@Kirby_Girl Death Stranding takes huge inspiration from Breath of the Wild. The traversal is almost exactly the same with the only major difference being the ability to build stuff to help you overcome tougher areas.
@Kalmaro Thanks for this. I was considering it before reading your comment. I love the 40k license and Switch is the best platform for turn based strategy games, this should be a no brainer.
1 x 2D Metroid (Samus Returns HD, Super Metroid Remake, or a brand new one) (not unlikely given Samus Returns did well) 1 x Metroid Prime 4 (already announced) 1 x Metroid Prime Trilogy (pretty much a given since launching MP4 on a console without it would be idiotic).
A 2D Metroid is the most unlikely there but still far from unlikely. It could also be replaced by some sort of spinoff.
3 Metroid games by the end of the Switch's lifespan seems like a conservative guess.
To the people asking why this is news, this site doesn't only cover news and never has. Nor is there any reason that should be the case. And for a Nintendo fan site, bringing stuff from around the web that might interest a Nintendo fan is kinda the point.
@Selene So humans can pollute the water and change it's chemical balance causing harm, but they can't pollute the air and change it's chemical balance causing harm?
@Savino I had the same thought but then realised she would probably control a little too similarly to Pharah. Makes sense he would choose Link in that sense, as he would be a far more unique character in terms of gameplay and strategy.
@UncleJungle This is not about people who dislike the game. If you dislike the game, cool. If you sign this petition, you're a complete idiot. It is not a joke, just read it. If it is, they forgot to include any funny lines or any sign of self awareness or intelligence whatsoever. There are people who genuinely believe their disappointment over a Pokemon game is important enough for the government to care in the slightest.
@NintoRich it all comes down to that really. Most people found the motion annoying but if you’re used to it it’s a pretty good game. Have you played the GameCube games? If not I’d recommend them, they’re much better imo
@gcunit for most people that’s a fair point but I have a 200 GB SD card so in my case there’s no difference. In fact in that case it’s better to download it especially when such a large game, so that you can always play it without permanently sacrificing your cartridge slot. Although frankly I can’t see anybody having a Switch since launch and still not having a big SD card, what with all the digital exclusives that have come out for it.
(I already own the game physically on PS4 and don’t want it again, but just saying it’s not a one solution fits everybody situation)
@Rika_Yoshitake why have you put “good” in quote marks? The review doesn’t suggest it looks good elsewhere in any way and in fact specifically says it looks a bit rough everywhere lol
I'm going on holiday on the 4th October and still have a couple games in my backlog so I'm not buying any today.
But I will definitely get 11 soon, and likely one of the old ones too.
I have a great nostalgia for the old Dragon Quest games despite never buying or playing any of them - as a kid in love with Pokemon on the Game Boy, Dragon Quest was always in magazines as the "better than Pokemon game you can only get in Japan" and I'd spend hours gazing at screenshots dreaming of playing it.
I kinda have to buy one of the retro games just for that reason - is it best to just start with the original?
@gamer89 Actually no it doesn't. I'm completely pro consumer and against microtransactions when it is nickel and diming consumers for no reason.
I'm against them in retail games period, in any situation.
Considering this is a free to play game with all content free, and these microtransactions are completely unnecessary to see everything the game has to offer, they can not be considered anti consumer in any sense.
Free to play games have to make money, and Pokemon Go has an excellent business model.
If your argument against microtransactions is about protecting the consumer, you are mad at the wrong game. There are little to no other F2P mobile games that offer the value Pokemon Go does.
If your argument against microtransactions is about being mad about corporations making lots of money, you shouldn't be involved in video gaming at all.
For the vast majority of movies he’s right, but this doesn’t apply to this one at all. The movie is aimed at Sonic fans and has absolutely nothing to offer for anybody else. Sticking with the old design would mean it had nothing to offer them either.
On the spectrum of stupid marketing moves, there isn’t one much dumber than targeting something at a specific audience but then neglecting to focus on what appeals to them.
@KcebEnyaw I know but I don’t use tabletop enough for the time without the console to be worth while. There are replacement metal kickstands last longer and that allow you to do it yourself for like £3, I just haven’t gotten around to getting one.
@Nintendrone They shouldn't and they don't have to, if you send them back to Nintendo they replace them for free.
That's not the point the person was making.
Personally if the choice was between sending it back and getting it fixed for free but losing my console for a couple of days/weeks, or simply replacing the sticks myself for less than £4 and in a few minutes, I'd rather do that than wait to have it repaired free any time.
I think the point the person was making was when an issue is so rare and so easily solved, it's quite sad that people are making this much noise about it. This doesn't suggest it isn't Nintendo's fault or that it isn't their responsibility to fix those issues that arise, or remove blame off them at all.
Why port the one that's objectively the worst??? Such a shame, I've been hoping for a good Monkey Ball port or sequel for years but this is literally the only one I wouldn't bother with.
@Indominus_B if you read my comment as being offended you live in an extremely delicate world lmao. Your opinion of DF isn’t relevant to me and if you read my comment as somehow defending them then try again, or don’t because arguing here is lame
@Indominus_B They did the same about Doom and then it came out and they sang it's praises.
They aren't saying things are impossible on Switch to trash the Switch, they're saying it because they genuinely can't see a way to make it work.
Panic Button worked magic on DOOM and Saber Interactive are working magic here, and Digital Foundry happily eat crow every time and say how incredible the job is etc.
You act like they regularly say the Switch is rubbish when the direct opposite is true, they are huge fans
Higher than both Doom and Xenoblade 2, both of which are less complex games.
Not to mention, Doom already looks incredible and any higher res would be 100% pointless on such a small screen.
If you thought higher was possible, I don't know what you're smoking.
And no, Witcher 3 doesn't run in 4K on a standard PS4, or on a Pro either so not sure where you got that. it's 2160p and even that is via checkerboarding so it's lower in reality.
@mattesdude I’d go with option 3 if you can stick it out until Black Friday. Larger ones are commonly available for the same sort of price we’re talking now around then.!

