@Serpenterror Those games may have had everything in the card at launch, but I’m talking about Nintendo rereleasing a Switch game with updates added to the card, post-launch.
@HammerKirby Outside of Nintendo (maybe) releasing a game in a different region or as part of a special edition, when has Nintendo ever rereleased a physical Switch game with patch and content updates included on the card?
Spoiler Alert: Game companies are not your friends. They are a business out to make a profit. Studios have been double-dipping since the early days of gaming. Compared to other financially predatory practices we've seen from countless other studios, this ranks awfully low and in no way warrants a scorched earth approach when it comes to reviewing and scoring this title. It's pretty crazy how more than half of this review dwells on a petty gripe.
@hadrian Yeah, it's a very nice collection but is heavy on the 2600 and arcade. More 5200 games would be very welcomed. I mean, there's only five on this thing... Five!
As usual with Atari collections, far too many of these games require a spinner/dial/paddle or trackball controller to be properly experienced and enjoyed. Sadly, analogue sticks and D-pads are poor substitutes.
@NickDaddyCool Yeah. That "most" statement is a bit vague and I don't buy it. In fact, I haven't bought the expansion upgrade. I'm still perfectly satisfied with the basic subscription. Also, Nintendo seems uninterested in manufacturing additional N64 controllers beyond the launch day batch. I might reconsider my holdout if they ever decide to make more or those things but, as usual, Nintendo is silent on updates.
For whatever crazy reason, the game isn't using motion blur and might not even be antialiasing, in which case, everything will automatically feel slow and look awful.
Qix is a fantastic video game that stands the test of time and is one of the few games that can be played with just a joystick (even though it has an optional button).
@Ogbert 100% correct. It happens every single day. He's a lead programmer and no one's ever heard of him (like most game developers). Dude, obviously, wanted to self-promote.
@4RT_D3CO - Minish Cap wasn't my first Zelda game. Heck, it wasn't even my 6th or 7th but it is my favorite. Ocean's Heart scratches that itch and I'm all for supporting small studios.
Nintendo knows these are guaranteed gold for scalpers and yet they still think offering 4 per customer is a good idea. Maybe cut that number in half and the rest of us might have a shot at getting just one before the bots.
@BloodNinja That’s why I said reactive. They’re simply reacting to previous patterns that anyone can Google. None of these analysts have a crystal ball. Most of their predictions tend to be fairly safe and obvious.
Let’s see: a new Mario Kart (the top selling game for the Switch) is being worked on and will offer something different from the previous version and Nintendo “could” mention it this year. Wow. What a bold prediction.
I predict quite a few people here wish they could earn a living making reactive guesses about things so far in the future that no one will care or remember or hold you accountable when you're wrong. What a gig.

Re: Talking Point: Did All The Switch 2 Leaks 'Damage' Nintendo Or The Console's Reveal?
Yes. The leaks "totally gutted the reveal", but they did not "damage Nintendo or the console's chances". Those are two separate things.
Re: Nintendo Download: 16th January (North America)
@cyrus_zuo Yep. 8 years and not one TG16/PCE game on Switch. Crazy.
Re: Rumour: 'Switch 2' Will Reportedly Be Officially Revealed This Thursday
I, for one, am shocked there was a completely unannounced reveal for Nintendo's biggest news in 8 years. Shocked, I say!

For something so rare and, apparently, impossible to manufacture, maybe don't sell them 4 per customer.

Chose Kirby, thinking it would be lower in the rankings. Was surprised to see it at the top and not the Ninja Turtles or Lego Star Wars.
Re: Switch Online N64 Controllers Were Restocked Today, Did You Get One? (North America)
Dear, Nintendo,
Please stop selling N64 controllers four per customer.
What's that? You don't really care about scalpers?
Ah. I see.
