Just in case it had slipped your mind, or in case you've been away from your island from a while, here's your friendly reminder that Animal Crossing: New Horizons's latest event is kicking off today.
Following on from the Museum Day stamp rally - and the May Day Tour and Nature Day events before that - we now have a whole new Wedding Season to enjoy. Starting from today, players can find alpaca lovers Reese and Cyrus on Harvey's island, helping them arrange and take anniversary photos inside a wedding-inspired studio.
The event was first revealed by Nintendo back in April alongside a number of other in-game treats, and will last for the entirety of June. You'll get some wedding-themed items for taking part.
If you want to get the most out of the event, make sure to check out our full Wedding Season guide right here. There are new seasonal items to be had today, too.
Are you still playing the game regularly? Will you be jumping in to meet Reese and Cyrus? Let us know with a comment below.

Have played the game every single day for the last 50 odd days so far.Was notified of this when I checked in earlier.Looking forward to this event.
The only important thing is the new bugs and fish.
Question.
With whom i get "married" if i play alone ?
Am i getting married with Animals ? 🤣🤣🤣
Trivia:
Do you know why June is chosen as Wedding Event ?
According to Roman myth, June month was named from Juno, Goddess of Marriage and Childbirth.
I think Nintendo choose June as Perfect month for Wedding Event based on Roman myth.
@Anti-Matter Explains why my auntie, friend and me are born in June then even stranger were only 1 day apart as well.
@Anti-Matter You can't get married yourself, just get and use marriage themed stuff, and play dollhouse with it in the exact same way as everything else.
@Marioracer I think there's a better explanation as you why you were born in June!!
I'll do this in a bit. But not that interesting really. But the shop now has more items and I'd love info about the new bugs and fish. Already caught a couple.
Are sharks finally in season in North America?
[edit] Northern Hemisphere*
@Heavyarms55 You mean northern hemisphere... there is more of the world then USA. And yes.
@Reaktor There's also more to North America than the USA.
And I was just typing too fast, I did mean northern hemisphere. It's what I get for not rereading my comment before hitting the post button.
@Anti-Matter Read the article again, the players can't get married themselves they can only assist an NPC marriage.
Edit: incomplete sentence.
My wife has played every day since release. I think she's roughly around the 410 hour mark. Never seen her so absorbed by a game.
@Heavyarms55 North America is in the northern hemisphere but your question is perfectly legit as written, nothing wrong with asking a question about your gameplay. Though if you're in Europe that would be a weird way to ask it. 😅
I didn't know sharks were in this game but my "large river" tank is empty, wouldn't mind a fish in there, those 5 stamp locations in front of it were kinda annoying.
@Octane "The only important thing is the new bugs and fish."
You too? I feel like this game is good for the first week every month then it just gets old. I'll be going to play in a minute, waiting for my tea to steep, it's my morning ritual.
Though today I'm also finally paying off my basement, about 5m in the bank, was waiting on my 250 bell interest payment, whatever worthless amount it is.
Really don't care about wedding photos - though it is my 20th anniversary later this year - but AC is a game for all types of gamers and there are probably a lot of people who will get a kick out of this.
@rjejr Yeah, I feel like I've hit that point where I don't feel like playing every day anymore.
@Reaktor cry about it dude. If he lives in the North America he can ask about North America
@rjejr same this game has no real replay value compared to the others. I started a city Folk town the same day I got New Horizons and I've been playing more city Folk. Btw I never played city Folk so nostalgia is not a factor
@rjejr I am pretty sure they are. They were in New Leaf anyway.
@h15c0r3r mine games from time to time, every now and then she just gets obsessed with a game. Last year she got hooked on Breath of the Wild to such an extent I bought her a Switch just so that I could have mine back.
@KoopaTheQuick Can't you use amiibo as guests?
@Heavyarms55 Caught a couple. Great white was my very first fish of the day. Whale shark was about the 8th. Saw a hamnerhead on Twitter.
@Octane I stopped buying turnips b/c I was checking twice a day for prices then playing an hour or 2 since I was there. I still play every day, but for an hour, not for 5. April weather was bad.
Started playing around midnight last night. Took a Nook ticket to an island and was catching sharks like gangbusters! 2.5 hours later I had every new sea fish including 8 Great Whites and many huge river fish—it was ridiculously fun!
wow. I really couldn't care less about this event
But what about Dodo Airlines now allowing you to send objects directly to your storage and buying stuff from you?
@PickledKong64,
I think you mean for you personally it has no replay value, but for others just like myself the game has lots to offer, and I have never been grabbed by the previous entries in the series, it's the visuals that are just so good, very important on a game like this, even more if you are decorating your island.
