To the surprise of no one, really. Despite all the issues, Pokemon on name brand alone tends to sell well. Even their underperforming titles, still sold gangbusters.
It always annoyed me how spread out these games are on consoles. Sure, you can play the entire series on PC but not everyone is going to do that.
How the Sky Trilogy has not been ported to something else yet to me is baffling. Especially given how unlike other franchises Trails really benefits from experiencing older titles.
I would say wait for sale, but I don't know. With Nintendo and the way their games are priced? I won't be surprised if I have to wait a long time for it to even be half off.
@AstroTheGamosian I'm surprised how well mine has held up. Sure, it has a few scratches but the only problem I've really had is Joycon drift like many people.
I sent mine to Nintendo though and they fixed it. Zelda is one of my fav franchises, alongside Metroid and Fire Emblem so the only one I was tempted by was the TOTK OLED.
I feel like considering I haven't bought a new Switch since I buy the original one in 2017 I should just wait for whatever the next console is at this point.
@AndyMcDonald I simply do not think Gamefreak is capable enough of delivering a full focused 3D Pokemon game on the level of a Xenoblade Chronicles or something.
From what I have seen from the latest entries anyway.
I really honestly do not remember much about X and Y. I found them to be simply okay. It being in 3D was neat, but I don't know.
I feel like Pokemon has struggled generally speaking in terms of its mainline games to look really appealing in 3D compared to the 2D sprites. Some things didn't quite make the transition or look a bit odd.
Wonder and Sonic for sure. I already have the MGS collection on PS3 and the whole thing isn't even on the cartridge if I wanted a portable version. Bummer.
Wargrooves 2 is a maybe I didn't play the first one though.
I don't know. I got Scarlet as a gift, but I am awaiting to see if they do a DLC bundle like with Sword and Shield. I wasn't super crazy about Sword and Shield, but maybe Scarlet/Violet is better.
I would want their to be a new Rayman game, but considering how Ubisoft has been doing lately I don't know that I do want a new Rayman game from modern Ubisoft honestly.
I really can't be bothered to really buy a new switch at this point? Especially with the new console being so soon. I mean I waited this long, I might as well wait a bit longer.
The launch Switch I have has been kicking it since 2017
I feel like Sega has Nintendo beat for wasted potential in regards to their legacy franchises.
Its not fair that stuff like Golden Ax, Shinobi and Virtua Cop are left in the dirt. Yet Sega seems insistent on only giving us Genesis compilations over and over again ignoring the Saturn and Dreamcast.
I feel for a franchise like Avatar, really feels like it deserves better. It is probably up there with Danny Phantom for series' that probably won't get super high quality video games.

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Puzzle Platformers
I very surprised by Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, I'm secretly sort of hoping that they make a sequel to that.

Re: New Limited-Time Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Distribution Now Available
I went into this game after the bloodbath with the bugs, glitches etc, and I surprisingly enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Re: One Piece Odyssey Is Finally Sailing To Nintendo Switch
This game was just okay. I don't know, anime games are very hit or miss with their quality these days.

Re: Random: Sakurai Endorses Powerwash Simulator And Other 'Work' Games
I love Powerwash Simulator! I wish the Switch release actually had a physical game cart though.
I mean the fact that its a download is just crap. I'll continue playing it on other platforms in the meantime.
Re: The Stanley Parable Is Finally Getting A Physical Release On Switch
I am surprised this wasn't a thing already, but glad it is now.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Princess Peach: Showtime! For Switch?

