Implosion launches on the Switch eShop later today (update: it appears to be available for download in Europe already!) for £10.79 / €11.99 / $11.99USD and looks like a must-have for fans of the hack and slash genre, with it's futuristic sci-fi look it's really grabbed our attention. The game has only been out for a few hours in Japan and it's hit the top sellers list in the eShop already, so it seems to be very popular with Japanese Switch gamers.
To celebrate the release day the publisher Flyhigh Works put together a new trailer which you can see above which shows more actual gameplay within Implosion.
Be sure to check it out and let us know if you'll be picking up Implosion later today with a comment below.

It looks decent.
Already available to download this on the UK eShop as of this morning. I'm waiting to see if any reviews turn up today before taking the plunge. Looks pretty great though and the only game of its kind currently on the Switch.
Alriiight, so it's actually a third person game. Doesn't look half bad!
Again I want to buy as looks interesting but trying to hold off until reviews pour in.
At last some gameplay, looks pretty good to say it was originally a mobile game, but will wait for review before making up my mind
It was on the the eShop already earlier this morning, and I immediately purchased it, but it didn't finish downloading before I had to catch the train... Will have to wait until after work. It's 3.1GB btw, with my connection this was just too much to finish during breakfast.
EDIT: at only € 12.00 it was really a no-brainer for me, considering the production values and good reviews for other systems...
Looks great! So many awesome games are out now. No brainer here.
Still no mention for any co op mode?
Looks promising. Waiting for reviews.
Sincr reading the title, all I can think of is: Susano-Style Exploding Implosion
Regardless, it appears promising
I believe this week and next week we're getting 12 eShop games, I'm buying 3.
Not sure what to think about this one.My gut feeling is it won't be very good, hopefully I'm wrong.I'll be buying that Flip game tonight and I think Bulboy is out as well? That's had some cracking reviews on Steam.
I might buy it depending on what the icon looks like.
@Jack_Goetz I hope that is satire. If so, well played, if not then oh dear.
Bruh. Those voice actors. I like them a lot.
@Kiz3000 I should have included a wink.
Now I'm really seeing the appeal! That trailer cleared up a lot of questions!!!
Looks fun! I'll wait for a review.
I picked up implosion, shephy this morning! Implosion is really good! Graphics look good and having proper controls is huge deal over touch controls from phone version. There one mech unlocked at beginning and one locked plus wealth upgrades and point system that unlocks badges and costumes. Really like anime style cutscenes and intro is awesome loving it so far. Shephy is card game and quite interesting one happy with my purchases.
@Jack_Goetz Lol, nice!
Honestly this looks like a fun game to just have right there on your Switch while on the go. Definitely considering picking this one up!
revengeance lite? i'll take it because it remidns me of a game that was made by the guys who made bayonetta.
Hack 'n' Slash? Voice acting? Awesome music? Sci-fi space setting? Count me in!
@Jack_Goetz You might already be aware but the Implosion icon is a picture of the main character's face, front on, and no name of the game in the icon. No white border though so only half way to being a phone game icon.
I can assume you will not be getting it now
Oh and the Shephy icon is gorgeous, well worth the £4.99. No idea if the game is any good but what does it matter with such a sexy icon
That's a rather excessive amount of blood. It probably wasn't that far off from getting an M rating. It did manage a T rating though, and it looks really good, so I'm optimistic about this one.
Speaking of which, could we please get the game ratings added to the game pages? I shouldn't have to search for it on Nintendo's official website just to find out the rating.
Can we get a review? I always worry with games that price that it's not going to be long. Once you're getting into it, it finishes.
No thanks
@Kiz3000 Thank you for your in depth icon analysis.
Shephy is now on my 'must buy' list. I'll wait for a review on Implosion though, as I can always delete the game to the hide mobile app-like icon from my tidy Switch menu.
@Samwise7 No worries of that here samwise. According to HLTB the game is a good 9.5 hours long with 20 hous for completionists. Quite a decent pound to hour ratio.
At about 10 hours it is not a bad deal. Reviews have indicated the controls with Joy-Cons and Pro Controller have been incorporated greatly on the Switch. Sounds like another winner!
@bert0503 implosion work's great on switch! Loving massive boss encounters and lots of upgrades to buy, unlock as well as edition mech - achievement badges which unlock thing like upgrades, costume and weapons etc.. really impressed with title. Shephy is unique card game my only gripe with it is its repetitive music.
@Tate24 Yeah, I downloaded Implosion. I could not pass such a great game considering I love a good hack and slash game. Shephy looks interesting but Bulb Boy has that fun and dark art style. I am a big fan of Telltale games so it might be a good game for me as well.
