The craze for micro-consoles shows no signs of slowing down, with Capcom now revealing that it is about to release a mini-arcade machine packed with classic titles.
Dubbed the Retro Station, this tabletop unit has an 8-inch screen and weighs 2.1 kg. It comes with the following titles:
- Mega Man The Power Battle
- Mega Man 2 The Power Fighters
- Mega Man X
- Mega Man Soccer
- Mega Man & Bass (Japanese Console Version)
- Street Fighter II
- Street Fighter II’ Champion Edition
- Super Street Fighter II
- Super Street Fighter II Turbo
- Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
The unit has been listed for sale on Amazon Japan, and while the page doesn't currently have pricing information, according to Siliconera, it previously said 21,780 yen – which is around $210. It is also reported that Gantaku, the company that handled the production of the thematically-similar Neo Geo Mini production, is the firm behind this particular unit.
The Retro Station will release in Japan on December 1, 2020, making it the second micro-console of this type we'll be getting this year – Sega's Astro City Mini being the other one.

Not much of a looker, and that price tag seems way high, but otherwise... sweet!
Based on experience of other similar hardware, I won't be buying Day 1.
That price is seriously high for the # of games included
All I wanna know is if it has an internal battery.
...the neo geo didn’t...
This is a weird game line-up
Mega Man Soccer, of all titles?
Many of these games are SNES titles but many are or could be arcade, so what's going on with this exactly?
Just another thing that's gonna be running SNES9X and MAME or FBA?
Looks nice, but playing Mega Man X or Mega Man & Bass with an arcade stick can’t be very good. They should’ve put some more arcade games on it instead.
The Megaman Power WHAT?
Google searchs
WHAATT?? WHOOA
I would rather play on my tv. Screens on phones, tvs, and handheld consoles have gotten really good. After ooking at all these beautiful screens this thing is probably going to look like ***** in comparison.
Neo Geo mini was pretty slick looking. This just looks frumpy.
Biggest takeaway from this for me is that Mega Man Soccer is a thing apparently, never knew that and now I want to check that out.
I d like the look of the unit itself, very retro. It'd be nice if they could have swapped out at least one of the SFs for a Darkstalkers.
I personally wouldn't get this as I'm not a fan of SF or Mega Man (too hard for me) but would get one if they brought a different set of games to it.
If that screen doesn’t tilt, viewing angles will be an issue. But looks cool, who would care?
I think Street Fighter Anthology PS2 is worthier.
You got 5 great Capcom fighting games in 1 disc (SFA1, SFA2, SFA2 Gold, SFA3, Gem Fighter)
Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
It's a cool idea...but impractical in so many ways.
You have to appreciate Japan for these things though, they wouldn't happen anywhere else.
drooling must resist, due, to, pricing!!
Puzzle Fighter!!! Please put these games on console, Capcom. I can’t retire my PS3 until then...
$50 and I’m in. 200+ is crazy to me
I think the Capcom logo monstruosity (?) had more, and more interesting, games for the same price or less. It was heavily discounted weeks ago, by the way. Still didn't get it, it's just too big for my available space.
I love the look but the price is too high. $50-$75 would be perfect.
@Ryu_Niiyama My fav puzzle game ever. I wish they’d re-release the PSOne version instead of the arcade. It was the best version imho.
Ugly.
Expensive.
Mediocre lineup.
Hackable?
You'd think it would be a bit of a no-brainer for Capcom to put the same games on this that they put on their giant arcade stick that was shaped like the Capcom logo. Although after the emulator controversy with that one maybe they've had to go with a new and less capable emulator?
If this had most of the CPS-1 catalogue on it, I'd be very interested. Something convenient for Final Fight, Ghouls 'n' Ghosts, Strider, Area 88, Willow, etc would be pretty cool.
This is definitely a maybe. Mega Man Power Battle and Fighters and Mega Man Soccer are the highlights for me here. Huge 8" screen is a plus. I don't trust that stick, though. Not enough depth in the control panel to convince me that's not anything but a non-microswitch joystick.
Im a huge fan of capcom arcade games but this is just disappointing. Where's stuff like the street fighter alpha games and darkstalkers? I wouldn't even mind if it had more obscure stuff like armoured warriors or jojo HFTF
Was hoping Capcom had come up with a more affordable version of the Home Arcade, but this is very much not so.
Looks cool, though.
That looks like Playmobil
"packed with Mega Man and Street Fighter games"
It has 10 games. 4 of them are variants of the same game.
Get super retrocade got final fight trilogy , super ghouls n ghosts, Mercs! Mega man 1 2 3. 4 r types, forgotten worlds, strider, I could go on! U get 90 ish games for 60 pounds! Xxxxxx
C'mon only Street Fighter and Mega Man games, where's AVP, Cyberbots, Rival Schools, Darkstalkers, Final Fight, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Merc, Strider, Captain Commando, Bionic Commando, The King of Dragons, Magic Sword, Knights of the Round, etc? Also if you're gonna include just Street Fighter games, at least give us one entry from SFIII and one from SF Alpha.
So half the Street Fighter games are just different versions of street fighter II? I mean I get that Street fighter II’s good and all but man
Goddamn I want super puzzle fighter for switch.
