@MSaturn if they were deterred, maybe it wasnt for them? Video games inherently came with fun from getting skilled from a game. It was a hobby specifically for us nerds, and quite honestly it was better back then, when small passionate communities were trying to overcome problems and discussing the lore. That spark was lost somewhere along the way
Not having the easy way out in games made me realize that if I want to progress I need to overcome certain things and I believe it helped me in my problem solving skills
@Maxz yeah I loved the main theme of the game being overcoming or even coming to terms with anxiety disorder through the alegory of climbing a mountain. And that it's hard. And that you have to get those strawberries or the choice of skipping them will leave you with even more anxiety and self doubt. The game showed me my anxiety as if it holding up a mirror right to my face. It genuinely helped me organize my thoughts and feelings. I loved the message.
It sounds like a solid 8/10 for me, but Aspyr. Why does it always have to be Aspyr. I would literally pay more to a different company if it meant Aspyr wont make a dime on it
Sony has exactly 8 months to get back on their feet again and release all the goodies, or they are lost forever, like Microsoft. And Nintendo being the only console producer is a grim perspective
Both are great, they're like little masterpieces of the era. I remember it from my childhood, many games had this artstyle, it's so nostalgia inducing. I wish nowadays covers were half as good
I wait with the last particles of disappointment in my hand, backwards compatibility should be no 1 priority set in friggin obsidian obelisk for this console
@CammyUnofficial yeah having low skill players in your team is one of the worst feelings in games, it kinda feels unfair.
I just wanted to know, would older people choose experiences more often? Presents are nice and all, but memories created with loved ones are priceless.
Also money kinda is a present if you give it to someone.
To me, the games that defined Switch will always ve Mario Odyssey (which is, in my opinion, the best 3D Mario, even a tiny bit better than Galaxy 1 and 2) and Smash Ultimate.
Fantastic game. Every aspect was well executed. 10/10 would put in my top 20 games of all time.
If you wonder if it stood the test of time, they tried to improve it with a remake and they buthered it. That's how you determine the quality of a 00s gem
Dice Awards are much more prestigious than game awards but I didn't really follow it much to determine their accuracy. I hope people who deserve the awards will get them, we need some more talent recognition in the industry
@Samalik well, he did call non Japanese people "insects" and automatically blocks everyone who writes to him in any other language than Japanese. I don't expect anyone to learn new languages just to communicate with fans, but I assume even he knows a tiny bit of English (like the rest of the planet), especially when he was hired by big companies for a long time. So yeah, I think that is enough
Bad news. PlatinumGames made some brilliant games. I hope the rest of the crew delivers us many passion projects in the future, nonethenless.
I hate Hideki's personal views but I can't deny that I cheer on Capcom to climb up to the top again with Okami 2, even if it has to be directed by him.

Re: Celeste Dev Makes "Difficult Decision" To Cancel New Game Earthblade
Celeste had unfortunate events that I talked about here earlier. I think the creators changed for worse upon the success.

@Samalik I really really hope so. Personally I dont see any point in that, but guys who make good games tend to be built a bit different.
Re: Fans Reckon The 'Switch 2' Joy-Con May Be Usable As A Mouse
@mikegamer I use Hori joycons. No fancy features but comfortable and durable. 0 drifting after a long time. Possible? Possible.
So yeah if Nintendo gives us another drifting product, that would be the end of this romantic delusion of Nintendo Quality
Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Tops Rolling Stone's 50 Best Games Of All Time
who are those guys anyway
One of funnier lists I've seen
Parts are legit, like Sims 1, HL2, etc
Until you see no Morrowind, no Myst, no Tekken, no Wipeout or Okami, but... Madden 2004
4/10 at least they saw a couple of other bad lists and merged them together
