This month is going to be action-packed for Switch owners. If you're able to resist Catherine: Full Body early next week, you can instead jump into the brilliant retro-inspired 2D action-RPG CrossCode a few days later or the sequel to Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. If Bloodstained isn't enough, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is sure to creep you out.
A bit closer to the middle month sees the arrival of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town and on the 17th is Nintendo's latest release, Paper Mario: The Origami King. If you're still looking for something to play in the latter half of July, Skater XL might be worth a look (assuming it makes the Switch in time), or for any anime fans, there's Fairy Tail on 31st July.
Catherine: Full Body - July 7th
Superliminal - July 7th
CrossCode - July 9th
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 - July 10th
Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise - July 10th
The Great Perhaps - July 10th
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town - July 14th
Paper Mario: The Origami King - July 17th
Bounty Battle - July 23rd
Skater XL - Coming Soon (July 28th for PC, PS4, X1)
Locomotion - July 30th
Fairy Tail - July 31st

Not a bad month at all. FoMT and Deadly Premonition 2 are definitely buys, Curse of the Moon 2 looks great and CrossCode is a brilliant game that you shouldn’t sleep on.
Only Bloodstained 2, but I may even hold out on that for the inevitable physical version.
Bounty Battle is humorous to me cause I know one of those games have been canned.
He's going to be in a game about crossovers before he even became a game.
Extremely excited for Paper Mario. I’ve never played one and I think this is the perfect opportunity to get me used to them.
Superliminal looks interesting, I might pick it up if the price is decent, but I’ll probably wait for your guy’s review.
Origami King's preloaded, so...can't wait for that.
I'll get Curse of the Moon 2 later down the line.
I also have my eyes set on Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! and Megadimension Neptunia VII (the Neptunia game the Switch deserved, not the cruddy Super Neptunia RPG >_< )
Catherine, Paper Mario, and Curse of the Moon 2 add up to an awesome month, IMO.
Deadly Premonition 2 may or may not be good as well (depending on how well they recapture the "so bad it's good" flavor of the original).
Crosscode, curse of the moon 2, And paper Mario. Gotta finish some more games until then!
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town and Paper Mario: The Origami King are my choices.
But pardon me to keep busy in Animal Crossing New Horizons on this July 2020.
Love Crosscode, but I’m around 7 hrs in on my pc, so I’ll stick with it there. Paper Mario is already preinstalled
Crysis was what I was most excited for but apparently that's being postponed 😐
I’m waiting for the consensus on Paper Mario and if it’s not great I’ll be getting Luigi’s Mansion 3 instead.
Good month: Paper Mario, Catherine and Curse of the Moon 2 for sure. 👍
Might also check out DP2, Cross Code and Fairy Tail.
@Ralizah I think ‘so bad it’s good’ is quite hard to capture for a new release. The original is definitely better thought of now than when it first came out. I kinda have a soft spot for jank though, most of my favourite games are borderline broken, like the Elder Scrolls games, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, God Hand etc. I really hope people won’t spend money on DP2 without understanding what they’re getting themselves into, I imagine it might disappoint quite a few people who expected... well, a polished game!
I don't think Skater XL has a release date for the Switch yet. That date is for the other consoles

Paper Mario for me.
F1 2020 and Ghost of Tsushima Are “can’t miss” in July. Combined, those 3 games blow the budget in July. So that has to be it.
Fairy Tail is a Rental, so whenever GameFly ships it to me.
Out of those on that list...
Will get:
Interested in:
And today I will get the physical release of The Wonderful 101. Not to mention that my purchase of Trails of Cold Steel III spilled over to this month. Poor wallet!
Not that June was any better...
Got: Langrisser I & II, Wargroove, Rune Factory 4 Special, 51 Worldwide Games, and the BioShock and Borderlands collections.
Let's not forget May... 😅
Got: Xenoblade Chronicles DE, The Alliance Alive HD, Namco Museum Arcade Pac, and Dragon Quest Builders 2.
My wallet's been hurting for months!
@Agramonte Urgh, you reminded me about F1 2020 and Ghost of Tsushima and now I realise that there’s too many games this month for me to afford 😂😂
@nessisonett @Ralizah Yeah, I don't think DP2 will be on the same level as the first game, but one can hope. The first game is "so bad it's good" because it feels genuinely incompetent and at the same time intriguing. This time around they must be aware of why it became a cult classic and trying to capture that feeling again being aware of that must be difficult. It's as if Tommy Wiseau made The Room 2. It probably wouldn't be the same and just feel forced. Hope that's not the case here.