I’d even take the sweet Mortal Kombat rip-off Puzzle Kombat! 🤣
Normally like these but not sure about this one
It looks like it will give me cramp just by looking at it 😄
The games are not had but haw about darkstalkers
How about be more a original and put the first three resident evil games on 😊😁
@BulkSlash yep I'd much prefer a little arcade machine like this to have arcade games on it like you said the CPS1 games would be good Pang 3, Final Fight,Captain Commando are CPS1 I think if memory serves.
Just Mega Man and Street Fighter? A chance to release some rare arcade games and Cap wants to release more MM and SF. I’ll pass, Sega’s Astro City seems like the way to go.
I can get all these on any of my hacked mini systems so pass from me.
But will it have Resident Evil 8?
Megaman on a joystick? Sounds difficult.
Wish we would have a collection of Marvel and X-men games.
From X-men Children of Atom to Marvel v Capcom 4 and everything in between 😁.
Makes those SNK minis look better for value. Drop to $100, then maybe....
For anyone interested in this, Sam's Club in the US is also offering a Capcom cocktail table for $10 less with 12 games. Includes all the pre-SF Alpha SF games + Darkstalkers, 1944, Ghosts N' Goblins, etc.
IMO, much better deal for the price even if you lose Puzzle Fighter for the original SF, but I'd say the weakest part of the selection for the cocktail.
WAIT A FLIPPING MINUTE
THEY HAVE MEGA MAN SOCCER???
SOLD
OH. ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME? NOW THEY ACKNOWLEDGE MEGA MAN AND BASS? SCREW YOU CAPCOM.
........
What a crappy selection of games for the price.
@Francema : My neck hurts just looking at it.
@BlubberWhale : No! You will take your download code and make sure you've got 50GB to spare!
@Silly_G Wait what!? LOL 😂
NOOOO!!! OK fine, I’ll fill up that 50gb and LIKE it TOO! 😂
(Also I only have Switch, so no I won’t... maybe I’ll get an Xbox in the next couple years.) 🤔
Why they gotta they do MM&B like that?! Put it on console, Capcom!
Mega man w a joystick? Heck no! On top of the high price, an 8" screen is tiny for playing a fighting game w a joystick. It should have all fighting games, or at least arcade ports of capcom games. Hard pass.
Someone should make us a vertically oriented screen and pack it with vertical shooters. It would work well on a stick and really make it something unique to buy.
Wow that price is high high!
How is this expensive?? Compared to a Nintendo Game & Watch for 50-70$ with a 2.36-inch screen vs 8 inch!!(ipad mini)??? Some Aracadesticks start at a price of 200$ For real, i think with this desgin and a CRT-like monitor, it's a great deal! And u get 10 games instead of 1 game (Game and Watch). And from a collector perspective, it will be much more rare in 10-20 years than the Nintendo Game & Watch
Funny how people easily pay 50$ for a G&W with 1!!! 37 year old game on it. But because it's capcom, they just only wanna pay 20 $ more xD.
Maybe Nintendo should make a Nintendo Gameboy Micro Mini with 4 games for 150$ for you guys(Like the Game Gear Micro). ( I hope Ninten-don't read this!! xD)
No thanks. Tiny selection of games, tiny screen. Costs more than a Switch Lite. They must be out of their minds. This should be 80 dollars, no 210.
@n0v4
The Game & Watch has three games (Mario 1, Lost Levels, and Ball), though Ball is simple as they come so I wouldn't blame you for not counting it.
But still, it's not one game.
Nice try, Crapcom.
At this price it should have included all the best CPS-2 Arcade games.
CPS-2 were the next-gen arcade back the the days if anyone don't know.
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs should ring a bell.
Not enough games/10
Did they not learn anything from their fighting stick in terms of design and number of games?
@Toy_Link I know.. Lost Levels is like a dlc to Mario 1 and Ball... C'mon.. Nintendo did this for show... because it's a Game and Watch!! I love my Switch.. but i hate how ignorant Nintendo is.
So for me it's 1 game from a 2020 Player perspective.... Maybe i will buy the G&W, but the only thing i will play is Mario 1 + DLC.
Ball Game for 1 minute its nice and nostalgic and then never do it again ;P.
Even Sega did better... with the Game Gear Micro with 4 games per Game Gear, ofcourse i must admit its a lil bit tiny XD. But u have like 16 games in total... u can choose which Game Gear (games) u want. And dont tell me u buy this thing to play Mario 1 XD... It's a collector item. accept it... U can play Mario 1 everywhere... even on a browser... with a controller yes
emulatoronline dot com
gba,snes,nes,sega,gbc,n64, nds.... all the Glory without downloading a emulator
What a weak line-up of games. It's basically just two games: Mega Man X and Super Street Fighter II Turbo.
If someone manages to hack it to add more games, it'll become interesting.
@TheWingedAvenger
Don't worry !!!
Surely loses something for not being 2 player when so many good Capcom arcade games are 2 player - maybe there's a way a USB controller can go in there. Lineup is pretty rubbish though, odd decision!
For less than this price, you could get a Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro, apply the hylohack (easily findable) and then you've got a fabulous games system. Get the MAGIC-NS adaptor and you've got a great arcade stick for other systems too!
That's a strange list of games. I love the idea of a Capcom mini arcade machine, but I'd need it to have Final Fight, at least. It would also be a good opportunity to bring back the licensed beat-em-ups like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs etc.
Give me an mini arcade with super wonder boy and I’m sold!
