For example, the first ever tweet made on Twitter was sold as a NFT. The buyer didn’t actually write that tweet, and in the long term people will only remember and value the creator of the first tweet, not whoever he sold the symbolic rights for it to.
@desrever No, Bidoof and even its evolution would still have too low stats to make any meaningful difference in PvP even with any of those extraordinary moves.
See this event as an opportunity to farm XP for level 50, while testing your luck for one or more shiny Bidoof for your collection.
I was also surprised that WarioWare DIY flopped. Bought it full price at launch and several months later I bought a 2nd copy for €5 in a bargain bin just for the sake of it.
Most complex thing I made with it was a tiny bullet hell shmup with semi-random patterns and tappable movement keys.
I didn't really use the music editor too much other than for tiny arrangements for microgames. But it's amazing what people made with it, just like with Mario Paint.
I got the EU version of this preordered together with Pokémon Shield. I admit I was doubting the purchase for quite a while but it was that D-Pad that sold me. It won't replace my launch Switch unit; that one will stay in the dock more often.
@Audiogore0733 With that I agree. Perhaps if not included within the physical game box, they could've made it a My Nintendo extra or something. My Nintendo could use some physical goods anyway.
@Audiogore0733 Because Nintendo wanted players to explore the map while playing. It's an adventure game where part of the magic is exploring things through curiosity by seeing points of interest in the distance.
They should rather apologize for not releasing this in The Netherlands and Belgium.
I mean, if lootbox regulations really are the problem, then why did they release Rumble Rush and Mario Kart Tour in all its lootbox glory. There's no excuse!
And I’d like to play it, but it’s not available in The Netherlands. Yet, their other mobile game, Pokémon Rumble Rush, is there in its full lootbox-glory.
I'd like to play it, but it's not available in The Netherlands and Belgium. And probably won't be, apparently due to legal reasons with lootboxes and such.
However, it's ironic that they did release Rumble Rush to these countries in their full lootbox glory..
I already got Jirachi from Dortmund but will happily take the extra candy, so that I can eventually max it out once there's nothing else to max out that has higher priority.
As for step 2. I believe that the text in the article should pronounce that step 1 actually gives you a guaranteed Feebas. And to get candy for it, aside from putting it as your buddy Pokémon you might be better off trying to obtain Rare Candy (from raids and research tasks) than to rely on events and rare spawns.
A Switch Mini makes totally sense for the release of Pokémon Sword & Shield. Those games are primarily made with handheld mode in mind and with the idea that people should easily bring their Switch along to battle and trade with friends.
These are hardly rumors anymore, they need a Switch Mini to properly sell Pokémon.
@olrodlegacy The raid system is actually what got me playing the game to this day. It was a bit of a social challenge for me to break the ice and find a local raid group, but the regular players now feel like friends and it's an experience I wouldn't have had without the raid system forcing me to.
Anyway, having some legendaries as rare spawns is ofcourse a welcome addition. It'll give those exciting moments of someone reporting a sighting and the next 30 minutes players will leave their work and run to said watery location.
Looks like a pretty traditional Pokémon game, probably using the tech that established the Let's GO games. Will get one of the 2 games, but can't decide which one yet. Will definitely use that fire bunny as my starter.
Mistaking Red or Chase for Ash is not cringeworthy at all.
Kids need little recognizable features of a character to make it stand out as something they know, otherwise all those different looking Santa's each year would've been unmasked pretty easily.
And besides, Ash and Garry were one of the default naming options in the original game.
I still play this game for a bit every day. But only allow myself to pay a microtransaction for it after every significant content update, and those updates are released in a faster pace nowadays. Niantic is doing a fine job!
It’s a game you can totally play for free. Even the in-game currency of Pokécoins can be obtained through gameplay (50 a day), something few mobile games do. So I don’t get the hate surrounding microtransactions.
Also, I’ve probably spent way more hours conciously playing Pokémon GO over the past 2 years than any other game I would’ve otherwise spent money on.
@Zach I know right? It’s been so long since Jazz Jackrabbit 2 came out, yet fans are still supporting the games with custom content and multiplayer tournaments to this day.
Fortnite sure is a great succes for Epic but those investors have to realize it’s probably temporary. You can see this by the frequency Epic is updating the game, they’re scared of the day interest rates drop and want to prolong it as far as possible.
Multi-accounting is pretty common amongst active players, the only ‘harm’ may be that you can take over gyms of your ‘own’ team. Yet you may also help your friends of the other teams. But selling assets and accounts has always been an awkward thing to do.
I suspect he’s banned for selling assets, which is rightly so.
It’s definitely a new Gen8 Pokémon that’s related to Ditto in an unknown manner. It was confirmed as a tease by Niantic and Pokémon Company.
It appeared for about 30 minutes in Pokémon GO today right after it’s Community Day event ended in your local time.
Catching it always made it turn into another Pokémon, mostly Ditto but Chikorita was confirmed too.
In some regions the spawns turned into Kecleon after some time passed, so maybe they’re some kind of synthetic Pokémon made by a Gen8 enemy team that combined Ditto’s unusual body with Kecleon’s adaptability??
