@Anti-Matter no, I know there’s online versus... I mean I can never find people to play that mode online! You can get a coop game no problem online, but versus matchmaking seems to never work...
Can anyone here explain why I can only find coop games on Ocercooked2??? I can NEVER find a versus game! It’s so weird. Since I bought the game over a year ago it’s been the case... there are always games of coop but never VERSUS!!! It’s so annoying! Do others have the same experience??
Hmmmm! Totally out of nowhere but for sure on my radar!
I’m hoping that some patches fix up the notes frame rate issues.
I’m playing through Jenny Leclue now (REALLY cool, if you haven’t tried, and we’ll worth the 80% off sale I got it for..), but after that I may be looking here.
Hopefully some more comments from people who have played the game will surface as well.
And if any mention of a physical release, I’d be in 100%
@SMUGSLOTH69 oh man.... after party was sooooo horrible. The graphics were a mess and the story was so boring. Nothing at all like Oxenfree!!!! So sad. I’m so mad I wasted money on afterparty.....
The true sequel to FitnessBoxing is obviously FiNC Home Fit, which is apparently only available in Japan. That one adds new martial arts and looks like a true update.
I have fitness boxing and use it quite regularly. I see no need to upgrade at this time. Half the time I turn on my own music anyways as you can easily follow the “rhythm” from the visual cues.
As a martial artist, I can tell you that the reason you are missing your hooks is because you aren’t striking “through” the target. Accelerate more across your midline amd the Joycon picks it up better. My issue is the ducking and weaving which seems to only pick up the motion if you “jerk” your movement, or shake your Joycon as you move, versus the realistic motion of moving smoothly... that’s unfortunate as it doesn’t train you properly....
Anyways. This sequel is a pass based on the above. But I would recommend picking up the first game on sale or used at probably half the price. I do find FB much better for a workout than ringfit
My issue with it is more the placement than the color (which IS horrible and poor design, no argument here). I think it would have been better to be at the far right if the icons. In that way, you’d have the full set and then the red dot. It would stand out less. This is a design strategy where you place a more prominent item at the end (reading left to right) of a list, so the reader doesn’t “focus” on the one item first and neglect the rest. You do this in advertising, for example. It’s also that I will likely, as many others, be using the news and eShop icon more, so this wastes touches to get there.
Qubic games always go on ridiculous sales. This makes me always wait them out till the are like 90% off. Qubic also releases a bunch of horrid games, which many times makes me pass them altogether... This one may be one I bite on. I’ll save up a couple of dollars for the eventual sale.
Looks a bit basic for the cost... I’m dying for a good TD game on switch and haven’t found any that meet my standards... Would live a good recommendation if anyone has one?!
@NintendoByNature
I had XCOM2 physical but sold it pretty quick.
This is the first time that load times really bothered me and it was enough to make me just stop playing the game altogether.
Too many glitches.
I’d say hold off, to be honest.
Edit:
Oops! Hahahah! You mean Xenoblade2?! My bad...
I absolutely love this game, but there is literally NOBODY playing. The first event they had on a weekend had like 10 people on the leaderboard by the time it was over, with prizes awarded to the top 100 planned!!!! It’s so sad. Amazing game and I loved every second of the campaign.
@nimnio once you unlock the higher levels, the combos include dips, rolls, and ducks, which engage you quads and hams like squats do. So yes, there is some body weight component. You can also lengthen the exercise duration and tell the game what part you want to focus on. I’d say that regardless of your fitness goal, fitness boxing is the better alternative. RingFit gets a tad boring over time, more so than fitness boxing.
Love the first one.
Will get this.
Better than ring fit due to multiplayer options as well as gives a better overall workout.
As a martial arts practitioner, I appreciate that the moves are also pretty legit.
Would have preferred localization of Japan’s FiNC game coming out... but this will do
Both Xbox and PS are just doing the bare minimum to justify a hardware upgrade. Consumers need to make their choices. Buying these day1 are pointless, to me. If you don’t have a switch or all 3 consoles, I feel you’d be better served buying that instead to boost your potential library than a new gem system that will save you load times.... meh.
@HarvestGoddess I have access to a poke stop, and multiple Pokémon show up, within access to me without leaving my house. It’s random where you live I guess.
