Another week down in this new and mysterious year of 2022. This week we got a new trailer and a March release date for the lovely-looking Kirby and the Forgotten Land, news hit of Among Us getting a manga, the fifth anniversary of the very first time we went hands-on with Switch came (and we all got teary-eyed looking back five years to a time when we could meet in a pub and only have to worry about rowdy patrons), and one Thomas Whitehead went on a deep dive exploring the ins and outs of NFTs and the implications for gaming. Tom, we salute you, sir!
Anyhoo, it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

Having finally put Blasphemous to bed, my gaming time this weekend will be spent on building Lego instead. I ordered the Lego Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill set a day or two after it went on sale, but it took a while to arrive, scuppering my plans for a little weekend review for you in the process.
I did sit down to start the set, but after an hour I'd only got through two of the six bags in the box — so many little pieces! Keep an eye out next week some time for my overall verdict on the set.
On the off-chance I get to pay an actual video game, I'll probably spend some more time with Death's Door.

After playing the opening to Disco Elysium and enjoying it I... haven't been back for two weeks. Oops, time to continue my investigations in that game, while I've also resumed my most recent playthrough of Okami HD, a wonderful game that still looks amazing to this day.
Elsewhere I recently purchased Tomb Raider Survivor Trilogy and have been working through the first game. It's silly fun, and Crystal Dynamics had a real gift for 'cinematic' action; I've been having a good time with it, even if Lara suffers the Nathan Drake curse of being a mass murderer (along with everyone else in the game, to be fair).

This weekend, I (rather shamefully) should probably take down my Christmas decorations. I'VE BEEN BUSY. When I'm not tangling with lights, I'll be hopping back into Astroneer — I don't have an estimate on my play activity yet, but it's got to be quite a few hours by this point. I'm still having fun, though!
I've also been playing a fair bit of Undermine and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, and watching my partner play Apollo Justice, and I've been toying with the idea of starting Chrono Trigger again...

I’ve never really considered myself a big Metroid fan until the announcement of Dread last year. Like many, it spurred me to play through Zero Mission and Samus Returns and over the past few weeks I finally made my way through the entirety of Super and Fusion! So with all of those happily off my backlog, I’ve begun the journey to the planet ZDR. The journey of Metroid Dread.
While I do feel there’s enough of a story recap at the start for those choosing Dread as their first game, I’ve gained a new appreciation for Samus having witnessed all of the struggles she’s had to face over the course of the series. She’s definitely grown on me as a character and I can’t wait to see this final mission through to the very end.

Alwas Collection is officially my first Switch boxed game of 2022 and I am quite fond of both entries so looking forward to a bit of ‘Metroidvania’ bliss. The eShop surprise release of SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash ensures I will have a quality time-waster for the foreseeable future. I also delved into my wish list and finally picked up Spectacular Sparky. I can’t believe it took my this long to plunge into this love letter to Treasure’s Mega Drive era.
Game of the week is Eschatos. It may be a decade-old game but it is brand new to me (I have been forcefully skipping purchase of it on Steam for years). It also comes bundled with two early shmups from the same producers, so go grab it!
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

I’m almost done with chapter 5 of Bravely Default II, so I’m hoping to power through these last couple of chapters this weekend. I’ve had a lot of fun with the game but I’ll be satisfied when it’s over. Once I finish that, I’d like to go back to Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Blue Reflection: Second Light, two games I sidelined a bit once I got obsessed with Bravely Default. When playing with friends, it’ll be the usual: Dead By Daylight or some Super Mario 3D World.
Started the Fire Emblem Three Houses DLC and Mega Man Legends 2. Really enjoyed the first one and now i get why people want Legends 3 so much
I'm thinking the Outer Wilds on Xbox and New Pokémon Snap on Switch.
Just finished Superluminal which was a good indie puzzler I'd recommend. Inception meets portal with the main mechanic being that you can alter the size and shape of objects depending on how you look at them.
I was also playing Alan Wake for the first time but I'm really struggling to get into that one. Hopefully I won't give up on it but it's not looking promising.
