After purchasing and playing this over the weekend in single player and online with a group of friends, "7" seems high. The driving model is uninspired, the tracks are long and boring and the environments are unremarkable.
With the lack of content and shallow gameplay, there was nothing compelling me to keep playing. Bleh.

@earthinheritor - I wouldn't call higher res textures and reduced aliasing a big graphics improvement. Seems more like bare minimum effort. And don't forget, if you want a quality of life feature that should have been included for free, Nintendo is happy to charge you another $25 for the convenience.

@Kilamanjaro - Amico doesn't own Centipede (or Centipede Recharged), it's published by Atari Inc and developed by Adamvision Studios and is launching on every system currently on the market including the VCS. Amico's marketing had nothing to do with the trailer.

With the SNES, arguably, having the greatest games library of any system, you'll never get the order right on this list, as it will be different for everyone. That said, this list is completely invalidated by the omission of Mario Paint.... and Axelay... and Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts... and Super Star Wars... and Pilotwings... and Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse... and Earthworm Jim... and Super Smash TV... and Tiny Toons: Buster Busts Loose!

Nah... none of that stuff. Just give us a couple bargain bin titles every few months. Nintendo knows best.

How is this screen bigger? It's very difficult to tell what's going on from the images. Is it just wider with no height increase? The height looks the same as the current Switch.

@ThomasBW84 Unfortunately, the trackball/spinner add-on is a must-have if you want to "legitimately" play the games that natively use that type of controller. Pricey? Indeed, but arguably worth it if you're a fan of those titles.

This list is all kinds of wacky. Up is down. Day is night. For example, not placing Mega Man 2 or 3 at the top spot is blasphemous on its own but to set them 5 spots apart is truly bizarre. I thought they were "two sides of the same coin".

Make it generate only 10x4 tetrominos and THEN you've got yourself the world's easiest game of Tetris.

Initially, I played in handheld mode and couldn't crack 30th, then I played it docked normally placed between 10 and 20. I'm guessing it's due to the crazy amount of noise on the screen during a match, so when I played on a larger screen, it was easier to see what was going on and I felt like I had more time to react.

Whatever you think is happening, lower your expectations by 90% and you'll still be disappointed.

That's a pretty good looking list, now, even though Dragon Warrior III at the number 2 spot (currently) is a bit generous.

With the exclusion of Contra, Blades of Steel, DuckTales, and Battletoads, there's no way this is an official top NES list.

Scalpers are the worst but selling a game once it exits the retail market isn't scalping.

I'd love to give Nintendo my money for these but they don't seem all that interested.

There are still so many great options left for new characters: Streets of Rage, Battletoads, Knights of the Round, Sir Arthur, Popeye, Bluto, Golden Axe, Bonk, Final Fight, Strider, Ōkami, more SNK, etc. but we'll probably just get more Fire Emblem and Pokémon additions.
