Re: Switch Users Report Problem With Error 2123-1502 Following System Update Issues

Sunsy

This morning, I had this error. I tried a hard reset (holding down the power button for a few seconds, then back on), and downloading works fine now for me.

Updated Hyrule Warriors and DOOM 64, and downloaded a few smaller games, no issue on my end.

I updated after they put the update back online. Really hope those having problems get this fixed and working again.

@Zachuratedphat I guess a hard reset worked for the both of us. Will admit, it's sometimes easy to forget the Switch sleeps and never shuts off fully.

Re: Nintendo Resumes Distribution Of Switch System Update 12.0.3

Sunsy

Downloaded this morning. Updated Tetris 99 and redownloaded classic Doom, and it worked smoothly for me. Hope those having problems can get this sorted out or fixed.

The oddity is it's still update 12.0.3. If that was the version number for the bad update, shouldn't it be 12.0.4, or 12.0.3a (I've seen something similar when some games get hotfixes).

I don't know programming so I'm only making a guess here, I think it would be common knowledge a device would see 12.0.3 and not update to the same version since it sees it as "up to date."

Re: Video: Yuji Naka Actually Made This Hidden Gem During The Wii Generation

Sunsy

I'm glad someone is giving Rodea a look, have the Wii U/Wii combo pack. Enjoyed playing the Wii version more.

Yes, I've played Balan Wonderworld. Sorry, but I'm one of those people who likes the game. Got it for my birthday earlier in the year. Took it like a puzzle platformer, using costumes to reach certain places and explore. Some of the story scenarios made me a bit emotional at times too.

My only real complaint with Balan Wonderworld, the lack of a dedicated jump button forces me to keep a costume that can jump at all times, and the lack of pressing B to go back in the menu. Otherwise, I like it.

Sorry, I formed my opinion after playing the game.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Replay Games?

Sunsy

I always replay games and rewatch shows and movies. Literally, Sonic Battle has been my go to GBA game for the past few years, and I recently replayed an old Jimmy Neutron GBA game just because I felt like it. I always revisit old favorite games. Also, being a Sonic fan, when there's no new games, I like to replay older ones.

Same applies to shows and movies, can't count how many times I've watched Trolls, Smurfs The Lost Village, or My Little Pony. I just love watching them, why would I stop watching them if I seen it once?

I just can't be that person who plays or watches something once and moves on. Games, shows, and movies that are my favorites, I always will enjoy going back to them.

Re: Gallery: Hallmark Is Releasing Some Fun Video Game Festive Ornaments

Sunsy

Definitely going to try and get the Sonic ones. I was decorating the tree last Christmas, after I put up my Mario, Peach, and Yoshi ornaments, I was wondering why haven't I seen Sonic ones yet.

Also, I think they'll be a nice addition to other character themed ornaments I've gotten over the years.

@Heavyarms55 Usually Hallmark stores tend to sell them early. I remember ordering a Trolls ornament from them last year, and received it while it was still summer. Other stores usually sell them closer to Christmas.

Re: Random: Nintendo Has Uploaded Its Switch Online Trailer (Again), And It's Still Getting Disliked

Sunsy

@boxyguy I have to agree with you on this one, it does feel like a classic game subscription service. Which isn't a bad idea and I don't mind that part of NSO at all.

The bigger problem for me is the fact that the service is required to play online multiplayer in most games, unless it's a free-to-play online multiplayer game.

Again, I've always been a PC gamer in addition to being a Nintendo fan, so there is very good reason why I don't like the idea of paid online subscriptions for online multiplayer. Online play is free on PC, all you pay for is your Internet service.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 10th)

Sunsy

Birthday this past week gave me Crash 4, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, and Balan Wonderworld. Will be playing all three of those this weekend.

So far, enjoying both Crash 4 and Balan Wonderworld (sorry for disagreeing with popular opinion), but I'm hoping to put time aside to play Bowser's Fury as I want to check it out without distractions.

Re: The Price Of Animal Crossing's Sanrio amiibo Cards Are Already Skyrocketing On eBay

Sunsy

@Ks123 That's because Target's website sold out. According the the Target ad, you had to go online, order, then drive to the store to pick them up. They did exist on Target's website, because the website sold out, it won't appear publicly on the site.

Friend tried to get a pack, and he was on the site after 9AM Friday. They were on the site at one point that day.

