Re: Here's How Much Space ARMS Will Take Up On Your Switch

Tetsuro

@Nintendoforlife I mean it's not immense like Zelda nor Mario Kart 8. I'm not saying it's dry, at all, but it's still a 10 fighters 10 stages game with nice bonuses. It should not be so costly to make it a 50 euro game.
I'll buy it, but I would like to see it sells in the millions instead of those '800.000' copies (because I would like to see a sequel of it).

Re: Review: Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers (Switch)

Tetsuro

Graphically wise it look decent at best, animations are substandard, everything looks too bold and contrasty.
I'm really curious about the score it gets here, and I don't know why it gets published without a score...

Anyway overpriced, and customers will eventually reply to this with their wallets sealed.

It does not look good (though it does look decent), this time Capcom has eventually flopped.

Re: Video: This Fan-Made Clip Is The Best Commercial For The Nintendo Switch Yet

Tetsuro

Cool. Why they don't give the money to professionals like these guys instead of cheap marketing heads?

Oh, they are russians, I see... it must be some trumpy philosophy: everything must be done in-house.

I have to say that my first book got its cover from an italian artist, the other two from an ukrainan one. Well I'm more satisfied with the latter artist. Good is good, whatever the nationality.

Re: It Looks Like Dino Dini's Kick Off Revival Is Taking To The Pitch On Switch

Tetsuro

So it's not good as Kick Off or Kick Off do not please actual audience? Because if it's the latter I would consider to buy it since Kick Off is still a funny game, and should be a perfect match to the Nintendo Switch. It does look good from the video.
I did play it with a 'switchy' joystick back then (Amiga).
I do like Kick Off more than sensible. Sensible was a bit more 'limited' gameplay wise. Certainly a good game that too, it had far better 'coreography', Kick Off was a bit bare but I liked more the gameplay.

Re: Galaxy Fight Is Your Next ACA Neo Geo Game For Switch

Tetsuro

It's a decent game, just very hard, even at the lowest level of difficulty.
I will definitely skip this, though it has good graphics, very good AI and decent characterization (though characters are few).
But still too hard, and that's a big no for so many people.

Re: Owlboy Is Coming to the Switch

Tetsuro

Graphically it's really gorgeous. That's what I expect from indies.
Hope this will actually sell instead of that **** by 'Edmund McMillen'.
It will not. I'll buy anyway.

Re: Random: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Patch Removes Offensive "Bras d'honneur" Gesture

Tetsuro

@Markiemania95 After: 'Indeed in North America and the UK (for example) it's not offensive at all'.
Before: 'Well, it seems using the other hand to clench her flexed bicep might cause offence in various countries including France, Spain, Italy, Georgia, Portugal and Latin America, where this Bras d'honneur gesture is akin to flipping the bird'.

I'm suggesting him to get a US version and to flew to US borders since he isn't happy about the patch and europeans and latins are the culprit. ^^
Also he can ask to Nintendo to not patch 'their' version.

Re: Random: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Patch Removes Offensive "Bras d'honneur" Gesture

Tetsuro

Well, it means 'take it in your ass'. Isn't it offensive? Eventually english people thinks differently, it's because of that they are out of Europe.
Eventually they can from now on share game versions and sales figures with U.S.A. and being fagocitated by it becoming the 51th State. "Hi Donald, we salute you."
I'm not for censorship, it doesn't personally affect me that gesture, though I understand it's no good per se nor towards children.

Re: Preview: Going Some Rounds With ARMS on Nintendo Switch

Tetsuro

After the Direct I can say I'm sold. Mini games, free updates, robust both single and multiplayer. Definitely it's the next big thing. And Mario in the fall will make an earthquake.
2017 is simply too cool to believe.
Looking forward to Splatoon 2 too.
Best Nintendo year ever.

Re: Random: German Tech Blog Imagines What The PlayStation Switch Would Look Like

Tetsuro

Well this looks like the PlayStation 5.
Eventually at the end of 2019 they will let the PlayStation 4 die and replace it with an hybrid.
The future looks hybrid, that's it.
If they can wait 2019 they can assemble a powerhouse with 7 nm technology, otherwise they can shoot to fall 2018 with 10 nm. Still it will be easy to port games over from the PC (and PlayStation 4). And all people knows in the industry that you can't boost assets forever because it became a too costly game to play.
That's the future. Though I wonder if Nintendo can then withstand the PlayStation brand, the graphics competition and the non-popularity over the +18 segment.
At some point Nintendo should become a general brand, not focused on kids (while still developing their games aimed at kids).

Re: Review: Garou: Mark of the Wolves (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)

Tetsuro

@Rei Real Bout episodes are all excellent, you can't go wrong with any of them. Real Bout 2 has the best graphics of any SNK game (beat 'em up), period. The first has the best music and a bit slower gameplay, it's also harder. It's really all about taste with these episodes, it would be difficult to say 'this is the better one'.
And the Garou in this review can't hold a candle to any of them.

Re: Review: Garou: Mark of the Wolves (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)

Tetsuro

@jbopatrick It is, the fact that you adore decent games doesn't mean they are great.
Quality is about quality, not about amusement of one person. And not about 'I got first'.
I can say that I enjoyed more Last Blade than Last Blade 2 but the latter is same level quality wise. It's not the case of Mark of the Wolves that's clearly inferior to RBFF or FF3 on many points, especially the roster of characters.

Re: Review: Garou: Mark of the Wolves (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)

Tetsuro

@GrailUK Nope, not really. I do like SNK beat 'em ups, outside of SNK I like Street Fighter II and Street Fighter Alpha 2.
Capcom is very good as SNK. Though I love more SNK because characters have far more charisma (Birdie for example is horrible in SFA), backgrounds looks better, high quality gameplay, etc. Though SF has high quality gameplay and collisions, also graphically solid.
SNK died in 1998. From 1999 onward produced just average games.

Re: Review: Garou: Mark of the Wolves (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)

Tetsuro

@Rei You don't need any experience since it's the more streamlined episode of all. It's easy to beat, it has 'easy' characters that appeal to the masses. Those that a sheep would say 'hey, it's cool'. It has computerized animations that looks 'complex' to immature eyes.
This is the 'Fatal Fury' (if we can still call it like that) watered down for the masses.
