Wow I didn't realize it was coming this soon, I've been having so much fun playing this game on my New 3DS XL.
I'm playing Link's Awakening right now. Seeing Marin in full 3D is just a blast.
And here I thought they could never persuade me to get more DLC on the 3DS version... Link's Awakening was my first Zelda ever, from before I had a clue what I was doing when I wasn't playing Tetris or Tail Spin.
The Wind Fish looks awesome, and while I remember the song by heart and Marin sang quite... Sharp, I don't see it being THIS harmful... Despite her voice sounding kind of wrong.
I've barely touched Hyrule Warriors, and don't own it. but, i love love love link's awakening. Is Adventure mode just the 8 bit graphics and map? Or do you then enter it and battle it in full 3D? The video made it ...less obvious.
@russellohh Every single space is a full 3D battle. Every. Single. One.

This image remind anyone of someone?
Hint: "Falcon Kick!"
I'm kind of hoping this re-releases for NX with cross save feature. I've barely touched the Wii U version since getting the superior 3DS version.
@Mega_Yarn_Poochy son of farts! now i dont know which to get. i might just get two of the 3DS one hmm
I had reservations about this game, because of reviews, so I passed for a long time. Then I got it as a gift, and man, I love this game. On new 3ds it runs great, has so much content, and the improvements to this version have been superb. Anyone on the fence should get this!!
MARIN <3
edit: Why can't she turn into a seagull?
I'm speechless.
Not really interested since all the new maps come for 3DS only and Wii u only get weapons and new characters with nothing else new.
@mozzy1 Agreed, I couldn't get into Dynasty Warriors, but having a Zelda version is so much more fun at least to me. I enjoyed the game on WIi U, and am glad it's on 3DS, the graphics is the only setback, really hope this comes to NX with hopefully cross save.
Dang Linkle!
@Sonicfan11589 Never tried Dynasty Warriors, but I love this game. Maybe I need to!
Oh sweet! I love Link's Awakening, so this makes me very happy!
My favorite Zelda game of all time. Hearing sing the song with vocals makes me want a remake that much more.
@Dakt The characters are coming to the Wii U version, just not the campaign/mission stuff.
I think it's funny how we blast developers like Ubisoft and WB for shipping ports of games to the Wii U without all of the DLC and now Koei Tecmo is doing it with this game that's licensing a Nintendo franchise! WHY would you bring Marin to the Wii U version and NOT have the Koholint map available as well?!? This game takes too many hours for me to just say "yeah, I think I'll buy a 3DS with this game and start over." Please bring all content to the Wii U!
Smurf yeah grabbing this DLC.
@Angelic_Lapras_King Which is BS. I would love to play all the campaign/mission stuff on the Wii U. Nothing on earth could get me to pay for this game twice... it's just too much content to repeat. It would be more feasible if there was a cross-buy/cross-save feature like what Hearthstone does.
Man...Marin's singing is horrible and clumsy. I rather they put the chiptune song instead!
Kind of odd that they're calling Linkle's new weapons, "Boots", when what she's wearing is clearly supposed to be the Pegasus Boots.
I guess it's because they could only come up with 1 kicking attack that actually utilizes speed or the Pegasus Boots' charging animation, so it got downgraded to "Boots"?
@Dakt @DoctorWily Indeed, but they gotta shift all those unsold Compass Clock limited editions somehow.... XD
I wish this game wouldn't be so hard. I was very disappointed that I couldn't S rank all the adventure map missions. Specifically twilight and Majoras mask. I like difficult but this was too much.
Loved the flower bell, water themed attacks and summoning the Wind Fish. I haven't got this game YET, but I know I'm a sucker for all of it's DLC.
Ive been looking forward to using Marin, and excited since this was one of my first game boy games, but I think I prefered the beeping sound of her singing over this voice.
Ill get the NX port. If they mad it on 3ds you know one is in the works for nx
I've not played Hyrule Warriors but the inclusion of Marin is tempting me to give it a try ^_^ so beautiful.
@PtM well, a nicer version would be too long.
My Wii U copy sits in the closet crying at night...
Cool video, thanks for posting!

When does the season pass for all the legends packs become available for purchase on the wii u eshop?
This is my replacement time sink for Animal Crossing, now that I'm done with that. Really loving it and glad I gave it a go. Fits pretty well on the 3DS too, despite it being more akin to a home console experience.
Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons DLC would be great. Imagine Rosa as playable character. Or Onox!
Ugh.. I don't think I'll buy any more dlc except if they were to add more stages. It's already a redundant game, but seeing and hearing the same stage and song is just too much.
Marin looks rather dull in creativity juwt like Medli. I know Medli was for free, but.. meh. Also, it didn't take a lot of time to realize she was based on the 3ds capability, looks so underwhelming on wiiu with a weirdly too close camera to the character.