I’m trying to complete Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon without resorting to giving myself loads of lives. And just started Eastward, not sure what to expect from it so far
Switchland uber alles yet again - Distraint and Retrace, Torchlight 2 and Borderlands, Terraria and Aground, high odds of Fuga and DerQ, good odds of more open-worlders like BotW/Skyrim/Starlink/Immortals, maybe a dive into Bioshock 2 and/or Pillars of Eternity, a bite of Caveblazers and/or Vertical Drop Heroes on the side... and as usual, whatever the winds of mood might turn my sail to in addition or instead. Might finally try an open area in Mudrunner or just take a break from it since the challenges are finally done and the last one still gives me flashbacks.😵😄
On the other platforms, some Spirit of Justice is a given (and Fire Emblem Echoes isn't far behind), but I also might advance a bit more in Amazing Spider-Man on Vita - finally catching up with No Way Home can put you in the mood (and seeing the local Parker team up with the local Connors at the beginning here feels all the more amusing now). There's appetite for some SotN and God Eater, too.
Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon. First play through
SWITCH
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - still hunting down those Koroks...
Shin Megami Tensei V - put this one down for a bit before the new year for unknown reasons, now I'm picking it up again!
PC
God of War - replaying this awesome game on PC this weekend! Can't wait!
GTA Online - as usual, with friends later tonight!
Have a good weekend, everyone!
This week I will be mostly playing
Mario Sunshine
Mainly SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash. First time playing and I'm hooked. I started with SNK. Already collected the first five coins but I'm not quite ready for the semi-finals.
Zelda and smash bros.
Been playing zelda from the start after i lost my save file lol.
This time trying to do every side quest and shrine. Before facing ganon
Just jumping between Danganronpa V3 and The Binding of Isaac: Repentance at the moment.
As has been the case every day since last May, Genshin Impact. The Windtrace event (basically, Genshin Impact's version of Prop Hunt) is going on right now.
Maybe, if I have time, I'll play some Skyward Sword HD or Skyrim on Switch, but I also have some anime to catch up on, as well, like "Komi Can't Communicate."
Final Fantasy X, because it has been sat on my shelf long enough (having never played a FF), and I am determined to get to the scene with the stupid laugh. "STAY AWAY FROM THE SUMMONER" was a good bit too.
About to wrap up Mario + Rabbids tonight.
I’m at the last levels of World 4 though some battles take quite some time to complete!
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita) - Time to save the damsel in distress!
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Dailies and puzzle packs like usual.
Tiki Towers (Windows Phone) - Nearing the end.
Got Skyrim at Christmas. Still chipping away at that between shifts at work.
NEO:TWEWY (which is looking like it’s gonna be a much longer game than I expected) and Death’s Door.
@Mattock1987
Eastward is fantastic but expect a very slow pace overall. The Zelda-like portions make up a lot less of the game than I’d thought they would- a lot of it is more life-sim than it is action game. Definitely worth sticking with though, beautiful game!
3DS Bravely Default
Master System Rainbow Islands
Roguelikes. Hades and Slay the Spire are very different games but equally addictive. Dead Cells was also good. Any more suggestions on Switch or PS4? Scarlet Nexus is getting repetitive after 10 hours. Hurry up Elden Ring!
Sleeping Dogs on 360 to get the final achievements.
Cod Infinite Warfare on ps4 to finally give it a go.
Metroid Dread on switch to finally make some progress for first time in a few weeks.
I just started getting serious about Atelier Ryza 2, and now I'm 30 hours in and loving every minute of it.
I feel like I should be playing banjo kazooie on switch... where the hell is it nintendo
Just finished the very tedious starlink, so this weekend will be catching up on MHR event DLC and starting a new game.
What should I open and start playing?
Metroid dread
Sniper elite 4
Monster hunter stories 2
Zombie army 1
Not much for me, more board games than video games I think (loving Spirit Island multiplayer and solo). On Switch I may get stuck back into final fantasy x after not playing for a couple of weeks. Also started This War of Mine, albeit on iPad.
Just bought Hades so will be diving into that, also bought Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition and have started that.
Finished Chasm which I loved and playing some more Animal Crossing.
Oh, and also Huntdown in between all of that.
