They added a scar, doesn't that make him unique and charismatic? 😂

@AverageGamer

Sean Connery was fairly young during his first James Bond-movies, he just had that old face since his mid-20s. I don't think they had to make Bond look like a school boy to have him "young and fresh"

I think there's a value in keeping exclusive IP:s to the IP-holders platforms. Otherwise, the Nintendo-magic would just weather away in the same way as Sega, Playstation and Xbox. Sure, Nintendo should do more with more of their less mainstream IP:s, but they should be very careful with letting them go to other platforms, PC included.

Re: Switch 2 Has Sold "More Than 6 Million" Units, And Almost As Many Copies Of Mario Kart World

@topsekret

You have to understand, third party publishers are Nintendos partners, if they come with feedback to Nintendo that they, for example, wants a cheaper option to publish their games on Switch/Switch 2, Nintendo is bound to give them such an option as it would be harmful for Nintendo if they started to skip Switch 2-releases because it's too low margins to publish a physical release. Nintendo hasen't forced the key card situation, the alternative would be download codes as with Switch 1.

@Not_Soos

I havent noticed any such sound. Maybe you got a less than perfect controller? I'd try exchanging it if I were you. I had the right joy-con 2 faulty, with ZR-button not clicky and hard to register inputs. I changed it to a new one, works perfect. So there seem to be some variation in quality in these early baths of controllers, which is pretty normal when a console is brand new.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Update Announced For Switch 2, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@datamonkey

It's actually very nice to play in handheld mode. I'd take the Switch 2 version, esp if you're not sensitive to 30fps. It's a very good version on Switch 2, and the handheld mode feels like such an extra luxery.

@OrtadragoonX

I actually think they could've reduced geometry and such a fair bit more for the performance mode. Sure, it would make the city a bit less realistic looking, but I would personally find it totally acceptable to remove interiors in "less important" vehicles and buildings, and replace it with pseudo-reflective windshields and windows. But that would mean a lot more work with the port to go through the performance in every area of the city and remove none-essential geometry, maybe that workload simple wasn't possible to make the game a release title.

@OorWullie

It wouldn't surprise me if Cyberpunk becomes the best-selling third party title for the entire Switch 2 generation. Would be neat if it in the end sold more on Switch 2 than on the Xbox family of consoles. That would maybe change the attitude among third party releases on Nintendo. If third parties put effort in the ports to Switch 2, they can be successful on the system.

I'm glad I waited all these years with playing Cyberpunk.
In the state it is in now with the Switch 2 release, a game like Good old Skyrim is way more glitchy. I haven't even encountered any broken quest with almost 100hrs playtime.

Re: The FBI Has Seized A Switch ROM Site As Part Of A 'Law Enforcement Operation'

RasandeRose

@h3s

Shoplifting and piracy/stealing online, is not minor issues. Here in U.S. shoplifting has been such a big problem that entire neighborhoods has been stripped of local shops due to crime, and piracy is stripping us from investments in game development. And these type of crimes also comes with other criminal behaviour. If something in this day and age, I'm tired of people who're making excuses for criminal behaviour, and the idea of having more loyality towards criminals rather than towards the police, the government and corporations who has given us entertainment for 30+ years...is just shocking. No Way.

I can excuse 14yo for being immature, ut it's real sad to see people of my age 30+ having such a pathetic view of morale.

Re: The FBI Has Seized A Switch ROM Site As Part Of A 'Law Enforcement Operation'

RasandeRose

@Samalik

You really working hard to make the bad guys the victims.
It's like with the shoplifter gangs here in the U.S. They say they steal because they have starving babies at home, yet they hardly ever steal food items, mostly parfumes, electronics and stuff. Always playing the victim.

And yes, I rather be a fan of a company that pays taxes and employs thousands of people rather than support the thieves that only hurts the society.

Re: The FBI Has Seized A Switch ROM Site As Part Of A 'Law Enforcement Operation'

RasandeRose

@Samalik

Yes. And btw, there's not some great depression we live in. If they can't afford videogmes, you can bet they waste their money on stuff like junkfood, energy drinks etc. Stop making excuses, the people who pirate isn't starving kids in Africa, it's regular people who just doesn't want to pay, and they are experts in making up dumb excuses for their behaviour.

Re: The FBI Has Seized A Switch ROM Site As Part Of A 'Law Enforcement Operation'

RasandeRose

@Samalik

No, they wont. As long as Nintendo charges a price for their games, the pirates will keep on making excuses. If they took 1.99 for the new Mariokart, they would say it's still too expansive as it's not free. These are the kind of people who would blame society when they get arrested for shoplifting, rather than feel shame for committing a crime, like normal people.

Re: Talking Point: One Month On, How Did Nintendo's Switch 2 Launch Go?

RasandeRose

I'm very happy with the hardware. I'm not even missing the Oled-display as much as I thought I would, the LCD on Switch 2 is really a great one. Plus I love the new joy-cons and the Pro controller 2 is close to perfect. The only complaint I have hardware-wise is the battery-life. I would've wanted at least the same battery life as OG Switch had.

Game-wise, I'm overall happy there too.
Mariokart World is just great, and the third party-titles runs very well too. But I do think it's time for a big Direct now. We need more games, first and foremost more third-party games, for the autumn and winter.

Re: Switch 2 Dock Supports VRR After All, But It Doesn't Actually Work With Console

RasandeRose

@Porco

It's just how services like youtube and twitter works, they make the negativity explode. Switch 2 has pretty much the same drawbacks as Switch 1, just with more performance. Switch 2 won't flop in the sale figures the coming years because Nintendo banns pirates, not supporting vrr in docked mode, or having a slow screen that nobody notices while gaming anyway.

Re: "One Of The Slowest Modern LCDs I've Ever Seen" - Digital Foundry's John Linneman On Switch 2's Display

RasandeRose

@hammers1man

Switch 2 is heavy as it is, the big weight of todays handhelds also makes them less usable as handhelds. And adding almost 150g to an already very heavy console as Switch 2 isn't worth the extra battery life. I'm disappointed too with Switch 2:s battery life, but making it even more discomfort by adding even more weight wouldn't be a good thing. They need to develop better batteries that are more durable and gives higher load without adding weight. Too bad the evolution of batteries haven't come that far since he days of OG Switch.

Re: "One Of The Slowest Modern LCDs I've Ever Seen" - Digital Foundry's John Linneman On Switch 2's Display

RasandeRose

@hammers1man

According to the Welcome Tour, one of the reasons they made it bigger than the Switch Oled was because of the thermals, and ofc. they needed a more room for the bigger battery too. So maybe they tought it would be a bit weird to make the console much bigger but then not use the bigger estate, so they filled it with a bigger screen. Otherwise, if they put in a 7-inch display Switch 2 would have just as big bazels around the screen as OG Switch,

Other than that, I agree. It would be great if the battery technology was a bit more well developed by now, so we could have a 40Wh battery in Switch 2 without the battery having to be a huge and heavy brick that brings the consoles weight to over 700-800g.