Cross Code. Superliminal. That is all!
Excited for Superliminal and Paper Mario.
Nothing for me this month unfortunately. Would've gotten Paper Mario if they hadn't ruined the series. Oh well, I'm still busy with Animal Crossing anyway!
Definitely in for Crosscode (though considering waiting for the physical) and will likely pick up Origami King as well (though will wait for reviews).
Kinda hoping that Alwa's Legacy and Baldo end up with July release dates as well.
Yeah nothing for me this month... Paper mario looked good but the puzzle style battles aren't for me. Maybe the Curse of the Moon but I still need to play the first one. Idk
Just Paper Mario for me.
Can't wait for Paper Mario, gonna be a fun July.
I have a pre-order on the physical copy of Crosscode, but that isn't out til late August.
@sketchturner I'm with you there.
I've never played it before so I was ready to give it a go 😑
All the other games are not of my interest so I will keep playing the games on my back catalogue.
This year, by far, has been the worst in terms of games.
Only bought Bioshock so far and was interested on Burnout Paradise until I saw the price.
Let's hope the second have of the year we will have some good surprises.
Catherine, DP2, and SkaterXL for me, for sure. I'm sure I'll get distracted by some indies as always too.
Paper Mario is a maybe for me. I want to like it but i'm also worried I won't. I'll wait for more info/first impressions. All I need is for battling to not be pointless and i'll be happy - don't care if that's exp or whatever, just make it actually be worth doing.
Then it's the long stare into the horizon of no more announced 'main IP' Nintendo games
Stoked to see Superliminal arriving!
Crosscode, bloodstained 2, paper Mario, and maybe Deadly Premonition 2.
Good month!
There's a few I'll probably eventually get. Paper Mario, Deadly Premonition 2, and Superliminal are on top of my watch- and/or wishlist. I'd love to get Catherine again as well, portable and expanded, but I can't justify it at that price, when I still have the PS3 collector's edition. Other than that, well, I'll keep doing what I'm doing with games: adding to the wishlist, removing from the wishlist, and getting the best sales or looking up reviews for games on massive sales. Sure, I miss out on a few games that way, but I discover so many more great games, and if they still disappoint, at least loosing a few euro's on them isn't as bad as losing €60 on a disappointment. Or spending €60 on a port I already have in some form.
And I have the great games from a while back to keep me busy in the meantime, currently replaying some 3DS games, and on the Switch mainly Duke Nukem 3D, Zombie Army Trilogy, Victor Vran, and a few others. Finally got Blood and Truth and Ghost Giant for PSVR as well, at much lower prices than they used to have. They're quite affordable, and still great games, even if they're not "new".
Catherine for me, maybe Paper Mario depending on how it’s received.
Fairy tale don't seem to get much love. I liked the comment that did mention it. From what i seen it could be fire emblem done better we will see though. Oh and i hope paper mario will be open world that will be amazing. Not much else to get excited about nintendo need to say about more games in the next couple of weeks.
Catherine then Deadly Premonitions and then Paper Mario. Going to be a crazy 10 days. Interested in the others, got to see some gameplay
Nice cheap month for me. Absolutely nothing. Was tempted by paper mario upon announcement but i dont like the look of the battle system. Should have just stuck to what everyone was asking for like in the n64 and cube version.
@nessisonett I've read that the Switch port of Cross Code is pretty poor, with frequent slowdown, audio glitches and sluggish menus. Which is disappointing to read as I'd been looking forward to it.
Fingers crossed The Origami King doesn’t turn out to be trash.... the Paper Mario Series really needs a win at this point. I’ve missed this franchise so much, and don’t want them to churn out another turd game with the Paper Mario name slapped on it.
Nothing for me.....luckily I’ve got stuff to play, (zombie army, pod racer, streets of rage) but 2020 has mostly been a year of releases which don’t appeal to me.
Okay. Last month went pretty quickly from a snorefest to WAY TOO MANY GAMES this month.
I want Deadly Premonition, Paper Mario, Catherine, and the Great Whatever game looks cool too.
It's fine; I think I can squeeze eviction into my schedule.
