This definitely got my interest but when I saw AtGames were making this, I was reminded of the portable Megadrive which had poor sound emulation. It make Streets of Rage 2's soundtrack into a mess. I hope, at this price, it's going to have updated hardware.

@TruthfulVoice Uh... The Nintendo Switch is still receiving the bigger IPs this year so I don't see the problem in releasing a new IP on a pretty established system like the 3DS. A lot of people, including me, still play 3DS and hope to get Ever Oasis.

@Jasspur I believe the team that worked on Super Mario RPG later moved from Square to AlphaDream (creators of Mario and Luigi) so I don't think Square Enix would be much help on that. But I know what you mean!

I really want to play the new Shantae game, I have The Pirates Curse on Wii U and had a lot of fun but never finished it (as it got more difficult and I kept getting lost) so maybe I should give Half Genie Hero a go. Its style is cute.

Awww the main character of Ever Oasis is adorable. I hope we get a demo for the eShop after it comes out as I'd love to try it. I still use my 3DS a lot so this will be a welcome new game to play.

This looks amazing. I own many NES games but I haven't played any of them in so long since my system doesn't work with my TV. I even own a few Japanese and NA games which I never got to play.

I didn't get a chance to get a NES mini so this is tempting for me. I hope it runs games well though.

@audiobrainiac Ah okay, well no doubt Sonic Mania would work nicely on the 3DS screen. (Like the Sonic 1/2 3D ports) So I'm going to stay hopeful.

I really love the classic style Sonic games (and more recently Freedom Planet on Wii U) so I'm eagerly waiting to play Sonic Mania. Flying Battery Zone Act 1/2 has the best music of the Megadrive era Sonic games in my opinion.

@audiobrainiac I heard that Renegade Kid (of Mutant Mudds) offered to Sega to make a 3DS version of Sonic Mania. I hope they take that offer!

Yay, I can't wait for it. I'm expecting some neat little titles to be announced for Switch or 3DS so I'll have plenty of games to play until the end of the year. Hoping for something amazing. Super Mario Odyssey is looking like a great holiday game! I sure hope Luigi is playable...

Aww they look amazing. But because I know I want them I know it will be difficult to get these Kirby figures. My favourite is the Parasol Robobot ❤

I got to play Yooka Laylee on PS4 and had a lot of fun. Hoping to see it get more patches to make for a nicer flow of gameplay. (The odd camera issue, framerate drop was frustrating however)

I'm not mad that the Wii U version, the one I intended to get initially, was cancelled. The system is behind us now, so I'm thinking the Switch version will be the 'definitive' edition when it releases to make up. I wouldn't be surprised if Playtonic got their development kit late hence the long wait. It will be great to play portably though.

I was gonna say, wasn't there already a Sonic game canceled called Sonic Extreme...? Wait, that was Sonic Xtreme on the Sega Saturn. I guess that name, or any variation, is destined not to be released.

I'm completely in favour of people wanting to keep Super Mario Maker alive, it's one of the best online games available. However, glitches and exploits are game breaking and Nintendo will always want to amend that.

Mario Maker is still fun and worthwhile without glitches, sure they are interesting to pull off, but it can throw fair creative level design out the window.

Cooking Mama (as well as Super Princess Peach) were my first DS games, both of which I'm really nostalgic for. So it will be hard to say no when Sweet Shop comes out in the UK!

While I don't need the new updated system, I'm really tempted to give it a try. I love my New 3DS XL a lot but I feel like it could be much lighter and sleeker much like the N2DS XL seems to be. (It doesn't fit in my pocket so well)

Aw the White/Orange one looks adorable to me. My little niece is already wanting one as her first video game system. £129 is great for a New XL :3

This is so sweet I couldn't help shed a few tears while I was reading this... I hope Nintendo continue to tailor their games for people who don't have it so easy in life. As a child I often found it difficult to react fast enough and would be sad when I lost. I know how much this can mean to someone, especially with difficulties.

While I'm not excited for Deluxe like I was when Mario Kart 8 first came out in 2014, I'm happy it's getting the attention it deserves once again. Hoping to see missions return from Mario Kart DS one day.

That's nice. I did expect the Switch to outdo the Wii U and it seems like that's more likely than ever, now ^_^

I wonder what that new Multiplayer Kirby game will be like... will it be online perhaps? Have a nice story mode? Looking forward to it since I loved Robobot!

Oh dear I don't think this is a Switch game for me. I prefer my games to be cutesy and innocent. But uh, interesting to see how the Joycons can be used.