Phew, man, I have some serious gaming in front of me.
What a great problem to have.
Skyrim. Bought it second-hand for my Switch and started it. Pretty enjoyable.
Trying to play Pokémon Shining Pearl to wrap that up before Arceus. I’ve got seven badges now, but, man, I’m having a hard time sticking to this game. I don’t really have much else I’m playing at the moment. I’m ready for the next, big new game to come out once I wrap up with Pokémon. Hopefully I can just stick through it to the end now. It’s the first Pokémon game I feel like I’m sort of rushing through. For some reason, the battle system feels irritating in a way I don’t remember Pokémon feeling and the pacing just feels so off. Gen 4 was always my least favorite generation (no, I’ve never played Platinum), so I feel like I’m reliving disappointment and a feeling that the series has grown stale in this game. Lol.
Got azurebreak heroes for less than 2 pound and it is simple addictive fun. Never heard of it before, otherwise it’s old school for me. Completed the original quake campaign it’s awesome but even on easy those last few levels to me were pretty brutal and that final boss a bit rubbish really. Dusk is chuffing brilliant in the second chapter and loving it. Otherwise gonna do curse of the moon xxxx
@nhSnork O, DISTRAINT. It's very good and interesting game. I've completed it years ago on Android - original free version, not Deluxe. I'm hope that Deluxe delivers big improvements over original game, because I don't want to believe, that this is the same as original, but with just enhanced colors and No-Ads. It's worth 339₱ on Russian Google Play, if I don't confuse. I don't remember game's price on eShop.
Unfortunately, I've played nothing this week. 🙁
More MH Rise and Mario Party Superstars on the Switch front. Would be nice for Space Land to get picked for once, haven't had it appear at all online...
Just picked up The Messenger on sale. Only played it a little bit yesterday but, hot damn, it's a really good game. I know I'm late to the party on playing it but I highly recommend it to anyone that hasn't yet. So I'll be playing that and Age of Calamity this weekend in between watching the playoffs. Enjoy the weekend all.
While my wife and daughter are in bed with Covid, I’ll be continuing my playthrough of Death’s Door on Switch. On PS5 and Xbox respectively, I’m 6 hours into Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and about halfway through Ori and the Will of the Wisps. That’s three top drawer games, so happy times! Well, for me, not my family, unfortunately.
Sequence breaks in metroid dread - have managed to skip Kraid and the experiment boss, would like to practice getting the screw attack early too
After finishing The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Adventures late last weekend (one of the best AA games I've played), I played most of What the Golf throughout the week, so I'll try to finish that as I'm pretty close to the end. I really like the craziness and variety to it, but if I had any complaints, it's that those Par challenges arent very fun, and (this is a weird complaint) but the game feels too long. Some worlds just use too much of the same theme, and I'm kind of ready to see the credits at this point. Don't get me wrong, it's fun. But I think it's a game I should have spread out even more between rounds. Oh well.
I'm gonna try to finish it so i can start Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Hopefully it's around the quality that Doom 2016 set for me last year. I bought so many FPS games in a sale last year that I basically have to play one between every 3 to 5 games now. Haha.
EDIT: Ugh, forget it. The Wolfensteins were not that great from my initial impressions. I decided to boot up Doom Eternal instead, and INSTANTLY I was having total fun.
Random unrelated question but does anyone know how to fix an issue where the you tube videos in these articles stop playing automatically with volume? I scroll past them and they just start playing for some reason.
Same as last week, I’m still chipping away at Shin Megami Tensei V and Halo Infinite, and thoroughly enjoying both. Into what I assume is the final area of SMTV, and I’m getting wrecked by abscesses and by monsters ten or more levels above mine. And I love it.
As someone who doesn’t play shooters much, I’m also frequently getting wrecked in Halo. So this week I’ve added Unpacking into the mix. I’m not sure I love it, but it’s still strangely compelling, and I’m enjoying the environmental storytelling. More than the gameplay, TBH.
Oh, and I picked up Metroid Dread in Amazon’s sale. Won’t start it for a while, but I like to look at the box…
Monster Hunter world and a little bit of White Album 2 probably
New Horizons, Burnout Paradise, Fynix Rising. I am enjoying this game loop!
