@Ed_Fairway I saw GameXplain's video too, not all of it but I was in search of my name. I got assigned a number, lucky me eh? ;w;
I'm hoping he bounces back too after such a hard hit. Maybe spend more time on the game development aspect and not so much on the 'porting to every system'. (was PS3/360 needed?) Or at least get someone else to do that task.
Oh yes, the voice acting. Well, given that they were involved in this I can't think they gave it their all!
I was just thinking the other day how ingenious an idea the Wii U game pad has been. It made console gaming a whole lot more accessible, and didn't come with any short comings aside from battery life.
My personal favourite example of using the gamepad is Splatoon, which made for a very unique experience indeed. ^_^
However, with Kirby & the Rainbow Curse, not only was it required to use it but using the main screen simply wasn't practical which was a sure downside if you wanted to see the game in HD. As the main method of playing it is with the stylus. Wind Waker HD had the ideal use of the Gamepad: it enhances the experience with hindering the gameplay.
I just hope that whatever Nintendo makes next, they don't drop the second screen. Because I don't personally feel that it was responsible for the downfall of the Wii U.
Count me in! ^_^ Haha if Nintendo are to have a big part of this, there'll be lots of fun to be had. Will my Inkling cosplay be enough to compete? Haha.
I can't wait to play this game, it looks really cute but potentially challenging and engaging, not to mention the style overall. ^_^ Also, I love 2D platformers with 2d graphics.
Gimmicks are a completely no-go area for me. The Wii U worked for me because it was essentially a home console DS setup which I'm used to. But when normal controls aren't present, I'm concerned. :x
@JohnGrey Yeah, that's exactly what I thought! It stands out more to me for taking the best of both worlds. Also Super NES music is my favourite, 7 is no exception.
This looks really promising, I can't wait to see how this goes. ^_^ hopefully it will bring my enthusiasm back to make levels ever since a few of my most time-consuming levels to create were removed!
@ollietaro I had a go at Lost World and believe me it's nothing special but to be honest, on 3DS, I gravitate towards the series I enjoy most. Sometimes, changing the fomula isn't completely required. :x
I'm so eagerly waiting on this game like you wouldn't even believe. If this game gives me an even more immersive feel like 'Shadow of the Collosus', it potentially likely to be favourite game of the generation. I concern it may be a heavy experience of exploration, however. (I get lost easily.)
That said, if they told us we were also getting a new 2D Zelda game in the vain of Link Between Worlds, that too would be an instant buy. :3
It looks very adorable, which I can't resist. :3 But Real-time Strategy games have never been my kind of game. Will wait for a review, purrhaps (sorry) this game will change my mind on the matter.
Aww, the Megadrive & Nintendo 64 were the earlier consoles I grew up playing. :') As well as the Gameboy Color. Super Mario 64 was always my own little virtual world to explore. Never had I felt to personally involved in a game prior, thanks to the way you collect and progress.
Hm, this seems rather nice. ^_^ enough for me to redownload the app? Not really, sad to say. Although I'm happy more counties get to embrace the novelty for the first time.
I had a go at the 3DS demo and uh, it seems kinda similar to the London 2012 I played... no, scratch that; I couldn't tell the difference with the gameplay. Aside from updated visuals/different events.
I finally got brave & decided to play MN9. And uh, it wasn't a happy moment in my gamer life. I kept tuning out, and longing to play Shovel Knight. But hey, I got my name I'm the credits... ;-;
I surely hope that if Inafune wishes to rekindle that twice put out flame, he better deliver something that blows our collective minds. Uh, likely much?
@ollietaro That's such a good example! Kirby games have remained consistently good, usually adding on a unique playing style (Hypernova, Robobot) but overall the gameplay is familiar. But still amazing! I think Sonic Team need to follow HAL's philosophy in making games.
@THE_AG It's so immeasurably sad whenever progression for the good of human kind is so wrongfully hindered like this. I used to call myself British but I would rather prefer European from now on. Division is what causes evil in this world.
Hmm. As a British Nintendo fan, who did vote to remain, I'm in despair even more so over this. ._. I just hope this won't have much, or at best, any effect in new releases and the future for Nintendo UK. Not only that, but for the future of the country, relations between us and our European allies and friends. Uhm, yeah... :x
I am so excited to play this game when it comes out in Europe. I've been eagerly waiting for it since they announced it. You guys are so lucky ^_^ also, do you know where that flipper roll Seal can be bought? It's a must have for me!! ;-;
I've probably said this more times than I can count, but I'm no Sonic fan. However, I'm always intrigued to see what Sonic Team can do to put Sonic back on the map. ^_^ I loved Sonic Colours so let's hope we get a game even better than that.
Megaman 7 is my personal favourite. I played Megaman 8 in the Annerversary collection and didn't care for it due to controls. Looking forward for the European release of 7, and am really hoping for a Megaman X1-3 release on 3DS!
