Dark Souls Remastered. Having dabbled in the series before and quickly getting bored I wasn't planning on playing this at all. But my wife and father-in-law were both going on about it, so here I am.
Trails in the Sky FC/SC remain among my most favourite games, but I've never played Cold Steel I/II so I'm not sure I want to jump into this one without the necessary backstory.
Story/character development is majorly important in the LoH games so it feels kind of wrong to risk having a half-baked experience.
TBH I'll probably end up buying it. I'm a sucker for a good jrpg.
I should finish my first play through of Fire Emblem: Three Houses tonight.
That might be it due to work and paperwork for my own business I've been putting off, but if I get the chance I'll either continue with SteamWorld Heist or start the Isle of Armour expansion for Pokémon Shield
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is still my main game of the moment. Also a bit of SteamWorld Heist now and then, along with some Borderlands co-op if we get the chance.
@Incarna I played and enjoyed the first two on PS3. Never played PS, but I recall it being well received by critics. In your opinion is it substandard compared to the others?
@Ooccoo_Jr the experience is strongly built around co-op, especially Borderlands 2 where some quests are just an infuriating slogfest against huge waves of enemies.
If you can rely on consistent co-op either online or off then the grinding isn't much of an issue.
@h15c0r3r mine games from time to time, every now and then she just gets obsessed with a game. Last year she got hooked on Breath of the Wild to such an extent I bought her a Switch just so that I could have mine back.
Just finished the first Spyro game in the Reignited Trilogy. My kids have watched me play much of it and I had to resist turning the air blue during the final chase with Gnasty Gnorc.
I'll be starting Borderlands tonight with the wife and I'll find time after that for Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Final Fantasy X. I've had a week off work and managed to plunge 35 hours into the game so far and I want to get as far as possible before I go back to work on Monday.
@JoeDiddley Octopath Traveler is great. I was like you at first tbh, bought it on release and lost interest after about 10 hours. I've gone back, restarted and despite my limited gaming time I'm now about 125 hours in and gearing up for the endgame content.
I'm not usually much of a completionist but this game really got it's hooks in me after chapter 2.
Chapter 1 can be a bit tedious and the game is a bit too grindy at times but if your a fan of lengthy RPGs then the game is ultimately worth a bit of patience.
@JoeDiddley FFX was my intro to the series too. I havent played it for about 15 years and I just bought it for Switch again. Looking forward to revisiting it.
Octopath Traveler. I've done most of the chapter 3 stories now and some of those boss battles are getting very challenging. It's fun trying to figure out a way passed their defences.
@Rpg-lover the one thing that irks me about is the fact your HP/MP don't regenerate on levelling. That's been pretty standard in RPGs for a while I feel.
Playing ARMS free test and loving it. Definitely will buy at some point, will be great for family game time.
Trying out the Bravely Default 2 demo. Combat feels sluggish compared to Octopath Traveler but it's growing on me. Liking the characters and art design.
Still chipping away at the aforementioned Octopath Traveler and will likely play some Mario Kart 8 and Bubble Bobble 4 Friends with the kids.
Haven't played the original Bioshock in years, still one of my favourite all time games so I'm pleased to see the collection on Switch.
Never played Xenoblade, that'll be a day one buy for me. On top of that for me is Trails of Cold Steel III, Bravely Default 2 and Catherine. Spring/summer is starting to look busy for me.
@monterxz Warframe is such an underrated gem. I played it on PS4 and Switch, but it's such a time sink I decided to stop playing so that I could find time to play other games.
Blue Fire, Baldo, The Last Campfire and Faeria all look quite appealing to me.
Don't know much about Sky: Children of Light but as it's from thatgamescompany I'll most likely buy it. Journey and Flower remain two of my favourite games.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 11th)
Mainly Dark Souls Remastered, and some New Super Lucky's Tale to de-stress after.
Re: Retro-Style RPG CrossCode Gets Treated To Some Lovely Physical Editions On Switch
I pre-ordered mine on play-asia a while ago. Looks like a great game, reviews seem quite positive.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 4th)
@super08mario my son has New Super Lucky's Tale. It's a well designed game and I'm planning to give it a go at some point.

Re: SteamWorld Dig And SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition Are Getting Physical Switch Releases
Will definitely be grabbing this. I already have a copy of their SteamWorld Quest release.
Re: Video: 12 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In July
I have a pre-order on the physical copy of Crosscode, but that isn't out til late August.
Re: Review: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III - Falcom's Famous Series Was Worth The Wait On Switch
I'm on the fence about this one.

