Strongly disagree with the review ,this game is excellent and better than a 8 out of 10 . Both are completely fantastic titles and Nintendo made a very wise decision when getting this series as a Nintendo exclusive now, Im ecstatic that 3 is on the way.

Just downloaded this on my Nintendo Switch but now this makes me wish I would have waited for 3DS version this title will look amazing in stereoscopic 3D , non the less great game and if you've not played it yet I highly recommend it and great to see the 3DS getting some more good games added to its already spectacular line of titles .

I need those in my life .

@Captain_Toad pixel games are and can be amazing when done right, titles like this game look incredible on the 3DS in stereoscopic 3D .

I will definitely be picking a copy of this up when the physical version gets released can't wait .

Day One I can't wait to get my hands on this and I never got to play the 3DS version so I'm hyped.

I love this title so much more than I anticipated I would, such a really great game.

I would have waited if I had known or thought that there would be a physical version as I much prefer physical versions over downloading games and I really dont understand why downloads costs the same as physical I think you should be given a discount if you download a game your not getting a case or sleeve or even a manual all which are added in the cost of making a physical version I think we are crazy for paying full price for a download if there is a physical version., That said Steamworld 2 physical should add Steamworld 1 on same game card that would be awesome and an instant buy.

I got Pokken Tournament DX as my go to fighting title on my Nintendo Switch and so so glad I did cause Pokken Tournament DX simply ROCKS and I have been playing it daily might try this one someday if they fix issues and add more content, maybe.

I still love my 3DS I would love it if Nintendo continues to support it, I would even love to see it get a proper upgraded version Im one of the ones that loves the stereoscopic 3D effect.

I wonder if the Minions will show up , that would be awesome , LoL. Joking aside I think its very possible to get a great animated Mario film made I would love to see a Zelda feature film though or even a Metroid film live action sci fi would be awesome if done right .

Add some online leaderboards, I'm in looks fun and the graphics along with the concept and art style put a smile on my face .

Ive sort of lost my interest in MH , to many rehashes of the same old thing over and over though I will say the Nintendo Switch is a perfect platform for a Monster Hunter game Capcom has to realize this especially in Japan. But as for MH world missing the Switch I dont care there are so many amazing titles on and headed to the Nintendo Switch Im to busy to notice a MH game not showing up .

Yes and yes and yes this looks amazing, I never got around to getting the 3DS game which had some exclusive content as did Wii U version, this game will have soooo much content which is fantastic as its such a great title cant wait.

It is Bayonetta on my Nintendo Switch that is all I needed to double dip. Portable versions of Bayonetta 1 and 2 I might add . I simply cannot wait to see more of Bayonetta 3 and its a Nintendo Switch exclusive as well this is reason enough to buy a Nintendo Switch.

Its got online leaderboards and for me thats a must for these types of titles, gotta have that replayability now if it's priced decently may have to give this a go Ive not got any runner type games on my Switch yet , this looks like it could be fun till Runner 3 gets here .

Im still waitng on Treasurenauts was really looking forward to that title on the new 3DS XL which I hope it still gets a release on the 3DS.

Awesome these are great games it would be nice to have them in HD and portable, though it would be awesome to have them on the 3DS in stereoscopic 3D games like these just pop in 3D and it would be AMAZING if Nintendo would release the art style titles on the Switch e-shop as well or the 3DS e-shop and add online leaderboards for replayability there were some gems in that Art Style series that would be perfect for portable play.

If this had online leaderboards I would pick up instantly, I only really like games like this if you can high score chase on a global leaderboard .

It would be awesome if Image and Form would update and release their Steamworld tower defense title from the Nintendo Dsi eshop on the Switch.

Out of some truly spectacular titles Nintendo has hit HOME RUN after HOME RUN this year , what a year to be a Nintendo fan from the list above I chose Super Mario Oddessy which I think is sheer brilliance but I can say it was not an easy choice there are atleast 5 other titles on that list that easily deserve to be called game of the year.

@Ttimer5 , I switched to android this year also I traded in my iphone for the Samsung note 8 and personally I am so glad I did the Note 8 is an amazing phone also Ive read apple is getting their new phone screens from Samsung which in my opinion Samsung have the best screens they are definitely made better and stronger than apples for me the main reason I switched to android , you hands down have more freedom and I needed a phone that offered removable memory (an SD card) live messenger is an awesome feature on the Note 8 as well and the huge screen is perfect .

If you have a 3DS and like METROID , then get this game you wont be disappointed its great .

@Cosats I have to agree with you on people really should quit getting sucked into sites like Digital Foundry, they try to make people think if a game is not 5k ultra 90 fps then it must be an unplayable mess . Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an amazing game to play and look at and its really amazing a title like this is on a portable device loooking amd playing as brilliantly as it does, I highly recommend it. Nintendo Switch really has just had the best first year line up for a new system in history and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was the icing on cake.

Thank you @insane_code for the clarification on the 3D effect being added , So its a day one purchase for me. 2D titles such as this look incredible on the 3DS in stereoscopic 3D, I love my Switch but it doesn't have stereoscopic 3D so my 3DS still gets plenty of play the 3DS is still my alltime favorite system and the Switch has a long way to go to claim that title though it is making strides with the incredible games its been getting . ANYWAY looking forward to the game and thanks for adding 3D.

For me Mario has way more replayability after you finish the main game.

I would like to see the Lego games shake up the formula for me anymore they are just the same ole same old song and dance in a word completely repetitive.

I cant help but wonder what those Switch sales numbers would be if Nintendo was releasing a new Pokemon title on Switch.

I agree the Switch is the best gadget of 2017 especially if you are a gaming fan . I preordered the system and picked mine up on launch day and I can honestly say I started to drop my preorder a couple of times, now looking back I am so glad I didnt the Switch is a brilliant system with a ton of hidden potential and the games this far have been nothing short of stellar. What we have could easily end up being Nintendo's greatest system to date .

As these seem to be the last mainline titles coming to my beloved new 3DS XL I plan on getting Moon at some point between now and Christmas. After reading the review which I expected the games to be a great time but I didnt expect the 10 of 10 which is great news .

Awesome news next we need YouTube, Netflix and a Browser Please Nintendo make it happen before Christmas.

For me it sounds and looks like a dud and with no 3D its a no sale anyway I love the 3D effect its the main reason I own a 3DS.

I picked up my preorder at a midnight launch and did not quit playing for the next five days, I even took a day off from work to play and relax and be immersed in this game to me it is utterly SPECTACULAR.., if you in any way like Mario games you need to play this game, it is that fantastical. I am 42 years old and a lifelong Nintendo / Mario fan and to me this is the apex of a Mario title it has something from every type of Mario title thrown in and is better because of it and YES THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST EVER MARIO TITLE .. Nintendo has something truly special on its hands and Super Mario Oddessy deserves all the attention and success that comes its way . Ive forced myself to not play the game for two days now and its all Ive thought about as well as that Jump up Superstar theme song that is now stuck in my head., Thanks Nintendo .

FINALLY , I have been waiting for this game great to hear it is finally on its way .