Aw, I can't wait for what is going to be revealed. ^_^ I know that the Professor Hershal Layton story is over, so I'm keen to know what direction they'll take now. I really hope it does come to Nintendo systems because lately we haven't had much luck. :x
I'm no Sonic fan but this 25th anniversary seems like a tumbleweed chase so far. ^_^; ideally, they should have given details about the new game earlier on so it can catch people attention over the year. Still nothing so far.
Wow, 20 years since the hype bubble that was the Ultra 64, later Nintendo 64, finally popped and changed the face of gaming? Wow, don't I feel old now. I was born in the same year it was released. ^_^ Super Mario 64 have me my first world to explore, the game is now a foundation for my favourite genre!
Aw, this is rather silly but charming. Reminds me of the kind of shows I used to watch as a child. ^_^ Any way to encourage people to play my new favourite Kirby game is fine by me.
I think I did pretty well with what I got, it's not often I buy multiple games in such a short place of time on the eShop. I got Kirby's Dream Land, Link's Awakening, Mario Bros 2/3 for nostalgic fun. ^_^ I was pleasantly surprised by BoxBoy. (wasn't even part of this sale!) On the Wii U however, all of the games which got my interest were ones I'd previously got anyways. I was hoping Yoshi's Story would have been part of it!
I really love the Sun & Moon XL edition. It looks so stylish. (One with Lunala alone with a ice blue finish would be ideal!) I upgraded to a New 3DS XL this year so it's too late I'm afraid. ^_^; As for the Steel book... uhm, maybe it will be worth something in the future? I dunno, I don't see the point, personally. A nice booklet with detailed art of each new Pokémon would have been more of an incentive for me.
It's an obvious observation comparing 3DS & Vita games regarding graphical difference (something we've known since their respective launches) Coming from someone who plays both systems, the 3DS version still looks impressive. In fact I encourage 3DS owners to get ZTD for that system in they don't have a Vita. :3
Rather impressed by what I saw, and excited to know who's working on it. I know the 3DS has a library full of for RPGs but this one stands out to me with its style and real-time gameplay. ^_^
Although I find the eShop's presence commendable for what it has done for Nintendo, I'm still rather critical of it for the obvious reasons. (Questionable prices on SNES games differing on Wii U & N3DS is one such example) The sporadic new releases sometimes leave me forgetting the eShop is even there! That said, I'll keep cheering it on in hope we will see many fun titles in the future - giving that unique new Nintendo feel each game can provide. ^_^
I was really hoping a certain, different Kirby title was going to be released on 3DS eShop... y'know, Dream Land 3. ;-; As I already got 1 & 2 for my 3ds! But that aside, I can't wait for my preordered copy of Planet Robobot to arrive! ^_^
This is very good news, only the other day was I thinking "Still no release date, hope this game won't suffer the same fate as MN9..." and here we have it ^_^ just hope we Europeans get a physical copy too. That's a must have.
I feel like Nintendo's way of trying to fix this tricky issue puts game developers in the dust by simply removing their titles from the eShop. Hackers, of course, are unstoppable - so it's really just a endless battle going on. With the innocent developers getting caught up in it all. :x
Either this is simply a screenshot with a joke caption or a sneaky hint of what's to come... wheather is has anything to do with MK8 in particular, who can say... no one yet. :3 But, regardless it makes me hyped for the idea for new Mario Kart related fun in the not-to-distant future.
Wow, the only secret here I was even aware of was the 'running around the wooden pole coin trick' - which is crazy as I've played Super Mario 64 so many times! In fact, I'm currently (re)playing Super Mario 64 DS and am only new secrets as I go along! ^_^
@LegendOfPokemon That's a very narrow approach to things, don't you think? Doesn't have to exclusively Nintendo, or just video game related. Characters from other pop culture series, such as Shaun the Sheep or Hello Kitty, are appealing to new comers. So that they gather fans from far reaches to play Mario Maker. And if that encourages creativity, who's complaining?
Personally I'm really happy to see Shaun the Sheep appearing in Super Mario Maker. My childhood favourite series coming together, even if it is just a level and costume. :3 Stop-motion has a special place in my heart always. ^_^
Ah I'm looking forward to getting to know the new Rotom Pokedex ^_^ even though I like to find my way around each region however, a talking Pokémon companion is a welcome touch. :3
I love Super Mario Land 2 for its unique direction which the game developers took. It's very much on par with the NES Mario titles, in terms of originality & playability, despite its short length. Admittedly, I did think the game was easy after replaying it recently but on the GB, it was a challenge alone to play on such a small screen. :x So I understand why they toned down the difficulty for that sake. Thankfully they did feature a 'Hard Mode's setting in the fire select. For those spoiled Super Gameboy players to enjoy! :3
I get the feeling that the inclusion of passwords in DQXI will be for novelty reasons, and will only be used minimally. I don't think they would want to fully replace in game saves for the sake of nostalgia. :x
That said, it would be interesting to see how they would use passwords once again, perhaps even make it fun.
