If you're wanting to get your hands on a physical edition of CrossCode, the retro-inspired 2D action RPG launching on Switch later this week, you're most certainly in luck. A number of different options are available to pre-order as we speak.
Three different editions are available in total - the Retail, Steelbook, and Collector's Editions - each coming with a physical copy of the game and a selection of extras. Here's what you can expect to find in each one:
The Retail edition is naturally the cheapest of the lot and can be purchased from Amazon.
Please note that some external links on this page are affiliate links, which means if you click them and make a purchase we may receive a small percentage of the sale. Please read our FTC Disclosure for more information.
The other releases are exclusive to Strictly Limited Games, with the Steelbook and Collector's Editions being priced at €39.99 and €59.99 respectively. You can pick those up here if you're interested.
If you're still on the fence, make sure to stay tuned for our full review or read up on our earlier coverage of the game here. Otherwise, make sure to let us know which option you go with in the comments.

I went for a Steelbook edition from Strictly Limited Games, they've had their partner store and the Crosscode pre-orders open for quite a while now.
I prefer digital over physical sadly, but this is most definitely a day-one but for me.
Now I’ll have to get the physical edition!
I did also find out they have a demo on Steam, so I’m definitely playing that before I decide on purchase.
Come on US preorders!
One click from me.
@geo-shifter Thanks for the heads up, I guess I've got a month to try it out and make up my mind.
I just wanna play that game. I don't mind in which edition....
I will definitely get Cross Code, but I tend to prefer digital for indies. Really excited about this coming to Switch, though!
@gcunit @geo-shifter -
I downloaded the full game on Xbox game pass for PC in case either of you have that?
Preordered on Amazon for Physical copy, can’t wait!
Ha ha another classic release from strictly limited that will be out at retail eight months before. definitely worth the wait for some other crap nobody ever looks at.
Looks interesting. Multiplay supported?
I pre-ordered mine on play-asia a while ago. Looks like a great game, reviews seem quite positive.
So will physical be EU only or NA as well? Since I'm so busy with games and backlog atm I wouldn't mind placing a physical order and waiting for it to come in.
Just such a shock these are the days when a MANUAL is a premium bonus item.
@Nejsayer I’ve no GamePass; the demo will most likely tell me enough.
Hey, does anyone know where I can get the standard retail edition? I've looked on Amazon to no avail, and the link in the post gives me an empty page (probably because I'm based in the Netherlands)
Already got it pre-order at Strictly Limited Games. Can't wait to play it soon.
@Fazermint
I found it listed on Amazon UK without issue.

It doesn't appear to be listed on Amazon US, as this appears to be a European distribution of the game.
If you order from Amazon UK or Strictly Limited, it'll ship from somewhere in Europe.
Ordering from Play-asia will mean having EU stock shipped from somewhere in Asia, and probably be much more costly. Play-asia is usually not where you want to order European copies of games.
@DockEllisD Thanks mate!
@geo-shifter Thanks for the heads-up. Tried the Steam demo and it's great, will buy this.
Really hoping it appears on Amazon Canada soon, I don't mind waiting, just want to lock it in.
won't ship to the states... garbage
I'm seriously pumped to play this one. Although now a bit worried after a couple of reviews mentioned the load times as a serious issue. Let's hope a day 1 patch takes care of that.
Stupid mother fathers! This is some bullsack!
Just seen the physical listed for sale. Does anyone know if this will include all patches and updates? I hate having a busted version on the cart that needs an immediate update.
