Re: Hardware Review: BittBoy Portable Video Game Handheld

Tetsuro

Nintendo GameBoy Mini. 49.99€.
Slim, slick, almost same form factor, Li-ion battery (xx hours runtime), clear LCD screen, multiple colors to choose from (red, white, etc.), very high quality plastics and everything.
No cartridge (it's slim). 4.99$ per game (downloadable).
This? ^^

Re: Talking Point: EA and Bethesda Highlight Nintendo Switch as a Portable Powerhouse at E3

Tetsuro

Just stupids expect same performance as other consoles.
Just make good games that we will want to play. If you can do FIFA portable just do it, without thinking it must be on par with PS4 because we Switch owners aren't all stupids and we do prefer less texture and 'coreography' than nothing at all.
Only stupid reviewers will gave a game a 5 because it's subpar to other platforms. It is a given, we have portability too though and motion controls. We are appeased with that.
We expect less detail, though we expect 'fluidity', so less detail but mantain frames per second.
FIFA looks good, Skyrim looks good. Pursue this path.
Don't eat moaners bait.

Re: FIFA 18 on Switch to Include Ultimate Team, EA Boasts of Most 'Advanced' Portable Version

Tetsuro

If FIFA PS3 was good this should be definitely better. Don't be fooled by moaners, and review the game honestly, not biased.
No one likes EA but games should be judged impartially. Who needs Frostbite? We know the limitations of the hardware, so just review it taking this in mind because there are people that want just the best experience on the Switch console, not just a perfect port from other (beefed up) platforms. People will want to play this on their bed too or on their train, etc.

P.S.: Online multiplayer is a necessity.

Re: Poll: Are You Excited About Nintendo at E3 2017?

Tetsuro

People here is cautious, and rightly so. I'm just waiting for the Spotlight, but like anyone else I'm not expecting big announcements. I hope they will give out some new stuff though, because it will strenghten Nintendo Switch momentum.

Re: Review: ARMS (Switch)

Tetsuro

@WOLF1313 I'm not a Nintendo fan, I'm just an enjoyer of good quality games. And I liked very much that demo of ARMS, what I have seen in that demo make an already good game, eventually they final product has more stuff so yes... most reviewers are just off.
I'm not gonna criticize those 8, but those 7 are off.

Re: Review: ARMS (Switch)

Tetsuro

@OorWullie It's priced at 59.99 so it's right to pretend lot of content, though it doesn't look so low to me. Also online seems premium and the game looks so polished and balanced, well... less than 8 just looks as an insult. Some reviewers are just untrustable.

Re: Review: ARMS (Switch)

Tetsuro

Good review, hoped it would get a 10.
Seems polished enough and 'perfect' to deserve it but well...
It failed miserably on other sites, I think this review eventually is the fairest, 77% at gamerankings looks just unjust.

Re: Three Months After Launch, People Are Still Queuing For Nintendo Switch Consoles In Japan

Tetsuro

@StuTwo But they need not to bury anything, because before or later those consoles would find a sale. And production can be tuned down progressively, but lost sales are lost sales, and those reflect with the software too where is the big gain.

Admittedly 25.000 per week isn't high for a new product, so they should've been more bold with it. They instead thought at the Wii U and pitched short.

Nintendo 3DS initially has eventually been over produced, the thing did not sell like crazy, but they met all the potential sales without leaving the stores empty, and that has been good.

Re: Three Months After Launch, People Are Still Queuing For Nintendo Switch Consoles In Japan

Tetsuro

Being cautious is being losers. Nintendo do not bankrupt by providing more units to market, while they LOSE sales by providing less. And after 3 months they still can't deliver more than 25.000 units per month that are numbers of late life for a console as the Nintendo 3DS shows.
And eventually they will be unable to satisfy console demand spike for their new IP Arms.
So yes, shame on them.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Considers the Future of Nintendo, the Switch and NVIDIA

Tetsuro

Speculation. It's obviously likely that they will continue their relationship, as they will likely use one or two generations beyond Volta in five to six years. Volta will be out this year and it will not be cutting edge then. With that piece of SoC I hope every talk about performance will cool down, since the Nintendo Switch already bring good graphics to the player and the Nintendo Switch 2 can't be less than perfect. There is no need to push forever in the graphics department (sure they should use latest mobile technology for every launch but let's not be so mad about it). Even now it's good enough.

Re: Preview: Trading Blows With ARMS on Nintendo Switch

Tetsuro

It looks so cool. Nintendo always amaze me by doing everything perfect. Music, game modes, everything is just in place. I love so much the minigames too, remind me of the Super Smash Bros I played with my GC. It's just 'big'. Obviously it's fun to play too.

P.S.: Nintendo music composers are the best in the industry.

Re: Video: Can You "Button Mash" Your Way to Victory in ARMS?

Tetsuro

I almost did all button mashing, not exactly that... but not using tactics. I did win very often.
Also parrying for me it's very bad against a button masher. I find parrying almost useless since there is deflection.
The only time I lost was a few volleyball match and in a 3 people fight.
3 people fight is bad, 4 people fight is decent. 1 vs 1 is the best mode.
Though volleyball if fun 2 vs. 2. Not much 1 vs 1.

I had fun with the game, it's good even if movement with the motion controls is clunky. I played only with motion controls but I think that without it should be easier. By this video I see so much more responsive and far easier to move, and I think this can be worrying for competitive gaming.

Competitive with Mario Kart 8 isn't good, Arms to me it's better.

Re: Review: Disgaea 5 Complete (Switch)

Tetsuro

Bravo, good review this one.
I appreciate that you underlined the chaotic approach of the developer.
It's definitely a good game though I find it more dispersive than the original, too much useless things thrown in.
It isn't definitely for everyone and it could get refresh on the UI and everything.

Score it's ok. 7, 8... certainly not a 9 (though the original on PS2 deserved it).

I like it, my children (9 years old) had problems with UI and such.

P.S.: Less content with a 39.99€ price tag would have been more appealing.