@Giygas_95 Nintendo was interested in getting Undertale to the Wii U pretty soon after it became popular, but the dev (Toby Fox) responded to them that he’d love to but that the game was made in Game Maker Studio which doesn’t work on Wii U.
I vaguely recall the announcement for Undertale on Switch came just after Game Maker Studio announced Switch compatibility, hence why it was a soft-announcement that didn’t promise too much for a port that was yet to be made, because the tech wasn’t there yet.
@Ogbert But but... It's the age of extensive social media and whatnot. People will feel left out if they can't have a say in how things go with their fav game these days.
That said, community input isn't actually a bad thing, but has the risk of backfiring if the developer's final decision clashes with (poor) ideas part of the community wanted. Still, people going through those PDF's might learn about how complex and thoughtful designing a 'simple' menu screen can be.
Paying for Fortnite on Switch would kill off some profits for Epic Games, and in turn for Nintendo.
And besides, Fortnite is using Epic’s servers for everything besides the friends connector and importer so there isn’t a lot of overhead and costs for Nintendo here. While on games such as Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon 2, Nintendo is the one to pay for servers.
@TheFox Originally the controller was meant to mimic the one used in the Pokken arcade cabinet, so that players could use the control & feel they got used to at home.
However, I don’t think many players living outside Japan played the arcade version. So it’s mostly a novelty item now for fans of the game.
@Natzore Nothing for certain, but it’s expected that all forms of all Kanto Pokémon in GO will be transferable, including all hat Pika’s, Alolan forms, and shiny’s. So expect the sunglassed Squirtle to be.
@TheOpponent Even V-Bucks you (easely) obtained through the “Save The World” mode on any platform that includes it and isn’t PS4, will be usable on Switch to buy the pass. It’s pretty neat that my progress on PC helps to buy the pass even when I don’t play Battle Royale a lot.
So welcome to the future Switch, good luck in the past PS4.
@Grumblevolcano Yes, I totally expect the Let’s Go games to far exceed even total sales of Sun/Moon/USun/Umoon combined. The relaxing atmosphere set by Pokémon GO combined with main series elements will appeal a vast audience.
@retro_player_22 True. I emulated unofficially translated versions of those 2 games for hours way back when DBZ fever hit me. Would be nice to own them legitimately now. Especially since my understanding of Japanese is enough nowadays to properly play the originals.
If those 10 games really are all unannounced, then it could be huge indeed. Even if, like, 1 or 2 of them can be of Odyssey-proportions and 5 of them are ports it'd still be enough to put shareholders at ease.
My guess is that it's not about online play at all, they're concerned that Nintendo has no more AAA games to announce while the craze surrounding BoTW and Odyssey has dried up for the most part. Pokémon and Smash might not be enough to assure shareholders, but we'll see.
Along with actual GameCube stuff, I still have that Wii U GameCube adapter and the official Smash controller. Nintendo should just rebrand those for Switch.
@UmbreonsPapa Those are fair ideas I can agree on. As for battling mechanics, I’d personally like more changes and additions that can make former ‘weak’ Pokémon more usefull. Mega Evolution felt as one of the more significant and cool additions to me, but I’d say there’s still plenty of Pokémon that could’ve gotten the treatment before they moved on to Z-moves, which I barely used during my playthroughs of Moon and Ultra Sun.
Also, I’d like the next game to have an ultimate form of Unown that combines all different letters into a strong Psychic type. Maybe they can make that a collection quest, where you search them out in 28 places/anomalies or something.
@SmaggTheSmug So true! Megapixels became a marketing buzz term ever since smartphones were popularized. And while underlying software became 'smart' enough to let anybody shoot eye-popping pictures at close range, it'll never beat a more sizable lens and optical zooming.
The Gameboy Camera is, of course, more of an artistic thing now. It let's people see things at a different, somewhat weird perspective with those 4 shades of greyscale. Some more people have been doing it, such as this classic: http://dotmatrixberlin.blogspot.com

Wait, weren't there a few games on the NES that "bypassed" the limitation by bringing additional sound hardware wired on the cartridge itself?
Re: Konami Is 'Celebrating' Castlevania's 35th With An NFT Auction
NFTs are pure insanity.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #21 - Kirby's Return To Dream Land
I definitely don't prefer NA as the sword takes up about as much space as Kirby himself.
Then it's EU vs JP. They look alike, but JP doesn't have that purple bar and the Japanese logo looks more clean to me.
So JP it is!
Re: Random: Pokémon Sword and Shield's Final Boss Can Be Beaten With A Magikarp
@bones It can learn freakin' Hydro Pump now through the new one-time use TR's. Yeah, it's kind of ridiculous.
It still has a weak Sp.Atk stat though.
Re: Poll: Which Starter Pokémon Is The Best? Choose Your Favourite Fire-Type Starter
Fennekin for me. Since foxes are quite beautiful and Pokémon Y is what got me back into the series back when the 3DS was hot.

It's probably for the best this isn't released again, I guess.
They'd better keep promoting the excellent BoTW to all those new Christmas customers who're getting a Switch.
Re: Rumour: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Is Taking To The Skies On Switch
Not for me. This'd be a step backwards from BoTW, the game that got me interested to play a Zelda game after Ocarina of Time (3D).
Then I'd rather start a play through of the hard mode in BoTW sometime.