Re: Ittle Dew 2 Removed From Switch eShop Against Developer's Wishes
@Anti-Matter You can still download Wii games you already purchased.
You can even still transfer them to Wii U.
You just can't purchase them any more, which is not a real issue in any sense. Mild annoyance I admit, but nothing more.
If there is a Wii game you haven't purchased yet, you can't pretend you care about it now.

Not really the review's fault, it covers everything known about the system right now.
Re: Hardware Review: Nintendo Switch Lite - Half A Switch, But That's More Than Enough For Some
@jockmahon I'm afraid this is physically impossible, there is no video out.
It's a shame because they could have just made it possible with a wire, with no dock included.
This would have kept it just as easily portable and increased the manufacturing cost by only a minuscule amount.

Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
@ShadJV I'll be honest, my kickstand broke after I had my switch for a couple weeks and I haven't played tabletop since.
It's theoretically possible, yes, but too uncomfortable and annoying to truly be worthwhile.
Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
@Tao Who has needed to buy an entire new console?
The majority of joycons don't experience this issue, buying a new pair of them would solve it 99% of the time.
Also if you contact Nintendo with a joycon stick issue they happily repair or replace them for free anyway.
Unless you have had joycon issues like 4-5 times in a row and are trying something new, there is no reason anybody would need to buy a new console.
Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch

Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
Does anyone care to explain what this actually feels like?
I've own two switches myself and played with dozens and never experienced it, I must be pretty lucky.
The term "joycon drift" sounds like the sticks act as if they're moving when they aren't?
I used to have stuff like that on my Gamecube on a rare occasion, was super annoying.

@Gerald This isn't the proper Digital Foundry comparison, that won't come out until they have a copy.
This is just a comparison of the footage we've seen to capitalise of the current interest and get some traffic.
Re: The Witcher 3 On Switch Runs At 540p Portable, 720p Docked
@gamer95 no, 2160 x 3840 is 4K
Not 1920 x 2160 which is what Witcher 3 natively renders at on PlayStation.
The clue is in the 4K which is short for 4,000 which is rounded up from 3,840.
Re: The Witcher 3 On Switch Runs At 540p Portable, 720p Docked
