Surely they would save the next generation of Pokémon for the Switch...? I think new future Switch owners would prefer a whole new game rather than a polished version of a game that came out on 3DS the year prior, right? I don't know :x

Ahh, more rumours, they drive me insane as they give me false optimism too often... but I can't help but get excited by the prospect of this new Mario 3D game for Switch. If this is real, I'd freak out! In a good way. ^^

I still have this game on the Wii Virtual Console, I absolutely loved the fast paced gameplay but felt it was somewhat hindered by 50Hz... is it worth transferring it to Wii U to run at 60Hz but have the control stick deadzone instead?

While this definitely seems like typical, over optimistic business talk, the Nintendo Switch has my money set on it regardless ^_^ it will be a nifty system to play fun games on!

@Alundra-1998 I preordered it back in August so I'm hoping to get the figure, surely. I wasn't even aware of the phases. :x

@cfgk24 I saw that myself! It made me so happy to see Pokémon Sun/Moon get the attention it should have. :')

I really want the Red/Black New 3DS XL, loving the red buttons... if only I hadn't already upgraded to a Blue N3DS XL 8 months ago. ^_^;;

I wonder how this will change when Pokémon Sun & Moon are out. ^_^ It will be a good time for Nintendo to put it lightly.

In my honest opinion I see the Switch as the home console replacement and the dedicated handheld base will continue with the 3DS and whatever succeeds it. (Maybe a 3DS HD?) The 3DS still has the more desirable price tag and large user base while the Switch will likely carry the torch of the Wii U and it's audience in a different way. I do believe the Switch will sell well but if not, they must be careful not to throw away both markets which would be chaotic.

I preordered with Game UK (the first time I've ever done that) in order to get my copy with a Lunala figurine. I'm hoping they'll throw in the Alola postcard in there considering its now featured with the figure now. ^_^

Ahh hearing that the Wii U is finally on its way out so soon does make me sad. I remember hearing rumours of the upcoming replacement for Wii in 2011 and being ecstatic to play on this mysterious new system.

I know the Wii U was a subject of ridicule for many, but when the system did something new & original, it did it amazingly. (Splatoon, Mario Maker, Star Fox, to name a few)

I love the longevity & uniqueness of the 3DS - even after all these years it never fails to impressive me. (I even love it's flaws) I'm really happy that it's being carried on to 2017, I hope to get as much used out of my New 3DS XL as I did with my 3DS before it! ^_^

@Luna_110 We do have nice things on Wii U... typically, the console counterparts are more fleshed out. I don't get the rivalry between 3DS & Wii U owners. :x they both Nintendo.

Kind of a shame Skyward Sword isn't getting the HD treatment as Wind Waker & Twilight Princess before it got, but I'm happy to see it's getting some love for once! ^_^ will continue to keep my Wii copy for now!

Surely one of the biggest setting points for Sun & Moon are the new & exclusive Pokémon introduced... while the big appeal factor for GO is the inclusion of Gen 1 Pokémon only. :x

I'm more surprised to think it's coming out on all three last gen systems... didn't think they will still have much of an active user base left by 2017. :x More so with the Wii.

@Ed_Fairway Gen V is such a close second for me, I love Zoroark, also Scolipede, Galvantula & Swanna. ^_^

@Ed_Fairway I still use my Pokéwalker! I hope so too, I love Gen 2 and it's Pokémon so much. ^_^

I wouldn't mind so much if it were smaller are more subtle like the Pokéwalker for HeartGold/SoulSilver. I just can't see my adult self using one of the these. Still, if it makes others happy I won't knock it.

Was at a game shop the other day and all of the Pokémon DS/3DS titles have shot up in price. Pokémon Diamond is now £35, and Omega Ruby is £45! ;-; That's a lot of money for 2nd games which aren't even rare...