Re: Taito's November Update For Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Will Double The Number Of Levels
Love this game. Great to play with the kids, even if they are more of a hindrance than a help.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 20th)
Fire Emblem: Three Houses is still my main game of the moment. Also a bit of SteamWorld Heist now and then, along with some Borderlands co-op if we get the chance.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 13th)
Alternating between Fire Emblem Three Houses and SteamWorld Heist.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 6th)
Mostly Fire Emblem Three Houses. I'm over halfway through the Black Eagles story and it's really kicking off, after a slow start.
I've also been playing a bit of SteamWorld Heist, the smaller levels are a nice change of pace from my lengthy FE3H sessions.
It's my last day of holiday so I'll try and play some Borderlands with my wife too.

Re: Amazon France Strikes Again With Another Mystery Nintendo Switch Game Listing
@dewokkel your probably right. Wishful thinking.
Re: Amazon France Strikes Again With Another Mystery Nintendo Switch Game Listing
Metro Exodus is my hope. We already have the first two on Switch, the third one seems logical.
Re: Reminder: Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Wedding Season Starts Today
My wife has played every day since release. I think she's roughly around the 410 hour mark. Never seen her so absorbed by a game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 30th)

Re: Poll: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
My copy arrived this morning, but I'll be finishing Fire Emblem: Three Houses before I give it a go.
Borderlands also arrived and I've taken next week off work to enjoy some co-op gaming with my wife.
Re: Review: Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix - This Digital Diva Is Perfectly At Home On Switch
Tried the demo. I was embarrassingly bad at it. Rhythm games are a genre that's always piqued my interest, but I'm simply terrible at them.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 23rd)
Fire Emblem Three Houses and Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 16th)
Just got Fire Emblem Three Houses for my birthday this week so I'll be playing that. Also a bit of Doom 64 and some Mario Kart with my kids.
Re: Excellent Digital Art Software Colors! Is Making A Grand Comeback On Nintendo Switch
@Kimyonaakuma I thought she looked familiar.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 9th)
Hoping to finish Final Fantasy X this weekend and I've just started Doom 64, so probably more of that.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 2nd)
Final Fantasy X. I've had a week off work and managed to plunge 35 hours into the game so far and I want to get as far as possible before I go back to work on Monday.
Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For May And June 2020
I have the Borderlands collection pre-ordered and a week booked off work for some co-op with the wife. Also have a pre-order on Xenoblade.
Will also be getting the bioshock collection but as I have the Metro games, and various Dooms to play it can wait.
The Outer Worlds may be worth a look but I don't know much about it yet.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 25th)
Octopath Traveler and if I find the time some Splatoon 2 and Asphalt 9.
Re: Review: Trials of Mana - Old And New Combine To Create A Fine RPG Adventure
Haven't played the original through the Collection of Mana yet, so I'll hold off for a while.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 11th)
Mainly Octopath Traveler, I'm about 90 hours in now and on chapter 4 so I'm hoping to be done soon.
Been slacking on my Brain Training this month so I'll try and get that going again and find some time for Asphalt 9 and Link-a-Pix deluxe.
Re: Video: 11 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In April
Trials of Mana is the only one that appeals to me, but as I've yet to play the original in the Collection of Mana, I'll be leaving this one for now.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 4th)
Octopath Traveler. I've done most of the chapter 3 stories now and some of those boss battles are getting very challenging. It's fun trying to figure out a way passed their defences.
Also a little bit of Doom II and Asphalt 9.
Re: The Outer Worlds Gets A New Switch Release Date And A Day-One Patch
Glad we're getting a proper physical copy now.
My release schedule for the year is starting to look real busy.
Re: Taito Announces Free Update For Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, Adds More Stages And A Fan Favourite Enemy
My kids love this game. Great for family game time.
Re: UK Charts: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Sales Fall By 81% In Disappointing Week For Nintendo
That may be down to the game being out of stock in many places, and the fact that many who wanted the game bought it immediately at launch.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 28th)
@Rpg-lover yeah, I'll be sure to bring it up in the survey.
I'm all for challenging battles but lacking this feature is a bit of a nuisance.

Re: Image & Form Is Giving Away 1,000 SteamWorld Games To Give Back To The Community
I already have them all on Switch. Great games, great studio.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 21st)
@Benjoo either 7, which I started on PS3 but then Mass Effect 3 came out any I just never went back to it, or 9 which I've always wanted to play.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 21st)
@monterxz Warframe is such an underrated gem. I played it on PS4 and Switch, but it's such a time sink I decided to stop playing so that I could find time to play other games.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 21st)
@Benjoo just splurged on FF VII, VIII and IX. No idea when I'll find time to play them though with the state of my growing backlog.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 21st)
Octopath Traveler,
Asphalt 9,
Link-a-pix Deluxe,
My wife has Animal Crossing: New Horizons and as the school here has now closed is escaping to her island as often as possible.
Re: Round Up: All The Games From The Nintendo Indie World Showcase - March 2020

Re: Amazon Mexico Lists May Launch Date For Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
Damn, I think that roughly lines up with Trails of Cold Steel III.
