Update: We've had some more details on the Switch port of Alien: Isolation, which is due for release thanks to publisher Feral Interactive. It has been confirmed that the Switch edition will boast "gyroscopic aiming and HD rumble to immerse players in its terrifying world wherever they play". We've also had a new trailer (shown above), but it's light on gameplay.

Original Story: Sega and Creative Assembly's classic survival horror title Alien: Isolation is Switch-bound, it has been revealed.

The game was confirmed during a quick-fire sizzle reel towards the end of today's E3 Nintendo Direct. While little in the way of fanfare has been made, this is a pretty sizeable release for Nintendo fans; originally launched in 2014 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, the game remains a tense and superbly-structured take on the classic sci-fi horror movie series.

Unlike other video game takes on the Alien universe – which tend to focus on 1986's action-heavy Aliens when it comes to inspiration – Isolation borrows heavily from Ridley Scott's 1979 original, stripping the player of weaponry and placing greater emphasis on survival and stealth.