@Yasume I think it's more likely Square Enix got the development kit tools late so it will just come out later for Switch.

I actually play on my 3DS everyday, it's my trusty little friend! Though I love to get StreetPasses, I can't seem to get them like I used to. The only place I seem to get them is in Game. (the UK shop)

This is cool... I tried the demo for Bayonetta 2 and thought it was fun, not my kind of game though. But I kinda assumed the countdown was going to be Switch related though. No doubt the 3rd game will be on the horizon.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I kinda feel like an actual Mario Kart 9 would sell bigger numbers for Switch as many Wii U owners aren't going to be as tempted to play MK8 again.

@Haru17 It's sad one of my favourite Wii U games is considered garbage... even with a few flaws its so much fun.

@Crono1973 I'd just like to see it get the attention it deserves... nothing else to it. I played CS and enjoyed the game start to finish.

I'd love Paper Mario Color Splash to make a return on Switch as I felt like that game got overlooked being released late in the Wii U's lifespan. It's an amazing game.

Regarding a new Switch game, I'd love a Yoshi's Woolly World 2/Kirby Epic Yarn 2 as those games are fun and charming and I'd love something new that style!

As I'm British myself I think she did an amazing job at voicing Zelda with the accent than I ever could. I hope she enjoys finally hearing how she sounds while playing!

I had no idea what Cemu was... until now. Thanks to NintendoLife. I don't own a high end PC or anything. But surely this site shouldn't be endorsing a Wii U emulator just because the system is only now out of production?

I can certainly see Pokémon coming to the Switch so as long as Game Freak get enough time to get used to the new hardware... Like Pokémon X/Y was good as a first game for 3DS but felt slow to navigate through and the frame rate would often drop. That said, I see a new generation being started in the Switch, and the possibly 3rd version would likely remain on N3DS for the time being.

I am sure it will go beyond 3% as it is early days for Switch at the moment. I hope Nintendo work even more closely with developers though!

@vforvincent I noticed that as well, the game seems to run well and smoothly on my Wii U for the most part until I reach any villages, then it makes me motion sick from the dip in frame rate...

@Ryu_Niiyama Ahh, I'm the same as you in that regard... I don't trust myself with my new shiny system, when out and about, from past experience. I'd be terrified if I dropped it. Time to order myself a whole lot of protective cover cases and screen protectors and I'm set!

I hope to see more people knowing what the Switch really is, because my friends look at it with a blank stare... ^_^; like they can't believe console games can be played on a portable device. But I'm so happy to hear it's doing well. I knew it would!

It's understandable that the Wii U has dipped considerably, many people are accepting that the Wii U is now being replaced with Switch. Who would buy a Wii U now? It's sad because I love the console but it's time to say goodbye. The Switch will no doubt come on top come next week.

Hooray for being old! ^_^ The N64 was my childhood, I was only 1 when it came to Europe and it was the first time I got to experience a video game... and I've been a Nintendo fan ever since. Mario 64's hub world was my favourite place to explore!

I think this newspaper exists purely to get reactions out of people. I'm getting flashbacks to back when the Wii first came out and was laughed at for being too suggestive. (Mario Party 8 minigame for example)

I think if the two analog sticks were next to each other, this would look a lot cuter. I can imagine the face buttons being like freckles and the - symbol looks like an eyebrow. Unfortunately the + just looks like a +. So... I might take a miss on this.

I will say I'm more familiar with the Neo Geo Pocket Color (I own one actually) but this is really cool. I'll be able to try the games I've been meaning to for so long. ^_^

I'm sure this is an issue to be quickly fixed for the launch version. I suppose being lucky enough to play on the Switch early will have the odd drawback. ^_^

Wow I forget how tiny the Gameboy Micro is, and the Joy Cons are the same size as it? I wonder how I'd fit a Switch into my backpack as I'll probably take it everywhere.

I do hope to be able to try a Nintendo Switch before I can get my hands on one for my own to keep... I always love to get a feel for the new console. :3 don't judge me. When I got to hold a 3DS for the first time I had to get one!

Maybe because I'm a big softy and what not but I hate to see Nintendo systems pulled apart... especially the brand new Switch. Though I think it's interesting to take an inside look at what it's got and capible of. I hope it still works!

Aww this is just so sweet... to be honest I do many of these things for my pet cat anyways but this has encouraged me to keep at it more. ^_^ I love Yoshi and Poochy. So utterly adorable.
