.

@TheBigK
Wow.... I used to be as committed as you are. The amount of time that you and I have for gaming might be about the same. For personal reasons, I just can't commit like I used to. Like I've mentioned to @Takoda, I think the more story driven and linear types of games are the ones I prefer from now on. TotK is still amazing though!

Re: Prince Of Persia Is Back With Brand New Title, Out January 2024 On Switch

Vriess

Feeling very conflicted about this one. But mostly off put. The action looks snappy but far too fast paced compared to previous games. The graphics look okay, but very generic. Story wise it's very moot too. Why would the prince need saving? Isn't he the hero? It feels contrived. This game feels like another bargain bin grab. I'd rather wait for The Sands of Time remake.

Re: Switch Online N64 Wireless Controller Back In Stock In Europe

Vriess

Why always in Japan, U.S. and U.K. ????
And never f-ing EVER in any other European country?

Why does Nintendo produce so little of these controllers while the demand is so high? It's truly unbelievable.

Let's be honest. Nintendo doesn't give a flying F about scalpers vs their fanbase. It's all about the ¥'s baby!

Re: Atari Enters Agreement To Acquire Night Dive Studios

@LikelySatan
Why do you consider Night Dive Studios as "some of the worst"?

I think that they are doing a really good job of remastering and remaking classic games. Digital Foundries seem to agree too.

I've bought and played most of their games. I'm really looking forward to their remake of System Shock.

Re: Talking Point: What's The Best Year In Gaming?

Vriess

I'm not voting because it's too difficult to say. And it's highly subjective. For me it's not about the number of awesome titles that came out in a particular year. It's how and what I felt for certain titles and what they meant for me at the time. I have to say that the Saturn/N64 years are kind of special for me though.