Happy gaming everyone!
Knack 2 babeeeee!!!
Been playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1 all week, and will be trying to complete it during the weekend. Or as much as I can as some bugs from the old versions seems have joined the Switch versions. Unless someone can tell me how to get that Captain America cat of the Black Panther to follow me? Do I have to select the right character or something, because it will not follow me the standard "Press A" way.
Gonna finish the first game in Ace Attorney Trilogy HD on Switch. It’s really really good, and it’s a shame I never gave it a chance on other Nintendo handhelds.
Might play some Shining Pearl or Metroid Dread as well.
EDIT:I just finished Episode 4 and I’m sobbing. Such a great game with such great characters.
I'll probably play some Fortnite, Dragonball Z Kakarot, and some classic card gaming with magic the gathering with my kids.
Been playing through Mario Galaxy 2 and DKC Returns. Will probably finish those up and then maybe start another Dread run
Get rid of winter fat

Dancing stage Mario mix
I’m close to finishing up dread.
@thedudeabides05 I picked up The Messenger for the first time on sale last month. I haven’t started it yet, but I’ve heard good things. So I am later to the party! One thing I like about this feature on this site is that it isn’t just people talking about playing the latest games.
I will probably continue switching between a few games: Crash 4, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, Dicey Dungeons, and to add to that I also started the Switch remake of Link’s Awakening. I played the GBC Link’s Awakening on 3DS VC a year ago so I am getting to go through it again with just faded enough memories of the puzzles. It is the first Zelda I’ve replayed. I have been getting more into replaying games I’ve finished. I never used to do it.
Oh, and I may renew/upgrade my NSO subscription this weekend so that will probably add some classics to my many in progress games.
A little Tetris 99 along with some Captain Toad with a Nintendo let’s us try it out
This weekend I am all about Smurfs: Mission Vileaf!
It's a near perfect replication of a PlayStation 2/GameCube licensed 3D platformer and I love it as much as I also groan at it.
I'm fighting the urge to purchase Dead Cells
More Xenoblade Chronicles 2, along with some Mario Party Superstar
Gaming time has been scarce for me lately, but Sunday looks like a quiet day for laundry plus more Into the Breach and R-Type Final 2 and maybe a few runs on The Flame in the Flood so once, just once, that poor girl Scout doesn’t die a grisly Oregon Trail death. 😬
Have a fun weekend everyone!
@JasmineDragon That game was a sleeper hit in my book. The whole alchemist system is super satisfying.
Started a new Minecraft Survival World, Used my first basic redstone, and made my starter base on a mountain. What should I do for my mega base? I'm thinking the laugh factory from Monsters Inc., but I'm open to suggestions!
Series S: Halo Infinite online and Tales of Arise (I can't wait for Hitman next week).
PS5: Ghost of Tsushima DC.
Switch: Fire Emblem Three Houses (my fifth playthrough, gameloop is too good).
Recently finished: Platted Spider-Man Miles Morales which I borrowed from a friend. Short story but overall the perfect lenght for 100% completion. I recommend it on sale.
Just picked up Kena Bridge of Spirits for ps4 so excited to try it out. Kinda want something to play on Switch to hold me over til Legends Arceus but not sure what it’s gonna be yet.
Probably try and beat Captain Toad before the trial runs out. Also been playing Snk vs Capcom Card Fighters Clash, which I suck at, I keep losing!
Probably gonna play some Brilliant Diamond and some Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
I also just bought Tetris Effect the other day. So far, it's really fun. So I might play a little of that.
Played some Fallout 4 on XSX this morning and may play some more later.
On Switch, a bit of Astral Chain and Mario Kart 8 DX with my kids.
I'm still working through Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and started Chapter 5 in my last session. Chapter 4 was...long, but I found one of my favorite tunes in the game, so it's all good. I also love that I can use Mòrag as a tank instead of Tora and Poppi since she has more options.
Also on Switch, I recently started a file in Ori and the Will of the Wisps. It's as much a visual and audio treat as the first game, and I'm already fond of some of the QoL improvements. Now to find Ku!
