Zelda II, was my first Zelda game, and I finished it. My best friend had the first game and we played it a lot. He couldn't get used to Zelda II though. I don't blame him.
Yes 64 is the better one, but Blue Storm made some good improvements. Being able to use the turbo boost yourself for example. The water reflections and the changing weather were a nice touch. Blue Storm also felt more weighty. It had a steeper learning curb. It had less original tracks though. Some of them were reused from 64. I'd love for a new Wave Race with the old tracks included!
Most games I like to just finish in a certain time and then move on. BotW is the only title on this list that I have true patience for. Like hundreds of hours of patience. My daughters have put at least that much time into Animal Crossing though.
@Truegamer79
You probably play mostly in handheld mode I guess. And or you don't own another console or PC so can't really compare how much better gaming feels at (even slightly!) higher resolutions and better frame rates. The Switch is outdated and needs a decent overhaul in order to look good on large TV's! And it needs an overhaul in order for developers to still be interested into porting their more recent games to Nintendo's platform.
@Scoopz
Financial experts and people all up and down the supply chain say that the chip shortages won't be mitigated until at least 2024. Nintendo isn't riding out anything. They are short for parts NOW. Demand for high end GPU's and SOC's is slumping. Major wafer buyers like Nvidia and Apple are actually trying to cancel orders with TSMC. You would think that this is good news but it isn't. Nintendo won't have Nvidia produce their new SOC's (for the next Switch) on the latest and smallest node. Too expensive. Everybody is waiting on eachother...
Although there is a year on year drop off...the Switch is still selling well and there are still supply issues. I understand why there will not be a more powerful Switch releasing anytime soon. But I just want to say that it's disappointing non the less! I can only imagine a gorgeous looking and huge BotW2 being hampered by really old hardware. 30fps@1080p on a 65" OLED TV đŸ˜–
I only play in docked mode. A Switch with a VRR 1440p capable SOC wouldn't be too much too ask IMO.
@DK-Fan I used to like Arlo a lot, but most of his videos have become very ranty and whiny. He's become the person I was, always complaining about what he doesn't like about Nintendo and their games. A bit entitled. Nowadays I tend to ignore what Nintendo is up to (for the most part) and rejoice whenever they do something I do like. Life is happier this way. But then again, I don't run a monetized youtube channel...
@Anti-Matter
It's not a game but a tech-demo showing of the maker's programming skills. It just so happens that he chose OoT as his inspiration source. Nintendo won't say anything about it.
Over the years, there have been quite a few Sega games that I wanted to replay. And I have, through the Mega Drive Classic collection and separate releases on Switch. So, I'm not buying. Besides, scalpers will be all over this.
Not sure If I want to play the next AC. If it's a gorgeous setting and good story, then maybe. We'll see.
Only played the opening hours of Witcher 3. Compared to PC, I found the PS4 version a bit lacking in the graphics departement and especially in framerate. I'm waiting for the next gen patch for PS5. Even if it's "only" performance mode, I'd really like to play this game in 60fps. Hopefully by the end of this year(?)
And TMNT...totally! Played this game with my daughters today. So much fun. Like with SoR4
They'd be foolish not to make DLC for this game in the vein of Mr. X for SoR4. It's nothing huge but really adds to the enjoyment for fans of the genre. Yes, call it a fan service. And the TMNT brand has a huge fan base. Arguably bigger than SoR.
@Brow001 I came to AC very late. Never liked the gameplay of the first couple of games that much. AC Origins changed that for me. I somewhat liked Valhalla the first 20 or so hours. Then the repetitive mission structure and the somewhat monotonous scenery started weighing on me. This monotony was present in Origins and Odyssey too, but I didn't mind it so much as the worlds were far more interesting and immersive to me. I played so much of Valhalla because I bought the gold edition on day one and was committed to get my money's worth. That's why I continued, even when I got really bored in the end.
I don't have to be told not to get my hopes up. After having finished Valhalla and the year 1 DLC, my excitement for the series is at all time low. We'll see...
Mad Max on PS5. I'm in the Pink Eye, The Dump and Gas Town regions. Completely leveled up but the enemies are still tough. Especially the convoys. Another dozen or so hours of gameplay I guess. Really enjoying this game.
I just pre-ordered TMNT: Shredder's Revenge on Switch. So stoked!
A DATE......FFFFFING FINALLY!! They didn't have to wait to summer game fest to announce this in order to get enough publicity. People are hyped enough already. Glad that the final wait will be short though.
@Freek I could see Sega considering that the hardware needed to emulate Dreamcast games will drive up the cost to a level where fewer consumers would be willing to buy.
@andyg1412 Like a standard controller. It feels differently then the pro controller, obviously, but it's functionally it's the same. Personally, I'm having a slighty difficult time learning to play some N64 games with a standard controller. I've played a lot of Zelda OoT and MM on the N64. Those games game were designed to be played with an N64 controller. Using a N64 controller feels more intuitive. To me at least.
Continuing Mad Max on PS5. This game needs a 60fps patch...badly. But still a really fun game. And when my daughters want to use the TV, I'll continue Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
@Eel Okay, it's not wide spread knowledge, but you don't have to be a financial guru or stock market jokey to know that a huge storm (crisis) is brewing. And it's long overdue. Even big companies tend to cash in their chips while they still can.
Here in France it's going for ~150 Euros on the used market. Sure, let's blame the chip shortage, but it's weird that there is NEVER EVER any stock in the Nintendo Online Store.
Am I the only one who's feeling more and more jaded about these events and especially about Geoff Keighley and his "friends" in the industry? Even his The Game Awards "World Premier" reveals are lackluster and overhyped most of the times. PAX and Gamescom are still somewhat interesting because indies and unhosted reveals.
I don't have much time to play at the moment. I just bought Arise: A Simple Story on PS5. A nice, short and atmospheric game to relax to. I'll probably practice the new Wave 1 Mario Kart 8 tracks too.

The other games are good, but BOTW....5 years on, 350+ hours and counting.

I have nostaglia only for the NES and SNES games, so the price is a bit to high for my liking. I'm gonna wait for a sale.

Not sure about GTA IV, but I think that a RDR 1 remaster would sell like crazy.
Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June (Europe)
Really nice to see the Portal collection on Switch! These games are awesome! But I've already finished them on PC.
Nothing for me this week. Still replaying TMNT: SR on Switch. Also, GoW on PS5 in anticipation of a Ragnarok announce.

No, I don't think we'll get a Direct. And yes, I just want Zelda. A new BOTW2 trailer and the release of TP and WW on Switch.

I didn't even know about 99Vidas... Looks like fun! Thanks for recommending that one.