Will you still be able buy & transfer DSi Ware games on 3DS after the shop closes? :x I bought many games on my DSi... so many memories ;-;

@GoldenGamer88 Same. I couldn't get into Pokémon Go but I didn't want to feel as if I were missing out. Replaying OmegaRuby now ^_^

Nintendo should have more sales similar to the 5th Annerversary eShop deals, but on a more regular basis. VC games for cheap are such a must have ;-;

Huh... emulate GC/Wii on NX huh? I don't see it happening... ;-; the Wii U out of the box should have been backwards compatible with GC games due to the nature of its hardware. I assumed GC VC on Wii U was going to be a given in 2012. But that never happened. Even with the officially released GC to Wii U controller adaptor, I still got my hopes up again and they got crushed once more. Damn it, Nintendo. :x

Oh wow, I remember playing this from a friend when I was like, 13... haha I was younger. ^_^; this game was kinda fun though. I love character customisation.

I haven't been able to get into it, myself. Funny considering the countless hours I put in Pokémon Y, and every generation before it. I'm not keen on walking while I play (motion sickness) and my phone's battery simply isn't up to the demand.
That said, I'm happy people are enjoying it and gives me a promising feeling Sun & Moon will be a holiday hit on 3DS. ^_^

I was really surprised that Freedom Planet never came to the 3DS, when you consider the graphical style/size. ^_^ Maybe Renegade Kid should get in contact with Christian Whitehead instead? I'd love a 3DS handheld version of Sonic Mania.

Robobot demo, huh? ^_^ Didn't expect that, thought Kirby was a franchise that sold itself! (I preordered it & Triple Deluxe, so yeah)

I assumed these rumours had been debunked, so why are Nintendo Life giving fanfare to 'these' designs? They're nothing we haven't seen before. Just a funny take on the Wii U gamepad.

@Dakt What bothers me is that they're treating it as if it's all factual :x this 'NX' we're getting doesn't interest me. The Wii U needs a promising replacement.

I hope this means that the 3DS will have awesome sales this year with the release of Sun & Moon. ^_^ Now that Pokémon is at the height of its popularity once again.

These are really neat and essential features to include ^_^ but won't these inclusions be very content-heavy for a Free-to-play mobile game? And won't it cut into the sales & focus of the main series games? I think Pokémon Go will remain more simplistic than its main series counterparts just to keep the keep the casual Pokémon fans happy.

I really want one, the idea of owning such an adorable sized NES system really gets me excited. ^_^ I just wonder if the games will run up to standard compared to other retro mini systems of the past. I'd love to play Kirby's Adventure on it, but if the performance of that game is hindered, it's not so fun to play. The NES classic control is such an instant purchase for me, ever since Japan got a Hori Super Famicom CC all those years ago! A Nintendo quality NES controller replica is where it's at for me. :3

I'd love to see what these guys look like in 3D, that's where their personalities will shine. ^_^ The red panda Pokémon is rather cute, albeit - a bit minimalistic. Reminds me of Pancham.

The scribble-Pokemon looks like there might be some kind of back story on why it looks like a Pikachu. And what it even is!!

I was hesitant to pick up either of the Gen 1 games because of their price... but now I have to! Pokémon Yellow it is! ^~^ if they ever put Crystal on VC it would be an instant buy for me.

@YouSeemFRAZZLED I remember that, and all we really got was the Shaun the Sheep 3D shorts, and the short lived Nintendo Video :x the anime channel is good but it's only in 2D.

Yacht Club Games are so amazing. ;w; I never got to play Azure Striker Gunvolt, but if it's anything like Megaman Zero, I'm totally up for it! Shovel Knight is icing on the cake!

Hm it seems like a cool idea, and the prospect of meeting new Pokémon fans always makes me happy, I very rarely use my phone to play games. I'm all for buttons. ^~^ but i might give it a try one day.

Color Game TV 6, eh? Catchy title ^_^ haha I kid, this system has always been in the back of my mind, have always wanted to play on one... just to say I have! Surprised it has lasted the test of time. I believe Sega also had an obscure Japan only system, the SG 1000. :3

Awh the first Donkey Kong Game I played as a child was DK Land for GB, the graphics were nothing special but the game play was so fun. :3 I remember later first seeing DK Country for the first time... chills that music! David Wise made that game, imo.
