As a PC player of this, looking forward to March 9th. Been wanting this on my Switch just to be able to play it away from my PC. One of the few BR games I like.
@anoyonmus When my friend mentioned Panic Button, I nearly screamed out of excitement.
Saw this video earlier, geuinely, I want to get Super Mario Advance 4 on Wii U now after watching this. The e-Reader stuff is interesting, this is coming from someone who owns an e-Reader, but never this game.
As one of the few BR games I like, I'm definitely going to grab Apex as soon as it's announced. Been playing this occasionally on PC, really like the teamwork aspect, and won a few games because of it.
Controller is cool, but I think I'll stick to my pro controller for this one.
Nice to see Nintendo Life give a shout out to Sonic Battle. I love the game, and I still play my GBA just to play it. I would love it to get a re-release. Story mode is a bit of a grind, but challenge mode is just arcade fighting fun, and it's fun with a friend (I have an extra copy I can play two player with).
Also, Sonic Heroes. Really like the game, and wish it would get re-released on Switch or even PC. Unless that happens, I'll still play it from time to time on my GameCube.
I remember playing Devil's Third as curiosity got the better of me and bought it digitally. Rather than a sequel, I was probably in the small percentage who wanted a Switch port. Enjoyed my time with the game.
When I get Super Mario 3D World, it will definitely be physical for Switch. I have the Wii U version digitally from when I was snowed in on a Mario Day years ago and wanted a new Mario game to play.
Maybe this is why I'm starting to see games on the Wii U and 3DS eShop have $1.99 as the lowest too. I'll still check sales on those systems, and the cheapest on both is $1.99. I'm guessing it's not only Switch with this rule.
Didn't know the game was already at season 4. Haven't played in a while. I really do like the game, but the holidays had me a bit busy, so hoping to jump back in.
@Kienda I knew about the Fire sticks, but didn't know I did not need Amazon Prime for it. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep it in mind when looking for options to watch Netflix on my bedroom TV.
Sad news, I still use Netflix regularly on Wii U in my bedroom (just got done using it). The living room has a smart TV. I have it on my laptop too, but my laptop isn't constantly plugged into my TV, my Wii U and Switch are.
@Zequio You and me both. I keep my Wii U and Switch plugged into my TV, so I watch YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix there.
I would say I'm both. I play my games, but always end up keeping them. Often times, I do go back to playing older games in my collection. I still play games on my older systems, not just Switch and PC.
Got Hyrule Warriors, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, and Giraffe and Annika for Christmas, so I'll be playing those this weekend. Also, more Wing Commander Privateer on PC.
Still play my Wii U from time to time. While I haven't played this entry, it's pretty cool to see Commander Keen getting a Wii U release. Had a ton of fun with the classic DOS ones on Steam years ago.
Voted for my top three this year. Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Animal Crossing, and Burnout Paradise. I tend to vote for games I actually play, so those are getting my picks.
@Snatcher My guess is because Stadia is possibly using the PC version. While I haven't played it (if I decide to, it will probably be PC, I'm a Nintendo fan who's a PC gamer), I keep seeing the PC version runs better than the Xbox One and PS4 version.
Some retro gaming for me this weekend. Already played some Wing Commander Privateer this morning, doing some missions. Planning to play later today or tomorrow, Sonic Mega Collection for Sonic 3D Blast. Can't really explain why, I just enjoy playing this one every Christmas season.
@LatsaSpege There's no building to worry about. Unlike guns, the gauntlets (your weapon) attacks with elements (such as fire, ice, toxic), and they can be combined (example, attacking others with toxic, then using fire). In a way, it reminds me of the weakness system Pokemon has.
I do enjoy Spellbreak occasionally, I'm really glad they introduced Clash mode awhile back, and looking forward to those improvements. I like how Clash is basically team deathmatch mode, and gives another mode outside battle royale.
Clash battles are fun, but go on for long, so I'm interested in seeing how the score needed to win updating work.
I love behind the scenes stuff like this. I still play Sonic Heroes occasionally, and it still find it kind of cool the last island on Seaside Hill is shaped like a whale, so it's cool seeing that concept shown.
Awesome, now I get to say I have both versions of Hot Pursuit 2010 on Nintendo systems!
I was enjoying some races in the Wii version earlier, and looking forward to experiencing the "other" (for lack of a better phrase) version for the first time.
Rarely play Smash Bros. online and when I do play, it's usually wireless and mainly with my friend. Though wired is possible given the router is in the same room as my Switch and I sometimes used a wired connection on my PC to download larger games on Steam. All I need is the adapter if I need to ever get one.
@Anguspuss On PC, I find bigger games download from Steam quicker on wired than a wireless connection, if that's anything to go by. Can't try on Switch since I don't have the adapter. Also, Internet service speed does play into this.
My picks go to Sonic Heroes, Unleashed, and Lost World. Though, will say Sonic and the Black Knight has always been underrated IMHO. Went into it expecting to not like it because of the critics, and ended up loving it, especially after the twist.
