Re: Review: Mighty No. 9 (Wii U)

@Ed_Fairway I saw GameXplain's video too, not all of it but I was in search of my name. I got assigned a number, lucky me eh? ;w;

I'm hoping he bounces back too after such a hard hit. Maybe spend more time on the game development aspect and not so much on the 'porting to every system'. (was PS3/360 needed?) Or at least get someone else to do that task.

Oh yes, the voice acting. Well, given that they were involved in this I can't think they gave it their all!

Re: Editorial: An Ode To The Wii U GamePad, Nintendo's Mad But Brilliant Controller

PixelSprixie

I was just thinking the other day how ingenious an idea the Wii U game pad has been. It made console gaming a whole lot more accessible, and didn't come with any short comings aside from battery life.

My personal favourite example of using the gamepad is Splatoon, which made for a very unique experience indeed. ^_^

However, with Kirby & the Rainbow Curse, not only was it required to use it but using the main screen simply wasn't practical which was a sure downside if you wanted to see the game in HD. As the main method of playing it is with the stylus. Wind Waker HD had the ideal use of the Gamepad: it enhances the experience with hindering the gameplay.

I just hope that whatever Nintendo makes next, they don't drop the second screen. Because I don't personally feel that it was responsible for the downfall of the Wii U.

Re: Nintendo Outlines a Fresh Approach to Storytelling in The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

PixelSprixie

I'm so eagerly waiting on this game like you wouldn't even believe. If this game gives me an even more immersive feel like 'Shadow of the Collosus', it potentially likely to be favourite game of the generation. I concern it may be a heavy experience of exploration, however. (I get lost easily.)

That said, if they told us we were also getting a new 2D Zelda game in the vain of Link Between Worlds, that too would be an instant buy. :3

Re: Review: Mighty No. 9 (Wii U)

I finally got brave & decided to play MN9. And uh, it wasn't a happy moment in my gamer life. I kept tuning out, and longing to play Shovel Knight. But hey, I got my name I'm the credits... ;-;

I surely hope that if Inafune wishes to rekindle that twice put out flame, he better deliver something that blows our collective minds. Uh, likely much?

Re: New Sonic the Hedgehog Game is Coming in 2017

PixelSprixie

I've probably said this more times than I can count, but I'm no Sonic fan. However, I'm always intrigued to see what Sonic Team can do to put Sonic back on the map. ^_^ I loved Sonic Colours so let's hope we get a game even better than that.

Tails as a playable character = must

Re: Review: Mega Man 7 (New 3DS / SNES)

PixelSprixie

Megaman 7 is my personal favourite. I played Megaman 8 in the Annerversary collection and didn't care for it due to controls. Looking forward for the European release of 7, and am really hoping for a Megaman X1-3 release on 3DS!

Re: Anniversary: Super Mario 64 is Now 20 Years Old

PixelSprixie

Wow, 20 years since the hype bubble that was the Ultra 64, later Nintendo 64, finally popped and changed the face of gaming? Wow, don't I feel old now. I was born in the same year it was released. ^_^ Super Mario 64 have me my first world to explore, the game is now a foundation for my favourite genre!

Re: Reminder: It's the Final Countdown on Nintendo of Europe's eShop Five Year Anniversary Sale

PixelSprixie

I think I did pretty well with what I got, it's not often I buy multiple games in such a short place of time on the eShop. I got Kirby's Dream Land, Link's Awakening, Mario Bros 2/3 for nostalgic fun. ^_^ I was pleasantly surprised by BoxBoy. (wasn't even part of this sale!) On the Wii U however, all of the games which got my interest were ones I'd previously got anyways. I was hoping Yoshi's Story would have been part of it!

Re: Pokémon Sun and Moon 'Fan Editions' and Limited Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL Confirmed for Europe

PixelSprixie

I really love the Sun & Moon XL edition. It looks so stylish. (One with Lunala alone with a ice blue finish would be ideal!) I upgraded to a New 3DS XL this year so it's too late I'm afraid. ^_^; As for the Steel book... uhm, maybe it will be worth something in the future? I dunno, I don't see the point, personally. A nice booklet with detailed art of each new Pokémon would have been more of an incentive for me.

Re: Video: Get a Good Look At Zero Time Dilemma on 3DS

PixelSprixie

It's an obvious observation comparing 3DS & Vita games regarding graphical difference (something we've known since their respective launches) Coming from someone who plays both systems, the 3DS version still looks impressive. In fact I encourage 3DS owners to get ZTD for that system in they don't have a Vita. :3

Re: Talking Point: In Praise of the 3DS eShop, Which is Now Five Years Old

PixelSprixie

Although I find the eShop's presence commendable for what it has done for Nintendo, I'm still rather critical of it for the obvious reasons. (Questionable prices on SNES games differing on Wii U & N3DS is one such example) The sporadic new releases sometimes leave me forgetting the eShop is even there! That said, I'll keep cheering it on in hope we will see many fun titles in the future - giving that unique new Nintendo feel each game can provide. ^_^

Re: Nintendo Download: 9th June (Europe)

PixelSprixie

I was really hoping a certain, different Kirby title was going to be released on 3DS eShop... y'know, Dream Land 3. ;-; As I already got 1 & 2 for my 3ds! But that aside, I can't wait for my preordered copy of Planet Robobot to arrive! ^_^

Re: Rumour: Nintendo UK Hints at More Mario Kart 8 DLC

PixelSprixie

Either this is simply a screenshot with a joke caption or a sneaky hint of what's to come... wheather is has anything to do with MK8 in particular, who can say... no one yet. :3 But, regardless it makes me hyped for the idea for new Mario Kart related fun in the not-to-distant future.

Re: Would Ewe Believe It, Shaun The Sheep Is Coming To Super Mario Maker Tomorrow

PixelSprixie

@LegendOfPokemon That's a very narrow approach to things, don't you think? Doesn't have to exclusively Nintendo, or just video game related. Characters from other pop culture series, such as Shaun the Sheep or Hello Kitty, are appealing to new comers. So that they gather fans from far reaches to play Mario Maker. And if that encourages creativity, who's complaining?

Re: This Freshly Translated Interview Sheds New Light on the Development of Super Mario Land 2

PixelSprixie

I love Super Mario Land 2 for its unique direction which the game developers took. It's very much on par with the NES Mario titles, in terms of originality & playability, despite its short length. Admittedly, I did think the game was easy after replaying it recently but on the GB, it was a challenge alone to play on such a small screen. :x So I understand why they toned down the difficulty for that sake. Thankfully they did feature a 'Hard Mode's setting in the fire select. For those spoiled Super Gameboy players to enjoy! :3

*Would - sorry I noticed a typo at the end. ^_^;
