Re: The Retail Release Of The Wonderful 101: Remastered Has Been Delayed

TimboSlice

@ObsidianEleven not everything has to be compared to the pandemic. Even without a pandemic there’s plenty of issues worth fighting about or caring about I’m this world more than anything ever will be in our small individual lives. That doesn’t make my point less valid.
Insult, bad decision making, ignorance... tomato ”toe-mah-toe”. All the same. Eroded customer loyalty.

Pretty pissed off, myself. Along with the flood of complaints on the Kickstarter page for all those that backed it.
And before you argue:
There’s no reason you still can’t get the copies to your backers BEFORE retail outlets. You obviously have that control.
There’s also no reason you have to give people that ordered the Switch or PS versions a STEAM code, when you could give them a code for the version they paid for.

IMO, it’s an insult to those that backed the project to get it off the ground.
I’m not alone I’m my opinion, whether or not it’s the minority. I do feel though that for those that backed it, and those that don’t have/want to play it on PC, they have a right to be upset.

Played one game at the start and went through all the customization and menus.
It’s ok. The design and look is good. Customization is plentiful. The problem is the actual gameplay.
Pretty boring and repetitive.
Definitely doesn’t suck you in or leave you wanting more.
Kinda like playing splatoon with only melee weapons (which is not a good thing).
I’m gonna pass.

Re: 2K Reveals WWE 2K Battlegrounds, A Brand New Arcade-Style Game

The current state of wrestling is so horrible and this game is a reflection of that.
Characters are all too “real” and with gimmicks gone the whole pagentry of it makes the whole thing lose its appeal.

Just look at the trailer.... ugh.

Go back to the glory days of the 80s and 90s... which I guess is impossible due to licenses and character ownership...

It’s really too bad.

In terms of visuals, I also hate these realistic ones... I’d prefer going back to the retro nWo vs WCW or NoMercy ones....

Re: Ty The Tasmanian Tiger 5 Could Happen, But Would Require "A Much Bigger Budget"

TimboSlice

They want people to buy 3 ports to see if they’ll do a new game?
How about you not saturate the market with 3 TY games, which not a large enough number of people care about, and hope that they’ll then pay for a fourth?!?!

Make a new one if you want, make it good, and then you’ll get the 3 people that recognize your IP and the potential new fans buying your game.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #40 - Mega Man

TimboSlice

The NA one for me is just too classic.
I had to vote for it because it shows the roots of where that game came from and the total disconnect between whoever was designing the game and the box art illustrator. It’s total 80’s with the baggy sleeves and just total cheesyness.

Love it.

In this case, opposed to many in the NES era, the box art is misleading in a good way! The box sucks and the game is amazing! 👍🏻

Re: Afterparty

I don’t know if the reviewers actually played the switch version.
The graphics are just horrid with so much jagged edges and blending issues it takes you right out of what should be an immersive experience.

The follow up to Oxenfree is nothing like it should be.

The conversation mechanic is worse, in that you don’t interrupt people if you press a dialogue option early, which was a nice realistic approach Oxenfree took.

The story is also much slower and the levels are very isometric. No depth or even height to play with.

I don’t know what they did, but this follow up is a huge step backwards.

Avoid at all costs.

1 Star.

Re: Random: Stephen Fry Is Somewhat Perplexed By Animal Crossing: New Horizons

@SwitchForce MUA3 had very good sales, and more importantly it’s not like this website has a LIMIT on how many stories they can write, THAT’S my point.
It was great info coming out of the marvel Twitter daily for a week will the DLC dropped, and the costumes were plentiful and well done!
For those that don’t already own the game, this is the kinda thing that could interest people in purchasing it!
It’s got tons of content and perhaps worth considering if you have nothing really to play during quarantine.

(MUA3 = Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 🤔)

Re: You'll Be Able To Buy The Borderlands And Bioshock Games Separately On The Switch eShop

TimboSlice

Another problem with this mass release of all the borderlands is that you effectively split the online community into three different pools... so we have a smaller group to play each one with...
Unlike if you released one at a time spread out, much of the community could pass on to the newest game as they came out... even if you did it quarterly it would be something...
Just another thought.

Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Has "A Ton Of Respect" For Nintendo, But Is Over Rumours About Select Titles Coming To Switch

TimboSlice

The Xbox brand has just gone absolutely downhill for me since Xbox one. Their redesign of the interface over the years with 360 just got worse and worse, showing they had no idea what customers wanted. Now it’s a hardware race that leaves quality games as an afterthought... Nintendo has the chance to just destroy the competition if only they could maintain a solid flow of AAA first party titles.
If they can get BOTW2 out, and a Metroid, and maybe even another Mario Odyssey out, it could really be a funeral for Xbox.
Sony will stay around due to Asian markets and their history, but XBOX won’t survive.

If COVID19 lasts as well, a lot of people with financial constraints will also be limited from purchasing any new $500+ system...
