Poll ought to have a "0 Games in backlog option"! I have plenty of games that I've not started across various consoles, but don't consider them to be any sort of backlog. It makes them out to be a burden, not as something I like to do when I have time.

Polly Pocket still exists, she just went through a redesign or two. I know because my wife got all nostalgic about the sets she had as a child when she saw the new ones in Tesco, and now she has a selection of the modern Polly Pocket sets!

@FishyS It is useful for the Splatoons as there's a good deal of information and items to order for the games, but some further account-based information certainly wouldn't go amiss.

@Pillowpants I have had some good Jackbox rounds, although when some players are going for straight comedy and others going a bit lewd it can sometimes not go so well. It works best when the group is of the same mind, so perhaps sticking a "Rude" sticker on the front may achieve that.

I hope this leans more towards players bringing the naughtiness, rather than the Cards Against Humanity style where all the rude jokes are printed on the cards for the players to piece together. Things can become far funnier when the players produce the obscenities themselves!

If you're not familiar with the situation, the general vibe is that these poles don't go far enough to "fix" these maps, as they tend to be placed in the middle of choke points that remain choke points after these changes. They do make it a bit harder for long range weapons to hit their targets, but don't really change much beyond that.

I've never minded the changes that much, but I don't play the Ranked modes much at all.

@Yosher I agree wholeheartedly! This change seems like it'll save the upper level of players some time, since they will likely now start a shift at EVP400 instead of 40. But I tend to end up floating around the Profreshional levels so am stuck with the meager offerings down there.

Doesn't re-releasing BG&E just mean there will be more people frustrated that they haven't resolved the story yet? The 20 year anniversary means that people have been waiting 20 years for closure!

I suppose the change that means you can start at levels higher than EVP40 will help that, although only if you can already get to those levels!

@BoFiS Heart points come from interacting with other players online, such as saving their ghosts or finishing levels at the same time as them. They don't do anything other than show how helpful you are.

Nintendo Europe has done something similar in September for the last couple of years, a much better time for it as you suggest!

Ahh I was hoping for a bit of a Splatoon break before the next season started, or at the very least a Big Run rather than another Splatfest. Oh well!

This would look great on my PS5, which currently isn't doing too much, but on the other hand we have significantly more controllers for Switch. Might end up with both!

Definitely a Trick! These free game giveaways seems to be aimed at getting all of a publisher's games to fill the download charts for a few weeks, as that page seems to be only interested in download figures and not how much was spent on each entry. Evidently being on the download charts is worth the cost of a handful of games, since there's practically no other way to get your games to stand out on the eShop.

In this case videos like this could have a bigger impact than you might think. It's currently launch time, so many children and families will likely be looking for videos of this game. While in this thread we all know that these swearing flowers aren't in the game, young children and their parents who don't frequent comment threads may have no idea that mods exist, and on seeing these videos conclude that Nintendo have made a game with swearing in it. Before you know it, you get a Daily Mail "BAN THIS SICK FILTH" headline, and Nintendo have a much bigger PR effort on their hands. It's not that surprising that they're making the effort to avoid that.

According to the reveal tweet from @SplatoonNA, these items will be available "via the Splatoon 3 channel in News on your Nintendo Switch system", so be sure to keep an eye out if you want to pick up any of the following goodies.

I really hope Nintendo Europe remembers to push the publish button on the news before the Splatfest this time, not a week after.

New twists sound interesting, but it'd take some major twist to diverge from the outcome of the book!

My wife got "Occasional Fist" from a capsule. We thought it was hilarious though, so she kept it for quite some time.

I happened to plug in my Wii U a couple of days ago, may give these games a nudge to see whether they update. Then shut it down again and go back to the Switch versions!

I hadn't asked for it, but now I'm excited to get it! We often stream rubbish games with friends and this seems perfect for that.

I haven't actually used the cartridge slot on my Switch, but did used to blow on cartridges all the time until I found out that it was bad for them.

I played this to completion on PS2, including the Rose level which took me months to finish. I'm not entirely sure that I want to go through that again, but I also kind of do!

Kururin was one of the first games I picked up when I got my GBA, and a fierce time trial rivalry developed among my friends. We'd usually take turns during lectures instead of paying attention!

Oh it's much like the Gacha in Splatoon 3. That one gives you a cheap pull each day, and optionally more if you spend more game currency. The aim seemed to be to get you to play the game each day, which seems likely for Tears of the Kingdom too.

I like the way they're suggesting that Gannondorf is a Dynamo user!

It does coincide with the first Eggstra Work event (not my pun), but that seems like an odd occasion for a sale when Splatfests are much bigger events. I suspect it's a coincidence.

I'd finished all the shrines and collected all the armour, but had to send my Switch in for repairs a few months after launch (due to some weird bug with Arms), which involved my Switch getting reset. As it pre-dated cloud storage I lost all my save data, including my Breath of the Wild save.

I'd have left it as is, but I was keen to play the DLC when it arrived, so I went back and found all the shrines again. I was working on collecting all the armour once more, but after spending a few too many nights sitting on top of Duelling Peaks, waiting for stars to fall, I concluded I'd had enough of it and left it at that.

Two goes at a 150 hour game is much better than many of my games see, so I'm quite content with what I've done with it and shan't be going back for more!

Blocked this time off in my work calendar, hopefully no one will try to invite me to a meeting!

A Zelda concert was also my best Streetpass night, I got something like 250 hits in one evening from it! At the time I'd managed to finish all the puzzles and quests so just had to clear the queue each time, but I saw more than a few people frantically battling their way though quests just to be able to get to the next batch of ten Miis!

I have a launch 3DS and a new 3DS (not XL). I also got selection of faceplates for the new 3DS, so it feels like I have ten of them!
