So happy we got more info on this game. The first one was amazing, I can’t wait play the sequel. Challenging but fair, great music and some of the best pixel art I’ve seen in a while IMO. The devs added more free DLC to it so it’s even better now than originally released.

Still hoping to see something regarding Silksong or Blasphemous 2.

My dark horse guess/wish would be a Little Devil Inside announcement. It’s a long shot but a guy can still dream can’t he?

The boss battles in the first Teslagrad game were amazing. Tough but fair. I’m hoping the sequel is the same.

Just started God of War Ragnarok. When I’m done with that, I will likely move on to a random Metroidvania style game that I’ve never played before.

I really, really enjoyed Blasphemous. I know there are lots of metroidvanias on Switch but I personally believe this game is one of the better ones. If you haven’t played it, you should check it out. I think the demo is still available.

Eagerly waiting for the sequel which I heard should be coming out in 2023.

I’m currently playing through Tunic. I appreciate the lack of hand holding but man it can be confusing. Trying the best I can to not look up anything online either.

I’ll tell you what I don’t want to see…that’s HD remakes of Windwaker or Twilight Princess. Only because if those are coming then that guarantees BotW2 is gonna be likely 2024. I don’t see those remakes coming the same calendar year as BotW2

If we don’t get at least the proper name for BotW2 soon, I really doubt we’ll see it released spring 2023. I hope I’m wrong but it just feels weird that we still know very little even now.

In other news, water is wet. C’mon now, who didn’t see this coming? I wouldn’t be surprised if they delay it again. At least it means it’ll hopefully be amazing.

When this game got announced I was interested in picking it up. Then I read the reviews and how bad the controls were. That alone is what soured me on getting it. Maybe it would have been fine…I don’t fully understand how the controls are so bad since I never played it…but as I learned from Star Fox on the WiiU, bad controls can really ruin an experience for me.

AXIOM VERGE 2 - Really digging it so far!

I, for one, wouldn’t mind seeing MercurySteam have another crack at Castlevania with LoS3. I really liked the first one. The second not so much…I absolutely hate seeing CV set in a modern setting. Kinda like seeing skeletons on motorcycles like in CV64.

Or, if MercurySteam were to go the 2d Metroidvania route, even better. They knocked it out of the park with Metroid Dread.

Here’s my wish list:

1-BRING BACK THE HOOKSHOT!!!!
2-Themed/varied dungeons
3-Variety in boss designs
4-Under water exploration
5-Make the final boss fight challenging and epic. If I’m gonna sink in hundreds of hours in a game, I want it to end on a high note.

Down the road (after MP4’s eventual release), I hope we get to see more of the cancelled MP4 that was in development before Retro took the reigns. I’m genuinely curious to see why it was scrapped. Was it design choices? Weird controls? Crappy frame rate? I hope to see NL post an article on that.

Currently about to complete Blasphemous for the third time (trying out the new DLC that came out last month). Looking forward to its sequel next year.

Then I will likely give RE3 Remake a go on the PS4.

Currently almost done with Luigi’s Mansion 3. Then I’ll either be moving on to Axiom Verge 2 or I might dive back into Blasphemous once again (I want to try the new DLC but I’m not so sure I feel like playing through the whole game for a third time just yet).

@somebread my thoughts exactly. I just replayed this game not too long ago too (NG+) for the other dlc.

I don’t know if I want to replay it again from the start…even if the snake boss looks cool lol.

@StandardCabrera That’s what I originally thought too. That’s why I thought it was weird to apply that term to Deaths Door because you keep everything when you die in that game

Apparently the term ‘Soulslike’ is applied to other aspects of a game like combat.

I always assumed Soulslike games were solely based on losing “currency/souls” when you died.
