Re: Review: Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)

One thing I'm finding annoying is the party guage. It hardly ever activated a chain during regular fights but as soon as a bigger enemy comes along, it fills up rapidly. Very few other complaints about the game though.

The English voices aren't great but I think it's because of the usual thing that makes game voice acting suffer. The lines sound like they're read with no regard for what's been said before, so they just sound like individual statements rather than a flowing dialogue. A bit like the commentary in old FIFA and PES games e.g "Beckam... pases to... Ferdinand... Lines up a shot... Goal."

Re: Sony: Wii U is No Threat, Says "Welcome to 2006, Nintendo"

But look at it this way: Nintendo shakes things up with the Wii and both Microsoft and Sony can't get similar devices out fast enough. Now not long after both devices have been out, Nintendo yet again do something different which the compititors might have to copy. Sony could get away with using Vita as a similar controller to Wii U's, but what could Microsoft do?

I find it quite odd that games released in Europe with many languages can't get a US release. Also, when games are released in the US, it's equally odd that they're not released in the UK and Australia at least, where English is spoken.

Re: Wii U Won't Support Blu-ray or DVD Playback

@7 With the controller having a screen it would be nice if a DVD could be streamed to it the same way as a game. But I have six DVD playing devices and a ps3 for blu ray, so the disappointment over this is becoming increasingly invalid. If you want a DVD player you can get one for £20. Blu ray players are down to about £60 now.

How many more things do we want these devices to do? I just want a games machine.
