I love indies!
And the Switch is an Indie beast!
Silksong?!
…who am I kidding, it won’t be here…
There it is. Should be a nice presentation.
I really don't want to see Silksong, at all in one of these presentations.
It would completely overshadow smaller, lesser known games that deserve a chance to shine.
Silksong's not gonna be there, I'm just gonna say it right now. It's wayyy too big of a talking point to be shown in an Indie showcase. I mean, it got revealed in an actual Nintendo Direct, so it would make no sense for them to show it again in an Indie World presentation.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to this one. The last Indie World was pretty enjoyable.
I'll give it a look but not much has jumped out at me during these last few indie worlds. I'd like some release dates of already known games, but that's about it.
You know what I'd like?
Details of physical for Cuphead, I've been waiting for that for ages because of the DLC.
I am convinced the sole purpose of these is to blue ball us on Silksong periodically.
And there is the rumoured news we were expecting. 3pm is an awkward time for us Brits though.
I hope there's a good metroidvania games in the showcase, I can't get enough of those 😃
What about Sports Story?
The last Indie World was great, very excited to watch this!
....if I wasn't at work at that exact time. Bugger me.
Regardless, my hope is another Cadence of Hyrule-esque announcement of an indie-developer using a Nintendo series in their own game style. A Mario platformer by the creators of Celeste anyone?
Everyone wanting deets on Silksong and here I am wondering if there'll be any update on "Bear and Breakfast" xD

Can we finally get a release date on Outer Wilds?
I wonder if we'll get an update on Outer Wilds, the last info on that was release window of late 2021.
20 Minutes isn't long, so probably no big reveals. Still excited because the Switch is truly my indie machine.
A lot of doubt for Silksong, but I'll still hold out hope for that one.
Really the only indie title I can think of that I want, outside Haunted Chocolatier which is probably a few years out.
Any hopes of BOTW 2 to be showcased 😄😁
Silksoooooong!
But even without Silksong, Indie World is always my favorite Nintendo thing to watch. Aside from something like BOTW2, I rarely get excited about AAA titles anymore.
I'm crossing my fingers for a Hat In Time 2. Not gonna be there but im still hoping.
@Perryg92 Amen!
I think it would be really funny if Deltarune Chapter 3 + its pricing was revealed.
Finally. It's been ages since the last one and I'm really itching for some interesting indie games to play in-between my bigger titles. There hasn't been a ton releasing on the eShop lately.
My eShop olympic size swimming pool of indie games will probably added to further.
Silk song please! I need Water! (As if that’s ever going to happen lol, am I setting my self up for disappointment by still having hope? no shoot)
Why we want an announcement of Silksong? We already know it is coming at some point. Release date announcement does not have to be part of this. I want them to spend more time to announce games, not talk about games we already know about.
With a few exceptions, these broadcasts are usually pretty disappointing.
Silksong seems deeply unlikely. That's big enough to be a main Direct announcement.
Inscryption would be a neat port, but I'm not expecting it.
@TRSDRT Oh. Hi user that joined the site 20 minutes ago to complain about THE GAYS. I hope you have a good day.
What I think it's likely to see: Sea of Stars, Blasphemous 2, Teenage Ninja Turtles, Sports Story.
What I think it's unlikely, but I'd love to see: New game from Playtonic Games (Yooka Laylee), from Shin'en (FAST) and from The Game Atelier (Monster Boy).
What I know I won't see: Hollow Knight Silksong.
I WANT SILKSONG AND I WANT IT NOWWWWWWWWWW
@TRSDRT The heck did that come from let alone necessary?
Still keeping my fingers crossed for a Witchbrook Switch announcement! A shadow drop would also be amazing but it looks like a good cozy game to play in Fall.
@Vriess all Indie World Showcase have this runtime, Nintendo can reveal and showcase a lot of new/previous indies in this runtime.
Hoping for Tunic.
Silksong was never real, like that genie movie with Sinbad.
Some news of Hotel Chocolatier would be good. Bored of people going on about Silksong.
A release date for Shredders Revenge would be great but unlikely to happen.
Silksong has disappeared completely since a feature in Edge magazine around 2 years ago so I’m guessing it’s stuck in development hell.
I’d personally love to see a 3rd Ori game or a sequel to ‘A Short Hike’ or an indie first person shooter along the lines of Modern Warfare.
