I was torn between Wii and GB Micro. Wii is definitely the best looking home console ever, by a long way, but GB Micro got it.

I'm often tempted by special hardware like this, but I usually get Nintendo consoles day one or shortly after, so actually buying one isn't a good idea.

But damn, I really want that one!!!

@Tandy255 Indeed. They're just outside impulse buy range and the games I want are never discounted, so I don't have many of them.

I do a 2.6 mile walk most days of the week during my work lunch break. It takes me 40 minutes, so that's an average speed of 3.9mph.

When the weather was good I bought a skipping rope for the days I didn't have time for the walk, so now it's winter I'm substituting that with Fitness Boxing.

I drifted away from Ring Fit Adventure. I couldn't get the leg strap to stay in place and it's a bit too gamified for me. However, I just did a couple of songs on the first Fitness Boxing for the first time in ages and I'm still quite impressed with it. Good for a rainy day when I can't go for a walk.

Once again, Wii version remake please.

I'd like to see how this thing works.

I downloaded Blades but haven't played it yet. Might delete it now.

A competitor's service on Switch? Nah.

I'd love it to succeed and be a fourth console, but no. Just no. I will not build my hopes up.

As a racing game fan I find it slightly worrying for so many cherished games to be controlled by one company.

Cyberpunk on PC. Switch probably won't get a look in.

Why wasn't this ready for XboneSX/S launch?

I think he's correct. If you consider systems like Genesis/SNES/PS/Xbox to appeal to adults then the look and feel of Nintendo hardware from Gamecube up to Wii U is generally neutral, leaning slightly towards the younger end of the market if you take different colours into consideration. That stopped with the Switch but came back if you take into account certain colourways of the Switch Lite.

And isn't it a fact that Nintendo switched to their "blue ocean" strategy around the time of the Gamecube/Wii? I seem to remember they experimented with Donkey Konga to gauge whether people would play games with an unusual controller or not; then we got the Wii because it was successful.

Strange one. At times it looks really close but at others the Switch version looks a lot different.

For some reason I find the menu system in this game an absolute nightmare.

I'm not sure what they can do with it. A track editor would help, but the game itself still has to be good. And everything that can be done in a racing game has been done by now. Having said that, I would never have imagined Mario Kart Live in a million years, so maybe they will surprise us.

Resolution isn't much of a concern because the screen size is appropriate for it.

More concerning is the GPU and what this new Xe can do compared to their other integrated GPUs. Hopefully more than PS3 graphics.

@LunarFlame17 Indeed. One feature I remember being mentioned was the ability to play on the gamepad screen when the TV is in use by someone else. In the old days when I was a kid and families maybe only had one TV this would have been a winner, but not now.

Thinking about my Wii U ownership, I got the ZombiU package and I still haven't played the game!

@DrDaisy Hilarious. The guys are all facing forwards but the woman in the thong is turned around! I'd like to say times have changed but they really haven't.

Still set up and ready for use. Great console despite it's retail performance. I mean, the controller has a screen which shows the gameplay from a good distance away from the console!! It's crazy, even now in 2020!!!

I find it a bit sad that POSSIBLY all we're going to get from Nintendo for a while is the Switch concept. There's nothing better than watching the reveal of a new Nintendo console and being amazed.

I don't have many of these games but I really enjoy them. Most recently I got The Ninja Saviours, which I found a bit hard!

I loved Secret Rings. Dunno why, but there was something about it.

Anyway, for me a Sonic game should be an on-rails 3D runner with different routes like Out Run and a more robust lock-on system than the recent games have had. It's really annoying for an enemy not to be locked and then to fall into a pit or something.

Always wanted this but for some reason I never got it on any format. This is the cheapest I've seen it for, so it's time to buy.

3D, easily. An old timer like me finds it difficult to use his imagination, so an extra dimension to help me out is most welcome. Plus I think it allows for more complicated puzzles.

@nessisonett Snap! My gut says the Xbox Series X is technically the better console. Don't know why, it just does.

And Sony exclusives are up there with Nintendo's in terms of their quality and my need to have them.

Usually, things like Minecraft, Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing.

8/12 and I've barely played only the first game and Hey Pikmin.

Its specifications left a lot of headroom for an upgrade, so it's a shame they stopped it.

Got it on 3DS. Fantastic game.

Ended up going for a Game & Watch. Not expecting to get it as I'm pre-ordering pretty long after the announcement, but we'll see.

Racing games are my thing, so I'll at least follow this one. Would need a review first though. However, it has some tough competition for my cash with Hot Shots Racing on sale at the moment.

One thing I do like about it is the presentation, with the explosions and tyres rolling around everywhere. And the rock music. Reminds me of the PC game Crashday. Doesn't take itself too seriously but is a good, solid game.

@AnnoyingFrenzy Same here. I've tried it a few times but I can't get into it. The one I had most fun with is Hey Pikmin.

@COVIDberry Not an on purpose suggestive post! And by volume it may be similar to the Xbox. Hopefully it's just a different approach and the shape is not required for cooling.

I've got a bad feeling about how big it is, especially compared to the XBSX.

@HalBailman To me it's similar, only they're being launched together this time. But Series S doesn't have an optical drive, so it's probably not a direct comparison.

However, it will be very interesting to see how it works out. Series S is still a huge upgrade over the original Xbox One and Xbox One S, so maybe the cheaper price will sway people towards it. It will also be very interesting to see how much value is put in physical games this time around.
