@RupeeClock OG XBOX used to have demos of almost every game. I spent way more in those days because I knew what I was getting! I pass on so many games cause I’m iffy on it...

I’m on board with this for sure.
I have no idea how I’d ever go back to a non-hybrid system ever again.
This is just far too convenient and has totally changed the way I play video games.
If the next system WASNT fully hybrid, I would vibe very unlikely to pick it up.
I’m hoping the switch isn’t just a blip in history.

Unfortunately games like this will sell poorly and lack support. Smash Ultimate is just too big.
And if you have no players online at launch, it’s only gonna get worse.
This is what happened to the incredible game VOLTA-X!
For some reason totally overlooked by the masses (no thank you the ZERO advertising done by the team), and it’s online is EMPTY.

A real shame for games like these that obviously have so much to offer.

Maybe your system is a lemon for some reason? Ever try someone else’s switch at your home? Or your switch somewhere else?

This game is amazing!
So impressed with the smoothness, the gameplay, and even the menu look and feel!!!

This is truly a masterpiece, IMO.

I’ve come in first twice now too! So I’m super happy, as I only ever made it to 2st in tetris99 once and have never been able to repeat! 😂😢

@judaspete I think the ring fit character using the ring as a weapon would be really cool. Would really fit the aesthetic well.

Drago would just be another tank-like character.

Makes me miss a good old Gauntlet game... even the old ones honestly... I remember enjoying the GameCube one even!

It’s easy to avoid that if you were a publisher.
Just my thought, in consideration for those that have a history with that.

The rising sun image, as seen in the NA version, although quite common, is actually highly offensive to other countries that were occupied by the Japanese during times of war and is akin to the nazi symbol. It’s something many people do not know. Obviously not the level of Nazi germany, but something to be aware of.

Watching a grown man scream “yo yo yo yo!” is up there on the worst things ever list.
Game looks good!
Excited to purchase it used for half price due to no online component, however.

The lack of online coop makes this a “wait for sale” or “purchase used at half price” game unfortunately.
No rush to play it with all the other great games around, if I don’t have to worry about wanting a large online community to play with....

@Zuljaras Agreed on the Contra comparison. Too much fast twitch shooting in the video for my tastes.
And this doesn’t look to even compare to Bloodstained at all, which I recently picked up for the first time and have not found a single issue with! It’s an amazing game and everyone should have that in their collection for sure.

1. This looks like a gameboy advance game. HORRIBLE looking.
2. The fact that the first trailer really didn’t reveal it was a turn based game leads me to believe this game is horrible. Why would you have hidden that?!?!
3. Why does optimus prime sound like he’s trying to seduce me???? I don’t like it.
4. Horrible graphics. Just HORRIBLE.

Why on earth would they not have added this to a Direct?!?! Such a weird choice.

@Ardisan you wouldn’t want to play full games online... it would take FOREVER. And losers will always disconnect.

The online now is really good and always people playing. New games and modes though would be appreciated.
Only issue with the online now is that there’s only a few games that are used...

I feel this means that Mario Party DLC is incoming!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!

People have been clamouring for a Wrestlefest remake for sooo long. It would be an easy and much well-received choice.

I have been blasting this game since the Direct reveal.
Horrible art style and the gameplay just looked god awful from the get go.

Why you don’t just do a new wrestlefest with updated roster, it’s beyond me.
Stop with the realistic look, stop with these horrible designs. It’s not working.

Total fail. Yet again.

Barley a peep about some titles... VoltaX being a big miss, power Rangers battle for the grid collectors edition, etc.
I hate when this site gives many multiple articles on certain games with nothing on others.... I’d rather read a crappy game’s review than yet another animal crossing article....

@RiasGremory hey, I’m a Nintendo guy! I don’t own other systems and I’m all in for Nintendo and have faith they’ll continue to win the “wars” as I think the whole hybrid thing has now ruined my need for a traditional system ever again (which I think also awkwardly has now pigeon-holed Nintendo)...
I pray for games for holiday, but even if nothing there are so many great game so have to play!
Loving:
Spellbreak, Mario maker 2 (still!), Fractured But Whole South Park (Sale was $30 incl all DLC and it’s amazing), XCOM2, Wonderful101, and many more!
Power Rangers battle for the grid comes out next month, we have mario35 coming, and eventually we get LEGO Star Wars .... I’m just hoping for a few more biggies!!!!

@COVIDberry Wait... what I’m saying is that the likely explanation for releasing this with no added features or bonuses might be due to COVID and them not being able to put in effort to do anything more... I’m HOPING that’s the reason. I don’t want to think it’s because that’s what they really wanted to produce....

It’s a lazy package altogether! The IGN podcast NVC states it very well this week. The decision to not include anything in the package.. a manual, photos, anything... on top of absolutely nothing to the games itself is why I am not paying for any of it.
It’s a lazy drop due to their obvious quarantine delays... they’ve got nothing for fall/winter it seems.
If you had anything, you’d want to show the public now before they spend all their money on the new gem systems coming out...

You see things like this and I don’t know why companies don’t hire individuals like myself with a keen eye on mistakes. Grammatical, visual, color/colour, etc. Too many mistakes can be found from big companies...

The art style is very cool.
Oxenfree was one of my favourite, if not the top, game on switch due to its amazing look, story, and voice acting.
(I was then utterly disgusted by Afterparty and how it just wasn’t even close in quality....)

I am super upset with this.
If you recall, the game FiNC Home Fit was announced in Japan and looked like a great successor to the original FITNESS BOXING as it included other martial arts with Muay Thai, etc.
I am so disappointed this then means we may not be getting an English version!

Also, if this game doesn’t have online versus, then I’m not sure I’ll upgrade.
I love FITNESS BOXING and there is already plenty of two player modes (the article seems to suggest there isn’t in the first one?).

I agree a nicer song list helps, but I’d have paid for a DLC update for that.

Very excited to get my hands on a good fighter and I’ve heard nothing but positive about it over the year and with the tweaks they’ve made!
Already preordered!

I don’t see any need to rush this.
An updated version could do well but it would have to use the same joycons or it may hurt them, I feel (drift issue aside).
I have my custom joycons and paripherals that I wouldn’t want to dump.
I’d upgrade my system though if it has enough features to justify it...

Do we get the full multiplayer component?!?! That’s the question...

I agree with all of it.
I poured a monster energy drink into my Switch and destroyed it.
I then tried to drink my Switch game cart and now I’m in hospital.
How was I to know the difference?!?!??

I’ve had my system almost 2 years, play A LOT (2-3hrs per day at least?) and have not encountered any drift.

@Jokerwolf exactly! I was so curious as to why they did the collection and NOT borderlands3 right off the hop. The game isn’t that technically advanced and you can make some changes to let it run and nobody would be the wiser due to the cell shaded look....
It’s the only borderlands game I haven’t played so would love this to be true.