@Happychocobo Please stop trying to temper our completely unreasonable expectations.
@kingbk @RupeeClock
I’ll gladly take footage of Blasphemous 2…but I’m pretty sure it’s too early.
Still hoping for another Lost Winds game after all these years…a guy can dream, right?
I don't expect anything in an Indie World direct to end up in my library. That's just how it's been for me.
It would be nice to see a firm release date for Metal Slug Tactics and Sea of Stars.
Headliner is probably gonna be Sports Story this time around. Silksong is likely to show up at June main Direct
I'm not a fan of indie directs, I find the games blend into each other. When you see an indie in a main direct, it stands out because it looks different from Pokemon or Mario.
Sports story release please.
@Thumbsofsteel I want Lost Winds on Switch soo badly!! I wonder who even has the rights for that these days?
Hopefully we get a release date for outer wilds
So it will be tomorrow 11 May 2022 at 9 pm in my place Indonesia.
I think I will absent playing Epic Chef PS4 for tomorrow to prepare watching Indie Direct.
Hopefully some good 3D indie games.
I wonder if there will be new indie games from my country Indonesia 🇮🇩 on modern consoles.
Shredder's Revenge release date announcement? 🤞
Just give me a release date for TMNT Shredder’s Revenge please & thank you.
There's usually at least a few indies that pique my interest. Looking forward to this one!
We are having Silksong tomorrow. Thanks Tram Cherry
I'd be happy to have any news from Annapurna thanks.
I want another 45 minute Nintendo Direct.
All I need to hear: TMNT: Shredder's Revenge out NOW!
Tmnt Shredders revenge will drop
Silksong will not appear
steamworld heist 2 or get f'ed
Is there any chance we could see Cardshark news?
Oh neat. More indie boredom fests with FEELINGS! and STORY! and DIVERSITY! and METROIDVANIAS! (because apparently indies doesn't know any other genre besides boring visual novels and trite metroidvanias), and non-gamer developers tellings how their game is awesome because of any other thing except, you know, BEING FUN.
woo hoo
everytime watch indie game must alot ( slow type ,unknown fantasy world ,random flying , background speech )
hope can see this game coming
The Ascent
Anno Mutationem
@HolyGeez03 came here to say the same thing. I’ve been periodically checking for updates on this game to no avail.
Trust me guys they're gonna show Silksong in this showcase
My birthday is tomorrow so this is a nice little gift, hope it will have some solid titles
@DK-Fan
Depend on who is the developer.
There are some good 3D indie games such as Epic Chef, Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles, Overcooked All You Can Eat, Moving Out, Kitaria Fables, etc.
Not every indie games are lazy cheap games.
@Personausermike Yes! TMNT release date please!
Honestly, I hope this is an Indie Showcase for me. I’ve missed purchasing little indies for my Switch. I’m hoping to see Sports Story too and a couple of other surprises. I feel like indies have been in a stale place the last two years or so, so I’m hoping that there’s a game to rekindle my excitement. Also, given how much time I’ve sank into Elden Ring, I’m looking forward to games that are more or less purely fun rather than showcases for skill, just as a change of pace
What I expect for this presentation are these:
Shadowdrop OMORI?
@somnambulance Nice! I also play Elden Ring. Over 100+hrs and beat the game with 2 endings and Malenia but still play for fun. On that note, my just for fun break game from ER was Kirby. My first Kirby game, it was a nice break
Sports Story would be nice, but curious... does anyone know of another indie game featuring in multiple showcases? Sports Story is kinda unique as its been delayed by so much, but it would surely need to have a locked release date that's very soon in order for Nintendo to feature it a second time? Fingers crossed anyway.
I'm not much of an indie guy, so I don't plan to watch it. That said, they occasionally announce a gem that really excites me, like Cuphead and Tetris Effect (which are such big games, I'm surprised they were in an indie presentation and not a Direct). I can't really think of anything left on that caliber I would want to see on Switch. Maybe some of the other games that were showcased in the PS5 event in 2020 like Little Devil Inside or whatever it was called.
@somnambulance Yes, I think it's safe to assume that the indie devs have suffered a lot, both during and off the back of, the pandemic. Hopefully we're approaching a "floodgates open" moment...
