Everyone's got their own idea of the perfect island on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but realising it is another matter. We've seen the islands of our dreams in our heads but haven't been able to make that a reality. Although we can't visit our non-existent ideal islands through our dreams, we can now visit those of others thanks to the latest update.
The island featured in the video above in particular caught our attention. Not only is it absolutely stunning and jam-packed with amazing areas, but it also puts the game through the wringer in a way we've not personally experienced ourselves. Whilst exploring the frame rate plummeted, pop-in was an absolute joke, but it only served to make our time there all the more memorable.
We found this island belonging to @imotarez on Twitter thanks to the tweet above, and we heartily encourage you to have a meander through it as well. If you do, let us know how you got on in the comments below.

The pop-in is by far the best part of that island.
4:40 is the start of the island visit itself.
The time it must have taken to make the island is insane, the sheer attention to detail down to even the fishing shore is incredible.
I can totally respect the amount of man ours it must have taken to make this but for my taste, it’s just too crowded and messy. I used the dream thing for the first time yesterday, and while it’s cool it’s also super weird with the ncps and villagers chatting to you about dreams 😂
I find a lot of island's are super cluttered! Like some kind of horizontal hoarding tick. Some islands look completely inoperable - as in no space for the villagers to operate. On my island I like to see the villagers stop and sniff or water the flowers, no way can they do that with several layers of chintzy fencing or obstacles. I've also found that by de-cluttering the natural vegetation, I can get the villagers to venture out further into the upper elevations (incline existing).
This felt like I was watching hoarders animal crossing edition.
Man, i wish for more design slots, i used all mine just for paths and got nothing for furniture or my house.
@KoopaTheQuick LOL my opinion is that it's some kind of display of wealth. Deffinately not design related.
I can see how a lot of people would like this island, but I wasn't super impressed. I did like the little laundromat, though. That was pretty creative! I ran around but most of my visit was spent trying to find my way back to my bed lol
Quick question, if I put a code up for my Dream Island do I need to be online for people to visit?
My island is simple without very enigmatic pattern like some users played ACNH.
It was like their island were overcoated by rainbow jam and sprinkles on a bread bun while my island layout is simple yet still looked stylish. Simplicity is the key.
Btw, this is a screenshot of my island progress as i stood in front of Apollo's house.
I checked that island. The framerate drop coupled to the heavy clipping made me leave with an headache...
@KoopaTheQuick
Not yet. 😅
I haven't uploaded my island on Dream island as i still adding bridges and inclines on my island.
But you can visit my island directly from Dodo airlines.
I always play Animal Crossing docked so my TV can dejudder the 30fps performance and make it look like a nice and smooth 60fps, so when I went to my first dream island it was pretty shocking to see frame rate drops. Since I'm using dejudder it looks even worse. It looks like the game is going from 60fps to 25 or whatever it is dropping to. In the youtube videos I've watched of people visiting dense islands, and when I've visited dense islands (via Dodo airlines, not dreaming), it seems to stay locked at 30fps. I wonder why dreams would lag the frame rate?
I like the video and the island, thanks!
looking at what other people have done to their island is making me want to restart the game over.
Mine looks garbage
@Anti-Matter nice clean design on your island. Even your mini map looks neat and tidy
"Most amazing dream island in Animal Crossing"
