I bought Balan Wonderworld. My biggest problem with it is that I have no idea what's going on. Even after watching the opening cinematic I have no clue what the point is. It seems to be a case of finding the statues in each level using the costumes to do so.
The game itself is a little rough but nothing absolutely terrible to me. It's just a quite basic kid's game, really.
I depends if there's any performance update. If it's just the same Switch with a bigger screen and ethernet in the dock then I'd say it will get a minor revision in name, like Switch Plus.
If it's more powerful I'll go with New Switch, to avoid any confusion over what it is in somparison to the old one. As for Switch Pro, it's what the rumours have been calling it, so I don't think they'll use it really.
I hadn't heard of this game until all this fuss, which is a shame because I love the theatrical/ringmaster aesthetic that's reminiscant of NiGHTS. When the price is right I think I'll get it.
Something isn't right with this rumour. My TV is an ancient Panasonic plasma. It's 1024x768 but it accepts a 1080p signal (a real selling point in 2008). I wouldn't benefit from 4K upscaling. So people without a 4K TV won't buy it. Then people who have a 4K TV which happens to have great upscaling may not notice a difference. So they will be pretty annoyed. So the only ones to benefit are people with 4K TVs that don't upscale well. Nintendo wants everyone's money, not some people's money.
What would make more sense is another feature on top of 4K upscaling. I remember those HDMI cables called mCable which add antialiasing. If a new dock had something similar to that but better because it's a dock which has more room for more powerful hardware, more people would benefit. Maybe Nintendo has worked on this technology of their own, maybe they would license it from mCable. Maybe they could work together on something just for the Switch???
Even so, I would say a lot of people don't care about antialiasing either, so that is still not what it is
Let's say a new game is made from an established series, why not have an edition that includes some of the previous games? Like if there is another remaster of OoT, pack in at least the original, possible all the prior games.
It's versatile. Three triggers, good dpad, precise control stick and six face buttons and an expansion port. I forget which game let you use one in each hand. Maybe Goldeneye. Great controller.
The only problem was the control stick went loose after a while.
While I of course love a sale, browsing through a list of 800+ games on the Switch eShop is a painful experience. It is so slooooooowwww! Another 190 games isn't going to help
@Nakego I suppose it's down to how interested you are. I've been playing Harvest Moon games since the Gamecube, so I at least read any news about the new games over the years and that's how i found out about the split.
After reading the reviews for the recent SoS and HM games (and playing HM) it seems like quality is dropping there at least, which is a shame because the first Story of Seasons on 3DS is the pinnacle of farming games for me.
I've got Stardew Valley and my playtime is 5 hours, last played Feb 19 2020. So, it didn't hook me for some reason. I will start it again to see if it clicks.
The most recent game I sunk a decent amount of time into was Harvest Moon Light of Hope. I didn't mind that one at all.
I'm only a few hours into it but 3 is probably about right. It's just really lazily done. The icon for Doc is clearly from the previous game, but the in-game character looks completely different. And the graphics lack polish. Everything is really stark and there's no effort made to make the world look convincing. Then there's the GUI. The cursor is on an absolute hair trigger.
But I like farming games and I've got all the Harvest Moon games since the split despite preferring Story of Seasons.
Nothing for me this week. I impulse-bought Mario 3D Land + Bowser's Fury this week, forgetting about Harvest moon. Had I realised Harvest moon was out tomorrow I would have got that instead. I blame the pre-order for Story of Seasons getting me confused and thinking I was sorted for farming games this month.
It's gotta be the standard charcoal model. Mostly because it's the one I had. Obviously, it has the same features as all N64s except the Pikachu model, but the charcoal colour highlights them better.
No big problems on PC for me. All I've seen is a bouncer that didn't animate when he let me in a club, a person driving an invisible car and a food carton floating 20 feet in the air. Been playing for 25 hours so far.

Not stable enough.

@Arkantos2990 Thanks. It's only £5 on Kindle. I might get it.
Re: You Can't Purchase Ultra Street Fighter II From The US eShop Right Now
This should've had a discount after the 30th anniversary collection was released.

Re: 'Sonic Collection' Listings Spotted As The Blue Blur's 30th Anniversary Looms
It needs something pretty special to stand out from previous collections and all the other games that have been available individually for years.
Re: Where To Pre-Order The Zelda: Skyward Sword Zelda Loftwing amiibo
I almost got this but common sense prevailed and I'm actually looking forward to taking in the scenery instead of using fast travel.

Re: How Do You Feel About Mario After His 35th Anniversary? Nintendo Apparently Wants To Know
I'm not a Mario fan but each series has some amazing games.
Mario Bros 3, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Golf (GBC) are the best.
Re: Talking Point: Wii Features We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch
They should just make the Wii again. Same chassis but with modern internals.
Re: This Christmas, We're Getting A NES-Like Console That Plays Physical Carts
Fantastic! I'm glad I didn't get the handheld now. Reviews about really tight cartridge slots put me off.

Re: Talking Point: Is The New Switch Lite Blue, Or Purple?
Technically, I think it's actually violet. But as that wasn't a choice I had to choose purple, because it just isn't blue or indigo to me!
Re: Nintendo Unveils A New Blue Switch Lite Console
Tempting. Is it possible to use a regular Switch and a Switch Lite with the same account? I've always fancied another for eShop downloads.

Fantastic game. Please let this be true! And while they're at it they can do Secret Rings
Re: Rumour: Evidence Of A "New" Nintendo Switch Dock Supposedly Datamined In System Update 12.0.0
@SwitchForce Literally nothing I said puts 2K gaming down. I didn't even use the word 2K. Why would I do that when I said I have a TV that is 2K?!