I just want more news amd updated on Pokémon Unite! I’m very excited for the title and hope it plays well! Looks great and I’ve never fully invested time into a MOBA but this will be the one! 👍🏻
@Zebetite Agreed, and of course the developer plans on people spending money since THEY GAVE YOU THE GAME FOR FREE. If someone, however, is complaining about the cost, and this is enough to make them stop playing a game they admittedly enjoy, WHICH WAS FREE, then that’s where it gets a little silly. I bought the starter pack for like $4 or something, and I have tons of costumes from it and played in the first season. I more than got $4 worth of playing the game. I think people should look at the value of the game as a whole. We aren’t talking about games where you’ve payed full price and then get hit with micro transactions (this I too have an issue with).
I always try to pay for at least a few things on FTP games I love and enjoy. Some games make that hard! Asphalt9 and Warface gave me so much I couldn’t even find stuff to buy but I still pumped about $5 into each for almost nothing just to support them.
Life doesn’t give you stuff for free, paying $5 for Ninjala is far from a big deal.
(I’m not even mentioning all the free Jala they gave since the beginning, following specific download numbers being reached)
Anyone complaining about micro transactions is crazy! It’s all cosmetic!!! This game is fully enjoyable without paying a cent. It’s got a steep learning curve, but when you get the hang of it it is a total blast.
I never expected this game to do well. It’s very boring for players that haven’t played it before or have some sort of memory of it, and then those people have already played this game! There isn’t enough new stuff in this package, and at full price it’s a joke.
The demo does nothing to stimulate interest as it’s quite slow and rather boring, for players that aren’t already Pikmin fans.
I hope this poor selling shows Nintendo they have do do better.
Played about 15mins and just can’t get into these types of games... didn’t notice the frame rate but maybe that’s why it was unappealing to me? I don’t know, it was also annoying when I would walk close to walls and very randomly a pop up would tell me to press B to wall jump, but then after an awkward angled jump I didn’t land anywhere but where I started. I also noticed a few awkward camera angle glitches and that was enough to end my time with the demo and solidify I won’t pick this up. I love MUA3 and that still satisfies my smesh cravings, as does SOR4.
You could just start and end the review with one sentence: “This game offers no online co-op or multiplayer versus” We could then just skip ahead to the score.
Such a disappointment. This and the transformers battlegrounds are such shameful uses of those IPs....
1vs100 on XBL was so amazing. Those real time events with live commentary. Damn that was a blast.... miss it. This is close, but at a cost to join, I worry that this will be dead.
What a moron. I really pray that Nintendo sticks with the hybrid model moving forward for a Loooooooong time. It has revolutionized how I play video games and increased my spending MANY-fold. The convenience is massive.
Lost interest in the franchise after Deception. Don’t like the stupid X-ray moves because, and hear me out, it’s just too ridiculous! How the hell do theybsustain that type of damage and then just keep fighting?! They essentially do fatality level moves in the middle of the fight... it’s just for gore sake and I just don’t like it. I know I’m ridiculous. But anyways, been a long time since I was interested in a MK title.
I admit that although at first it was great, the lack of multiplayer was a factor of me getting off of it. Finding fitness boxing and being able to do coop there sold the deal. FB arguably gave me a better workout as well, cardio and strength-wise I find. Sold my RingFit at the height of the pandemic as well for a very good amount to boot.
I’m looking forward to upgrading to fitness boxing 2 possibly, but really upset we won’t get the seemingly Asia-only FiNC Fitness game announced a few months back...
I’m not a stickler for graphics and admittedly can’t even really see the differences in the images shown. From what I can tell, this patch adds clouds?! 😜
I’d have to see it in motion to really tell, probably.
As for purchasing the game, I don’t own it and may pick up in future at a large discount. I’ve just played so many many many hours of fallout and Skyrim that I’m a bit burnt out in the whole thing. Need more time before I engulf myself in something like this again, and it had better be good when I do!
@BTB20 we all know it exists. But to talk about it in every thread? Enough already. That’s all I’m saying. Posting it here ain’t gonna do anything for people. Make a thread about it somewhere and rant there. But keep it in one place. That would be appreciated.

Streets of Rage 4 and Wargroove both came with manuals (if I recall correctly)... so when it’s a well done package with care taken, it’s obviously “possible” to do.