Hang on, Marin's weapon is a BELL?!?
Consider this one sold.
I have been heavily contemplating the purchase of hyrule warriors for wii u. Problem is I really dislike dynasty warriors games. Too repetitive and I get bored with them very easily. Is this game any different?
With remakes of certain games why not start remaking the Game Boy Zelda titles? Give them a modern coat of paint.
All the 3DS content needs to come to Wii U. Its only fair, we deserve some reward. If it hadn't done so well on Wii U, the 3DS version wouldn't exist. These new Wii U expansion packs are of far more value to 3DS owners. I played hundreds of hours of the Wii U version and I like many others I'm sure are not going to start from scratch.
I feel like this is going to the nx with everything added at some point. I'm still working through the season pass content so I'm not too bothered about just getting more characters.
I am so glad I have the season pass. Can't wait to play as Marin!
Marin sings while crushing her enemies! This gal is a total bad ass!!
Overall they are doing a pretty amazing job bringing lots of style to Zelda characters in this game!
Kudos for a well delivered partnership!
@Tendogamerxxx I had no issues getting an S-rank across all 5 maps in the base game. I took no more than 3 attempts. For most of the missions in Adventure Mode there are 4 things you need to do:
#1: Take less than 4000 points of damage. Check the pause screen periodically to see how you're doing.
#2: Clear each mission in 15 minutes or less.
#3: K.O. 1,200 enemies
#4: Git gud. Look up guides on each character's moveset to learn how best to utilize all their attacks. Spend rupees primarily in the Training Dojo to keep your warriors evenly levelled.
I have Hyrule warriors on the 3ds but haven't got around to playing it yet, but anything links awakening related has my attention easily my favourite portable zelda (and my first zelda too). I better get playing Hyrule warriors
@MrTanuki the easiest way to think of it is DW with a layer of Zelda on top. Its not some cheap DW in Zelda cosplay, its made with an Zelda fan's eye and respect for the series. There's light puzzle solving, Z targeting and dripping in fan service. but yes its still share the basic moment to moment gameplay of DW.
basically its how much you dislike DW vs how much you like Zelda
If I had an N3DS, I would get this game just for Marin. <3
Just got it for the 3ds today via Amazon UK, it's super cheap atm, so I have no problem paying for the season pass when I get the game.
Go pick it up if you haven't already at this price https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00ZGEXJP8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466725106&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=hyrule+warriors+3ds&dpPl=1&dpID=61IBFMkQ4WL&ref=plSrch
@DarkKirby The Pegasus Boots are probably the third or second ranking weapon name.
Finally Link's Awakening is getting some recognition.
Marin looks amazing in 3D! I hope they bring her back somehow in Breath of the Wild. Even with this cool DLC, Hyrule Warriors/Legends still looks repetitive to me so I'm not really interested in the game.
her voice is not quite what I would expect... but im still excited
Having a blast with Legends but the master quest adventure map is killing me trying to get "A" ranks.
@readyletsgo that's a steal, I got it day 1 in the states and don't regret a second of it.
@russellohh Don't get too excited, it's not the links awakening map itself in 3D, it's portions of the same maps that are in the main game just with little challenges in each space.
HW is still fun, but to be clear there are no new 3D areas that they created for this DLC.
When I first saw her singing I thought she was Malon.
Well, time to replay Link's Awakening..
Also, Linkle turned into the Flash? nice boots though, hopefully more fun than the Crossbows so far.
Ive been considering getting this on my 2ds is it worth it performance wise? Cause everyone says its laggy on the 3ds or should i wait and get it when i get a new 3ds?
Meh. Too bad Marin sounds like another generic dumb Japanese teen waifu. :/ Her singing and giggling is cringe-inducing.
She had so much potential, too - I could've thought of a whole bunch of better moves and abilities than what she appears to have now... T_T
Well at least she summons the Wind Fish, that's cool I guess.
Might sell the Wii U version so I can get it on the 3DS... What a annoying marketing scam this is.
it's still stupid that the Wii U version doesn't get ALL these as well
why should we have to buy the game AGAIN and on a different system just to get access to all the content?
@Totaldude911 ahh okay. but the portions icons are named koholint or what not? That makes more sense. The areas looked like the same areas to me
As of right now, according to VGChartz HW has sold 1.24m copies,
where as HWL has only sold 0.34m copies. So by just looking at those numbers, wouldn't it make sense to port this DLC over to the Wii U edition?!?
@russellohh You've got it exactly right. the overworld map is koholint but each square represents one challenge. You unlock different squares of the map by completing these challenges (Something like defeat 700 enemies within 10 minutes), all of them taking place in maps already in the game. This trailer takes place in the one Wind Waker map added to Legends.