Don’t really get why people don’t think Silksong is a possibility here. I’m not getting my hopes up for it but it’s far from impossible, for Team Cherry’s money it’s a great place to reveal a release date or shadow drop since they wouldn’t be fighting against any other huge reveals like in an E3 Direct (or a Direct in general). It would dominate tomorrows headlines versus being one of several big headlines during a bigger Direct day (assuming they even want to reveal it with Nintendo in the first place).
They dropped Ori and the Will of the Wisps at the end of an Indie World and that’s about as blockbuster an indie game can get (it’s not even indie really). If Microsoft felt that was the best time to drop that game I don’t see why Team Cherry wouldn’t do the same (again, not expecting it but I wouldn’t rule it out).
Goody goody.
Here's hoping this one is actually good, though. Other than Omori, I don't know what the December one in 2021 had.
@Personausermike I’m in Farum Azula at the Godskin Duo. Currently level 96 with 60 hours in, and I’m so addicted that when I do have game time, I just want Elden Ring. I did take a break for two days to beat Kirby though!
Hoping to see the next Steamworld game!
They’re working on a 3D one. And it’s been a while
Hopping on the SPORTS STORY PLEASE train. Also excited to see whatever my next roguelike obsession will be (Rogue Legacy 2?)
@mr12calvin I had no idea about this! I have loved every SteamWorld game, super excited about whatever's next.
@mr12calvin Yes please.
Also hoping that Siralim Ultimate has a release date announced. Maybe.
(Switch port from Steam has been confirmed, now it's the case of 'when'.)
@somnambulance Good luck! I'm a mage, so I use Mimic to distract and spam from a distance.
Brilliant i love the indie showcases.
@DK-Fan you sound like you need a banana🍌
Metal Slug Tactics... Metal Slug Tactics... METAL SLUG TACTICS!!!
Aww, I'll be at work for the presentation so I'll miss the livestream Hope everyone has fun. I'll leave my prediction...umm...a walking simulator where you have to avoid standing on cracks in the pavement, hapless pedestrians and roadside obstacles.
Aw dang, right at the vet appointment. Though I have been watching VODs rather than loves for these for some time now.
a short hike 2?
I'm one of the very few that tried Hollow Knight for many hours and just couldn't get into it, so I don't care too much about silksong. Here's what I do care about!
-Firm date for TMNT Shredders revenge
-Firm date for River City Girls 2
-release window for Sports Story
LONGSHOT:
-Cuphead 2 (Yes I know DLC is coming next month)
-Streets of Rage 5
@Personausermike Strength/dex build for me, so I die a lot. Lol.
@AtlanteanMan
This seems like the most likely of everyone's hopes.
@DK-Fan What a buzzkill...
Also, let me guess, "diversity is good but I wish they stop shoving it to my face"? That's a classic at this point.
Good stuff. Always interesting to see what indie games get shown/highlighted in these showcases, good exposure for these smaller titles.
Ori three. Yes I know it won’t be there, let me dream.
Incredible hyped. Intends 1sr party and then Indies makes up most of my Switch library. AAA 3rd party? That’s for PS5.
@RandomAndy I can totally get behind A Hat In Time II.
Admittedly it’s a reach, but I’m hoping for more info and/or announcements on or of the following coming to Switch:
.. Granted these are not all “Indies” per se, but they’re mostly digital offerings.
… Wun can only hope!
Silksong would be big enough that it deserves to be part of a larger Nintendo Direct. Leave this little showcase for some interesting titles that deserve a little more spotlight.
@wuntyme8 Omori was confirmed for Switch.
@anoyonmus I’m aware, thanks. Just saying a new Switch version trailer and/or update + definitive release date would be nice for that and all others on my list ; )
still waiting on Fall Guys
You know what we haven't seen in a long time? An indie game featuring Nintendo IP in its spotlight. I really hope we get more stuff like Cadence of Hyrule again.
I’m guessing Outer Wilds gets a firm release, same with Fall Guys. It won’t ever happen but I’d love an announcement of some Hades DLC.
Hollow Knight's silk song or F-off
Turtles release date? My dad works at Dotemu and said it will launch next week.
The 2 indies I'm most looking forward to are Silksong and Playdead's next game. If either of those appear, I'll be happy.