Finally, I'll be catching a few dozen Spheal in Pokemon Go this weekend. Gotta love Community Day during the winter months. 🥶
Happy gaming!
@Aispen Oh man I am excited to hear of others playing the legends series. They are both so good. Though I like 2 a lot and it has a lot of cool additions, Megaman Legends 2 fell just short of 1 for me. Would kill for legends 3.
Danganronpa v3 for me, I’ve just started chapter 5 and I’m really enjoying this one.
@nymbosox Youtube autoplay & sound on/off is likely a browser setting. Maybe a browser update changed the autoplay option, or set it to default.
This weekend, I'll continue to play through Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond, just grinding in the underground, building my team up for the Elite Four. Speaking of Brilliant Diamond, I also came across a shiny Skorupi, which was pretty cool. Beyond that, I'll probably kick off my yearly play through of my personal favorite game in Super Mario World, at some point as well. I don't know what it is, but I can never get sick of playing this game, IMO it's damn near perfection.
Edit: Apparently, community day is this weekend in Pokemon Go, so I guess there's that as well.
Got Cris Tales physically, some coupons and cost cuts combined managed to get it together with a physical pre-order of Disco Elysium for a total of some 50-ish euro's. Cris Tales has arrived a few days ago already. Really enjoying it for the most part, but the constant loading screens (for every random battle transition, both in and out, and every room you enter or exit) are annoying. Gorgeous game though. Finally one where the great art on the box represents the game itself, not another pixel art game (which I don't hate, but I hate it when a trailer or artwork is not representative of the actual art direction, and gave me higher artistic expectations).
Played Splatoon 2, and some newb with bloblobber was firing away with their character's head turned face down the whole time. It was precious<3😁 (that happens with motion aiming if you don't reset the aim, probably some kid, but it made me smile & chuckle.)
Played some Rocket League casual, ranked, and Rumble - got diamond rank in rumble.
Never completed my Captain Toad, played Episode(book?) two, levels 8-12, maybe? Some cool levels in there. Still haven't seen the New Donk City level.
@WoomyNNYes yup, the playback in feeds option is off but still plays. It’s funny cause sometimes ill be at work scrolling and a Nintendolife video just blasts at full volume randomly 🤣
It somehow took me like 2 weeks to finish Meteoroid Bread in under 4 hours, so before I do that again on hard mode I decided to take a break and play with some of the games I bought on sale. Untitled Goose Game is as wonderful as I expected it to be, KORG Gadget is like 8 billion times more complicated than the KORG synthesizers on 3DS and DS I've been using the the past 10 or so years, and Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit (a friend of mine found it on sale for 3000 Yen, as opposed to the normal 10000+ so he picked up one for his household and one for mine) seems like it would be really fun if my 3-year-old would actually let me play it. Anyway, with all these new games (and 5~6 more that I bought on sale in the past few months and haven't yet played!) I bet I'll be playing Metroid Dread again next weekend.
@Vyacheslav333 I had the game on Android before (from a Humble Bundle, I think?); the Switch port is 449 rubles, but I got it at 60% off the other week. Just finished it, too, I sure tend to wolf these games down on Switch - Bad Dream dilogy, The Long Reach, Worse Than Death... this one proved quite a ride as well. Hoping to pick up the sequel later this year.
As for the deluxe edition, the Steam page elaborates on it:
"DISTRAINT has been doing quite well thanks to the awesome community!
Deluxe Edition is my thanks to you. Take a look at what's new:
Dynamic coloring - Goodbye gray, hello color!
No more lantern - Increased environmental lighting
Enhanced animation, graphics, and lighting effects
Refined audio for better atmosphere
Improved user interface"
Probably doesn't sound all too deluxe to our spoiled gamer ears, but for a literal one man team these are still improvements. Especially since the visuals make up a lot of this game.
I'm doing some skyrim, halo infinite and minecraft java
@thenewguy It truly is. I can get stuck for hours! Synthesize, report, gather, explore, improve equipment, synthesize, report...
@kurtasbestos metroid bread
Currently almost done with Luigi’s Mansion 3. Then I’ll either be moving on to Axiom Verge 2 or I might dive back into Blasphemous once again (I want to try the new DLC but I’m not so sure I feel like playing through the whole game for a third time just yet).