Re: Where To Buy Nintendo Switch OLED Model - Best Deals And Cheapest Prices
I know its a long shot maybe, but I am sort of maybe hoping for a discount on the OLED when the next console is unveiled. Would love to get a deal.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Announced, Coming To Switch In 2025
Arceus was a lot of fun, I hope this is too.
Re: Feature: Game Of The Year 2023 - Nintendo Life Staff Awards
Not many people played Paranormasight and Square giving it basically no advertising didn't help either.
That game deserves the world and more.
Re: Soapbox: Ocarina Of Time's Water Temple Was Tough, But It Doesn't Deserve Its Reputation
I didn't find it that bad, but I played the 3DS version. Maybe the original was 50x harder or something.
Re: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 To Fix A "Number Of Issues" Post-Launch
@Needham90 That's an F.
Re: Valve Announces Steam Deck OLED, Says Switch OLED Paved The Way
@BobaTheFett Wonder how much that one will be.
Re: Valve Announces Steam Deck OLED, Says Switch OLED Paved The Way
I don't need one since I'm pretty content with my LCD Steam Deck, but its nice enough I guess.
I was far more interested in the next Steam Deck, Steam Deck 2 or whatever they may call it.
Re: Super Mario RPG Switch Is Getting A Physical SNES Style Instruction Manual
I would not be surprised if this ends up Japan only.

Re: Review: Star Ocean: The Second Story R - One Of The Very Best RPGs Of The Year
I dunno if I want to get this on PS5 or Switch. All my other Star Ocean games are on PlayStation so I might just do that.
Re: New Switch OLED Bundle Reportedly Launching Next Month
@luckyseven Mario is a very underrated franchise. They should make more Mario games.
Re: New Switch OLED Bundle Reportedly Launching Next Month
Mario Kart 8, truly the most underrated Switch title.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy Physical & Digital Switch Release Will Require 8GB "Day 1" Update
I'm getting sick of this happening on Switch, but this game is shafted on other platforms too.
At least on PS5, the disc doesn't even have all the data. You have to download the rest as well.
Re: Xbox Developer Open To A Switch Release Of Pentiment
If we get rare replay I sure hope every game is on cart and not half of them being download codes, but maybe that's being optimistic.
Re: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 To Fix A "Number Of Issues" Post-Launch
Its a shame that:
A. Not all games are on the cartridge, which sucks. Similarly to some other collections on Switch.
B. MGS 2 and 3 won't be 60 fps. I mean these are decade old games, it sucks that this is the only platform they won't be 60 on.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Super Mario Bros. Wonder?
I would say I want to wait for a discount, but how much will this game actually be discounted and how long would that take.
I usually wait to buy all my stuff on sale unless its a collector's edition or something
Re: Atlus Reveals Persona 5 Tactica's Replay Features, New Game+, Quests And More
Will be picking this up on a sale, but seems perfect for the Switch. Doesn't look super demanding so should run well too.

Re: Amazon Big Deal Days: Best Deals On Nintendo Switch Consoles, Games, eShop Credit, SD Cards And More
There was a GameStop clearance sale goin on and that was pretty good if you could find stock in your area.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy A Digital-Only 'Switch 2'?
No, not really.
Re: Video: 20 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In October 2023
Wonder and Sonic for sure. I already have the MGS collection on PS3 and the whole thing isn't even on the cartridge if I wanted a portable version. Bummer.

Re: Soapbox: 'Switch 2' Doesn't Really Need Backwards Compatibility
This is an L take. I don't think I need to even say why, there's so many reasons.
Re: Feature: "We Wouldn’t Give The Silent Hill IP To A Team Like Yours" - Dementium: The Ward's Origins And Switch Return
@roboshort I have vaporized such thoughts from my memory.
Re: Feature: "We Wouldn’t Give The Silent Hill IP To A Team Like Yours" - Dementium: The Ward's Origins And Switch Return
As if Konami can say anything considering until recently they've done nothing with the IP.
And then giving the SH2 remake to Bloober team. Come on, man.
Re: Review: Wargroove 2 - A Must-Play Tactical RPG And A Worthy Successor To Advance Wars

Re: Gotham Knights Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch
To be honest I had forgot this game had come out.
Re: Stunning RTS Adventure '13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim' Continues To Be A Sales Hit For Vanillaware
I would love to get a few of their other games that were not translated like Princess Crown, but not exactly holding my breath.

I appreciate the physical, but I just wish they would release it at the same time as the digital ver.