Re: Free-To-Play Fighter Brawlhalla Adds Kung Fu Panda Characters To The Roster

Sunsy

Saw the trailer this morning, this really a cool crossover. Also, being reminded to watch these movies. Given I enjoy other DreamWorks movies like Trolls (my favorite movie series) and Mr. Peabody and Sherman, I have a good feeling I'll enjoy this series.

Been playing Brawlhalla more lately thanks to the game having cross-play. It's fun just playing with my Xbox friend.

Re: Feature: Best Game Boy Advance (GBA) Games

Sunsy

Cool to see Mario Kart Super Circuit make the list, as well as two of the Sonic Advance games, even if my favorite of the three, Sonic Advance 3 didn't make it.

Will say of the Sonic GBA titles, Sonic Battle remains my favorite. Really an underrated game in a popular series IMO.

Re: Video: Here's Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Apex Legends On Switch

Sunsy

@HamatoYoshi Why not both? As someone who likes Apex, playing Apex got me interested and made me buy Titanfall 2 on PC. They take place in the same universe, so I'd like both. Titanfall 2 is really underrated.

If they got Apex to run, I don't see why they can't with Titanfall, it's the same engine, a modified Source engine, which is pretty tweakable (once used a tweak guide to run Portal on a non-gaming laptop years ago).

@JR150 Hence why I consider Titanfall 2 so underrated. Really a very overlooked game at the time.

Re: Video: Square Enix Shows Off Balan Wonderworld's Local Co-Op Mode

Sunsy

@DragotheKomodo Honestly, I feel the same way as you do about this game. I played the demo and liked it, I was even playing it more last night trying to collect more Balan statues, which gives in to my love of exploring levels and reaching places.

I see what they're doing with this, the worlds are meant to be surreal and about helping someone with their troubles.

Will admit, I'd like a bit more polish. I did notice a framerate dip right when a level loaded. Hopefully that bit of polish is in the patch. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to this game.

Re: Poll: Rate Your Favourite Game Boy Advance Games

Sunsy

Thank you guys for adding Sonic Battle, rated it. Definitely one of my favorites, even if story mode can be a bit grindy at times. Still a fun fighter based in the Sonic universe with a good story, fun multiplayer, and arcade-style challenge mode.

Re: Poll: Rate Your Favourite Game Boy Advance Games

Sunsy

Yeah, there's no result for Sonic Battle. There's lots of games I love on GBA, including Mario Kart Super Circuit, Puyo Pop, Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi Kaznapped (hey, it was a good cartoon tie-in game), it disappoints me I can't rate Sonic Battle, one of my favorite games on the system.

Re: Best Nintendo DS RPGs

Sunsy

Sitting here being reminded I need to play my copy of Sonic Chronicles. I got the game as a gift years ago, played for a bit, and it's been sitting in my backlog since. Other games I was playing at the time got in the way.

Re: Feature: A Brief History Of Nintendo’s Home Hardware Add-Ons

Sunsy

The Satellaview always interests me whenever I see it online, in a "this is early online gaming" kind of way. Similarly, my brother and I had Sega Channel on his Genesis. Early online stuff is just interesting to me.

I had the Super Game Boy, I still have my Game Boy Player. Not listed, I still have a GBA e-Reader with several NES and Animal Crossing cards.

Re: Happy MAR10 Day, Everyone!

Sunsy

Already celebrated a bit by playing some Super Mario Party mini-games, and wearing my Princess Peach shirt because it's one of the few Mario themed things I have to wear.

Maybe play another Mario game later, not sure which one yet.

Re: Ubisoft To Show More Love To Free-To-Play Titles Moving Forward

Sunsy

@Northwind I have to agree with this, after playing a few F2P games, there are games I haven't hit any sort of paywall. Good example, I played Apex on PC for over a year before I ever decided to buy my main a cosmetic item. Very happy it's coming to Switch.

I've played Brawlhalla for years at this point, again, haven't had the need to buy anything, characters unlock using coins earned from simply playing.

I agree, even if it is an unpopular opinion. I also believe it's where online multiplayer is going, due to a game being free leads to more players and it doesn't require a subscription to play on console. Brawlhalla does have 50 million players, that's not a small number at all.

Re: Apex Legends "Champion Edition" Physical Release Confirmed

Sunsy

Free-to-play download version on Switch, I have the Lifeline edition (Lifeline main here, ready to provide support for my potential Switch teammates) digitally on PC. Probably will grab a skin for Lifeline after launch.

@LillianC14 Actually, the Xbox One and PS4 version of the Lifeline and Bloodhound editions of Apex surprisingly include the game on a disc.