I'll likely just be playing Among Us since Arceus is the main game on my list for the moment, but I'll likely be on Happy Home Paradise as well.
If I have some free time, gonna try and steam through as much as I can in Captain Toad with the NSO free trial.
ACNH which is daily. I'm back to playing Pokémon Shield.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. All I need to do now is to beat Mummy-Me Maze Forever and then I would have 100% completion.
My backlog is huge, I’ll probably try to finish metriod dread and maybe play a little of xenoblade 2 or 1 idk
I started playing Indivisible last week. It isn't a bad game at all but it doesn't seem to hold my attention like I thought it would. I love the art style and combat but whenever I play for just 30 minutes it feels like I've been playing for hours. So I decided to take a break from it and start Shin Megami Tensei V. It's only been 6 days since I started and I already have 15 hours in the game! Man if I played this game last year when it released this probably would've been my game of the year. I didn't expect myself to be so hooked on the gameplay but here I am 😂.
Finally finished the last route of Fire Emblem Three Houses, and it's been a ride. I'm keeping up the trend of finishing old games and I've gone back into Octopath Traveler, working on finishing the third of the 8 routes
It's a great weekend for me. Xebonlade chronicles 2, fire emblem awakening, and maybe some other little stuff with the kids. We played a little bit of untitled goose game for the first time.
OoT on the N64 appt, that game never looked better. Arkham Knight on PC.
My weekend will be a busy one, but if I have free time to play, I will play what I got from the eShop New Year's Sale: Tetris Effect: Connected, Kirby Fighters 2, Super Kirby Clash (now that I bought the Definitive Gem Apple Pack), GIGA WRECKER ALT. and Mendel Palace (Quinty) via Namco Museum Archives Vol. 2.
That and the free trial of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
Oh and also a short boot of Smash for that Evil Ryu Spirit.
@Zeropulse As a huge zelda fan these games feel just right to me. Got used to the controls of the first one faster than i thought i would but the second definitively improves a lot.
Right now i'm in the dungeon filled with water, and i pray i don't die and have to do it again, slooowly.
Great games and i regret never giving them a shot before now
My copy of No More Heroes 3 from Pix n Love finally turned up yesterday as I went for the Collector's Edition, so I'll be playing that FINALLY!
I also bought myself a copy of Burning Rangers for the Sega Saturn. As a big Yuji Naka fan, I feel I've missed out there, but finally I'll get to play it
I just 100% DKC Tropical Freeze and jeez was that game the perfect combination of fun and frustrating challenge! There was something about it that made me keep coming back for more. Now time to move on in the backlog. I picked up the Switch version of World War Z and so far it's alright. I need more time with it to see if it "clicks" with me properly. There's definitely some fun to be had with it but over the years of oversaturation of anything zombie/horde/Coop PvE games I can see how this one is very middle road. If it doesn't "click" I'll move on in my backlog to either Switch Doom Eternal or Red Faction GW 'ReMarstered'.
Did the first chapter of Captain Toad with the NSO free trial, will definitely play some more today. Also hopefully finishing Demon Turf.
If I find the time, I'll be playing MK8D, and I'm getting back into Ring Fit Adventure and Fitness Boxing. For the latter, if I EVER finally unlock all the routines, I "may" one day get FB2, but I'm not dropping new coin until I do. I still have a pair of RPGs staring at me that I have to make some sort of time for; Torna: The Golden Country and Boot Hill Heroes. Then there's Gley Lancer I'll dip a toe in.
Captain Toad - Slowly playing through and really enjoying it.
Aspire: Ina's tale - just now finished. It has some flaws but super beautiful and I'm glad I played it.
Crumble - fun 3D platformer though very janky.
Lost words - best hybrid visual novel-platformer I've ever played. Really well done and moving.
??? Looking for an RPG to pull off my backlog but haven't decided what to play yet.
Welcome to the weekend y’all!!