Already grabbed Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX thanks to this sale. I've had an eShop card waiting to just buy this one, and been wanting to buy it. Missed out on my chance for a physical copy years ago and it's pricey now.
The running 0 is pretty clever. Just hoping for a new game announcement or something cool. I'm sure I'll like it.
@Apportal As a fan, I care, but next year is Sonic's anniversary. Mario's was yesterday's. Understandable why it's not spoken much of yet. Excited for both anniversaries being a fan of both series.
Personally, when it comes to anything, I just don't like limited timed offers in general. Sometimes I'm unable to go out and buy something day of release when the store opens. I'd like to just walk into the store and buy it without the stress and worry of "I'm never going to get this."
I already pre-ordered Super Mario 3D All-Stars online, and hope it comes in the mail with no trouble. Just because I want to play a game, doesn't mean I should have to rush out to pick it up.
I like what Sonic Mania did, made a special version called Sonic Mania Plus with extras like a reverse cover and book, but still provide a standard edition afterwards for anyone who wants to buy the game.
Never played the original games, but I remember seeing this series on and off as I browse gaming articles on the Internet over the years. I'd be interested in trying a Pocky & Rocky game out of curiosity.
On the list, I have Super Mario 3D All-Stars on pre-order. Hoping to get Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for Christmas or sometime after, and looking forward to Shin Megami Tensei V. Have plans to get Super Mario 3D World as I own the Wii U version digitally, and would like a physical copy on Switch.
To be honest, I totally forgotten about SXSW this year. Hope they figure out something. For me, I just want some news on upcoming games if there is one. I've been patient as I tend to replay old favorites in this series.
@Twi I'm one of those guys who cares about Sonic, and still enjoy this series in general.
I think some in the comments are missing the point, they're selling just that, a steelbook case and advertising it as such. This is more for people who want the steelbook case for their physical release of Darksiders Genesis.
This is different than selling an empty case with a code. This is obviously for collectors who want something nice for the game they bought.
Alright more Puyo Puyo! If this is the big holiday game Sega's putting out, I'd be ok with that. Loved the first and Champions. Come to think of it, the first even made me track down a copy of the older Puyo Pop GBA game wanting more Puyo Puyo. I am very happy with this news.
Very surprised by this reveal, not sure if I'd play it though. Did watch the show itself last year when it was a YouTube exclusive, it was excellent IMO. Worth a watch if anyone remembers the old Karate Kid movies.
A friend told me about this. Still a good deal for those who haven't played both games, honestly I feel Team Sonic Racing is rather underrated. Though, it is sad the version of Mania isn't the Plus version with the added content (I've been seeing this "Plus less" physical version in the wild for awhile now), even if the DLC is pretty cheap.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, awhile back my power went out, and the game refuse to connect because of no Internet. It just gave me an option to continue offline and I was able to play single player.
As long as the single player DLC is present, or it's the physical copy from Japan I'm guessing (I don't have a Japanese copy obviously), and is not connected online or in airplane mode.
Haven't noticed this the few times I played online. I did press home to check my friends list since my friend hopped online, only to get the "pressing home while in game can result in a penalty" message. I wasn't in a battle yet, only the lobby and practice area.
Honest mistake, but I know for next time. I usually do not disconnect from online games until the match is over (this goes for any online game I play). Would have been nice to have a heads up beforehand.
@Anti-Matter I have the single player mode too being someone who also plays offline. I have fun with the single player mode and hope for more chapters. Like the story Van has so far, would love one for Lucy after the anime that came out a few weeks ago.
I haven't observed any behaviors like this aside from a few who stand there doing nothing. My only real problem is the running around idling. What if I'm running around looking for a player to fight and the map is too big, or there aren't as many players in the lobby? Will that count as idling even though I'm actually playing?
Haven't tried version 2.0 yet, yeah I'm still playing the game. Even won three online games, and have fun in friend matches with my friend. We both enjoy it, I'm happy to see it made it passed 4 million downloads.
Honestly, I go with both physical and digital. Mostly physical for series I really really like, and digital for some smaller indies games or games that just don't have a physical release, or if it's a physical copy that is rare and costly just to buy.
@DrJoson I fall in the same camp, I enjoyed Zero a lot more than I anticipated. I had a feeling I may like it, but ended up liking it more. However, I'd buy this and a remaster of Assault (as it's one of the GameCube games). Such an underrated entry in the series IMHO.
@Toshiro_Baloney You're not, I'd consider Assualt one of my favorite GameCube games.
Current weekend gaming plans include Burnout Paradise on Switch, and if I get around to it, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux on 3DS. Picked it up again the other day after seeing SMT in the Direct Mini.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and have fun gaming.
I played the game on PC for a bit. Then one day, Microsoft Store errors happened. Shame, since I loved what I played. Either going to wait for the Microsoft Store errors to get fixed, or for it to come to Steam given they did say more PC platforms soon, before playing again.
The update does look really nice, hope this doesn't have the same issue the NA PC version has.

@HotGoomba To add to what @MasterJay said, Titanfall 2! Between Apex and Titanfall 2 (I played them on PC) Respawn made some excellent games.
