Nintendo completely blew the chance to bring these to the 3DS. It was the perfect, non-retina-burning, platform. They could have even offered full color versions of the games but that time is long gone. What a wasted opportunity.

Don't let the commercial tie-in fool ya, Cool Spot is truly top notch.

How playable is this without localization? I know it's baseball, of course, but beyond that, how text-heavy is the game?

@Anguspuss - The Ms. Pac-Man distribution and royalty rights are a shared mess among several parties, which all seem shady and poorly handled. Namco still hold the rights to Ms. Pac-Man but not the royalty distribution. It’s quite a disaster.
That said, Namco has had countless opportunities over the past 25 years to ditch the “Volume” approach and package Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man together (Galaxian and Galaga, too, for that matter).

@Anguspuss - Preach it. Namco's been pulling this volumes nonsense for decades... and that price tag is ridiculous. God forbid they should ever put Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man together in the same collection. Just cram all the good stuff in one package for once like everyone else and be done with it.

Dragon's Lair 1 & 2, and Space Ace (three notoriously troublesome games to emulate) for just under 10 bucks is a bargain.

Good god, Namco, are you EVER going to put Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man together in the same collection?? ...or Galaga and Galaxian, for that matter? I grew exhausted with these "volume" releases two decades ago. Enough, already.

I'm sorry but the NA is so awful that it's fantastic. It's one of the most famous box illustrations of all time. Perhaps, THE most famous?

Nerfing your game for a fraction of a percentage of players is so very Nintendo.

Strange? Definitely yes. The strangest Nintendo game? Stranger than Earthbound? Hmm...

Ugh... just let players do whatever they want. I don't see how this hurts anyone. Plus, it seems to be a very small percentage that time travel. Why punish the majority for the sins of the few?
But more importantly, are we getting a whole lot fewer balloons (not egg balloons) than we were when the game first came out?

@Crono1973 - I'm assuming mine did, since there's no "update controllers" option on my menu. I think this is for any joy-cons that weren't connected during the update.

Rhythm Heaven on 3DS is a treasure.

Related note: Just downloaded The Messenger (on sale in NA) and am loving it.

The real challenge here is finding a copy of Ring Fit Adventure that won't require a second mortgage.

The "Staircase to Nowhere" is the biggest (and only genuine) giveaway that Redd will soon arrive.

Played through both of these underappreciated masterpieces on my teal blue GBC. Highly recommended.

I wish I could get into this game, it's a spoils of riches that no other game comes close to matching, but I am a disaster at fighting games, which makes them completely un-fun for me. Wish it weren't so.
BTW, how many more characters does this game really need? Isn't it plenty enough at this point or is it just one of those unquenchable thirsts that will never be satisfied? Are there players who truly need more options in this insanely jam-packed title?
That said, the Ninja Turtles would be a pretty cool addition.