Purchased a ton of games from the recent New Years sale so…shout out to my backlog. My gaming this weekend will include some more MH RISE…I’ll finally be reaching HR 100 so looking forward to that. I’ve really been enjoying my time with SPIRITFARER and DYING LIGHT. Both games dealing with death in 2 completely different perspectives. Great games. At some point I’ll return to WITCHER 3, another excellent port. Other than that likely get continue some STREETS OF RAGE 4 with my boy!..having a blast with our co op play through. Seriously though…just too many games to choose from, I’ll have no shortages in 2022!
As always the weekend will be complimented with excellent food.
High grade strains on deck: LA Kush Cake, Platinum Grapes and some superb Red Congo 👌🏾
HaPpY GaMiNG!!!
@Ganner
Hey looks like Jack Eichel is close to making his debut! Nice acquisition! This coming from a Flames fan!…we almost had him lol
Just finished Zelda: Oracle of Ages and now just starting Seasons on the DS. Replaying Links Awakening on the Switch too.
Just picked up a 4K TV, so I will be playing many of my games for 5 minutes a piece!
Dragon Quest XI has its hooks in me. I came down with a nasty head cold (took two rapid tests and thankfully came up negative for Covid), so I spent some time with The Luminary. I was excited to play this game, but it’s exceeded my expectations. It’s unbelievably gorgeous and I’m loving the slow flow of the story.
Other than DQ, I’ll probably mix in some Smash when I have the time. Happy gaming, everybody!
I've got a hankering for Ghosts 'n Goblins, because I hate myself XD
NINJA APPROVED
Still playing SUBNAUTICA (switch). It's an awesome game.
I'll be Praising the Sun all weekend, with my first Sorcerer build playthrough, and continueing my first deep dive into pvp, which is still pretty active on Switch. 500 hours in now and still finding new ways to enjoy this game. I could play other games (i'm at the final boss of Dread and partway through Doom, both of which I really like) but then, Dark Souls is the Ultimate Greatest Game of All Time... and is seemingly endlessly replayable, so.
More Korok hunting in Breath of the Wild (currently have around 400) for gaming by myself. For multiplayer I’ll probably be playing Fortnite, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
I finished Chasm yesterday. It's a great Metroidvania game with a lot of charm.
Today I've been building the Sonic The Hedgehog Lego set and playing the Pandemic board game with friends. Later, I plan to play Huntdown and maybe Onimusha.
Minecraft and republic commando
Mutant Mudds Collection and Sonic 1 on my iPhone. I also plan to play more of the Captain Toad free trial
MK8D, MKWT and Tetris 99 for me...
This weekend, I'm playing games that I've been putting off/sleeping on for years: Resident Evil 2 remake, Captain Toad, and Kirby Plant Robobot.
Finishing up Persona 5 Strikers before diving into Island
Not getting a lot of game time lately, but I'm mostly focusing on Lego Batman 2
SMT V is the way for me!
@Rainz Yeah, we'll see what happens. The Knights have such an ability to acquire and build a team of top talent however it's embarrassing at this point that it falls apart in the post season. Nothing wrong with losing I mean for all top teams the post season is brutal. However, the Knights just fall apart and can never figure out how it all went wrong after another 'amazing' regular season
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition and Secret of Mana (VC). First time I've played Secret of Mana (even though I've had it downloaded for years) and am slowly chipping away at it. The soundtrack is awesome.
If his neck holds up he’s worth the risk. Hopefully his addition doesn’t solidify their dominance in the division 😛…don’t need to crush the hopes of Flames fans right now! Speaking of NHL…I probably haven’t played a proper hockey game on a Nintendo console since the Wii…think it was NHL 2K 2010 or something like that..atleast a full decade! When will sports return to Nintendo systems?
For me Eschatos only. I could not put it away for the whole weekend! Such an accomplished port of an outstanding game, it really rocks!

I'd say you have enough games there to keep you going for the next year - all three are huge games. They're also brilliant.
I was playing PSO2NG and made a Gunpla out of my character and I plan to do the similar treatment in Splatoon 3. And I played a bit of Mario + Rabbids, kicking butt so far. And I played some Pac-Man 99 and Tetris 99. I plan on getting SNK vs Capcom Card Battle and Samurai Shodown with a few DLC characters. I am hoping I will be able to pay for Pokemon this weekend.
