Pokémon Sun and Moon has been available to pre-order from various retailers for quite a while, depending on your region, but now UK gamers have the option of the official Nintendo store to consider.
As is the norm with this store it's charging the typical retail prices, but is throwing in extras to tempt us into a purchase. In this case the standard or steelbook version of each respective game comes with a Solgaleo or Lunala figurine, pictured below.
Links and prices can be found below, with all options in stock at the time of writing.
- Pokemon Sun Steelbook edition + Solgaleo figurine - £44.99
- Pokemon Sun + Solgaleo figurine - £39.99
- Pokemon Moon Steelbook edition + Lunala figurine - £44.99
- Pokemon Moon + Lunala Figurine - £39.99
Are any of you in the UK tempted by these options?

I prefer lunala but the figure is really bad looking in comparison to solgaleos
After Pokemon Go and replaying Fire Red, I can't wait for this new game. Me and my girlfriend have decided to get one each. I'll let her choose first, but I hope she goes Moon, I much prefer the Sun figure. Haha.
Plus how can anyone make a true decision on versions if they don't know exclusives other than the legendary, I'll wait for more info on that before I preorder
Those actually don't look that bad. It's too early to tell which version I want though; I'm leaning towards Sun, but exclusive Pokemon will help influence my decision this time around.
@ThomasBW84: Any word on if these figures are up as preorder bonuses in other regions?
For the first time I can say that I'm truly
excited for the new titles they look awesome can't wait, I would love to see Nintendo add some new Pokémon amiibo and support to Sun and Moon .
@Peterjr1 I would recommend that you pre-order both copies first of all as you do not get charged upon pre-ordering and then it will be secured for you so that you can easily cancel them both or one of them before it is released and you are charged £44.99.
I preordered Pokemon Moon with that nice figure and steel case. As always, my choice of game is purely down to which cover monster I like the look of the most.
I'm more likely to get this on download so I don't have to keep swapping carts. Would get pre-order if the bonuses were good. Those fugures are meh and a steelcase would sit in a drawer. Bet there'll at least be a theme with download.
Make them amiibo so we dont have to import.
@crimsontadpoles I have always had a tradition of getting both on the release date and then I would get the inevitable third version.
Pokémon Eclipse would be a very good name for the third version of these games.
As someone who gets both every year, I was hoping that the double pack in America would make it over here! Oh well. I'll go ahead and pre-order both versions, on the bright side I get two awesome steelbooks!
If this comes to America, I'll be getting Solgaleo, as it looks much better than Lunala, who has the ugly plastic Amiibo-bar things on it.
The Lunaala one is cool, the Solgaleo is weird.
Lunala looks more like a Kirby's true end boss than ever.
I still like Sun over Moon
I think the blue disc and clear supports on the lunala kill it for me...The stony base for solgaleo is nicer. His eyes look kind of derpy, though.
@Tsurii Solgaleo's expression reminds me of this:

and I imagined your reaction after seeing them the same but in reverse lol:

@Tsurii Pepperidge Farm remembers
Probably gonna go with Moon, figure's just a bonus. Personally I find Solgaleo reminiscent to something from a british stop motion cartoon.
These are more toys designed to tempt kids then quality figures. They look like happy meal quality. Fans will eat it up and quite rightly as they arr official merch but id rather pre order elsewhere and save a few quid as im not really into the franchise in a collecting sense.
Lunala is looking like the Nightmare from Kirby's Adventure, in figure form. :3
@SpykeKat I'd say Nightmare's probably the Ur-example of Lunalaa's Pokémon gijinka
