Wouldn't it be great to have a boss like NCSOFT's Kim Taek-Jin? Recently he announced to all his employees that he is going to treat them all to a Nintendo Switch console along with a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Chatting to Korean media afterwards, he simply said he enjoyed the game and wanted to share the experience with his employees.
The South Korea-based company is known for producing incredibly popular MMORPGs such as Aion and Blade & Soul. Might Kim Taek-Jin be considering taking advantage of the Switch's supreme portability for a port of these MMORPGs perhaps?
We'll see in good time, but nevertheless it's another example of the impact Switch and Breath of the Wild have had on gamers of various types.

...I would make a reference/joke about me still not having a Switch, but I have one now. (well, not yet, it's being delivered today, lol)
Best Boss evah~
My boss feeds me sushi though. Gloats disgustingly
You're forgetting Lineage 2. That games a masterpiece. That come way before Aion and Blade&Soul
My boss gave me a pen once...
That's awesome. I would also say it likely suggest their support for the Switch will be strong. Why else ensure that literally everyone that works for you has access to the console?
All I got from my line manager is as a Switch... In role
@Joeynator3000 Happy for you, Joey. You played BotW yet?
An old boss of mine gave me an expensive lighter with my name on it after taking me out for a surprise birthday dinner. Week later he sacked me.
South Korea likes the switch? Hmm maybe nintendo should try and capitalize on that market a little more... I mean it would be a good handheld to bring to those internet cafes they like so much.
@gcunit I have the Wii U version. xD
Well now we know where all the stock went.
@Joeynator3000 Ayy switching to the other side are we.
This could be Wii all over again. So many feel good stories already and it hasn't even been 3 months yet. Maybe, just maybe, lightening can strike twice!
Does this mean City of Heroes is commimg to the Switch?
he must hate his employees because they got stuck with breath of the wild.
@ogo79 Oh, yes. What a terrible fate he has bestowed upon them.
Second only to my boss who continues to allow me to come in and ruin their lives every day.
@Rafx I'd give anything to make this a reality. Though I much prefer it to comeback on PC MMO with keyboard and mouse just feel more natural. Just waiting for Valiance Online to fill the void of CoX
So that is where all of the switches are going.
@Kayfios They were met with a terrible fate.
@Joeynator3000 What games are you getting along with it?
@Elpizo For now just Thumper until next month, then Tetris. (then hoping for Arms as a b-day present, lol)
@Elpizo does your username stand for "I hope"?
@Moon Plus the money to buy a Nintendo Switch... and other type of love.
@dd_dpa
Valiance Online?
@Moon
What did you do? keep sheep in it?...
That's pretty incredible for the CEO of a mostly PC MMO company to be so passionate about enjoying playing Zelda on Switch that he felt the whole company should experience it. No doubt it's a double edged gift. Personal enjoyment he wanted to share, but more importantly a mindset/mentality in game design he wanted to make sure the whole company had experienced to learn from it, I'm sure. That's quite a statement about the game.
I wonder in part if it could indicate some NCSoft games on Switch, but I'm not sure an MMO would work reliably enough portable outside Asia to be relevant (or released) here. It doesn't seem like a choice platform for always connected gaming.
@Joeynator3000 enjoy!
@Rafx there are a few spiritual successors to CoX.
Here are a few:

I've actually played Valiance Online. These are all early builds. As far as I know Valiance Online isn't even in alpha yet. There is also a new successor called Redside but the concept just started this year. You can download and play Valiance Online right now

I believe this is the way forward
Nothing like working for cool people.
Nice one.
@dd_dpa
Thank you kindly!
@Joeynator3000 look into Snake Pass, too. Different but fun.
@ieatdragonz Yeah, competitive play, too.
Honestly I think it's genius. I'm not into MMORGS but hey if I could play it anywhere this could be incredible.
I haven't play a MMORG since I played MUDs back in the BBS days! Lol
@BlueKnight07 I saw Snake Pass, doesn't seem to be for me, really...
!!!
My boss gave me a stress ulcer
I haven't seen my boss in so long, I almost thought i was self-employed for a while.
Where do I apply?
@Spoony_Tech I just hope the shovelware lighting doesn't.
The Nintendo Switch isn't even officially available in South Korea yet!
@Spoony_Tech I sure hope not. The Wii library was pretty darn poor overall imho. I mean I want them to succeed, but all within reason. Nintendo is incredibly complacent as it is. I'm afraid that once they have once more an actual reason to be complacent, the little progress we made in the last couple of years, will be - if not undone - at least forgotten.
I think Nintendo tends to be at it's best when it's under pressure - not when they feel comfy.
My boss game me a $10 grocery card every year for Thanksgiving. He also offered for me to buy an iPad for a raffle for our company. Supposedly it was to increase sales. You bet I was not going to put my money into his business.
I got a switch from my work instead of a bonus. I was chuffed, the wife less so! Cool idea though.
In my job, we give money to buy gift for boss on boss day (Oct 16) and Christmas.
I played Blade and Soul on my laptop and really like it. I saw a trailer for Blade and Soul Complete and started playing it on my laptop and hope it comes on the Nintendo Switch so I can play on it.
