Pokemon hasn't felt the same since the move to 3D

I don't get the comments about monetisation, I've played daily since it came out, the game only once asked me for money, which was the £8/month premium subscription. I used the free trial, then cancelled

I won't be buying the overpriced viewers, what I will be doing is plugging it in to my old 3D TV, to see if it works any better than the Labo VR modes did

As there is a cardboard alternative, I'm not sure how they are going to enforce the requirement for the physical viewer

I'm enjoying Bananza. If this DLC was half the price, I'd be tempted, but they haven't shown me enough to justify £17. Nintendo do know that Silksong just came out at that price, right?

I was planning on getting this on another platform, as I assumed the Switch version wouldn't run as well. But 4k60 sounds good! I think I'll wait for reviews though

@KayFiOS To the best of my knowledge, the Xbox Series X/S don't accept traditional SSDs as expandable storage. They have propitiatory Storage Expansion Cards that you can buy though that only work with Xbox

First thing I tried last week was plugging my PS2 EyeToy in, it got recognized as a USB microphone, but not a camera 😆

I tried out the features, the only one I'm still using is the map of the Korok seeds.
When I'm using the app all I can think is, "Wouldn't it be great if BOTW launched on a console with 2 screens" (/s in case that's needed 😅)

@Jeronan Pokemon Bank (and Transporter) can still be used if you had previously downloaded it, you don't need to pay the subscription for it anymore either

But if you haven't already downloaded it, you're out of luck

I definitely did this on purpose in a previous game. After years of hitting myself with green shells, I managed to hit myself with a red shell (I think I threw it as I was passing someone, and it went back into me ), so I decided I needed to complete the hat trick and get the blue one as well

In the Switch generation, I bought ~150 physical games, usually close to launch. If I want a game, I might as well buy digital, as for my purposes it's the same but I don't have to swap carts. (I don't sell my games, and it's now easy enough for me to share digital titles)

With physical for certain games, there was the possibility that the game would go out of print, and 2nd hand copies would sky rocket.
With digital, there is less risk of it not being available (until the eShop closes), so I might as well wait for a deep discount and play my backlog instead 😅

Is it possible that it's just a second screenshot button, so that everyone has one when playing games that use 1 joycon per person?

My main question is, does the screen turn off at night?

I remember playing this on DOS in the 90s and enjoyed it, I've tried some of the remakes but never liked the newer art styles

@SillyG In 2020 SRG sent an email out saying that due to the success of the game, they were allowing Human Fall Flat to release further copies more widely, perhaps Mutant Mudds was able to come to a similar arrangement? (or maybe they have ended exclusivity in general).

A lot of the email is focused on Hunan Fall Flat specifically, but near the end they state "this is not expected to happen again. We remain focused on what we do, and being truly limited-print is one of our USP's"

@nukatha The original game got a Switch release through Super Rare Games. The contract for SRG prevents other physical releases through other companies, not sure if a double pack would be an exception to this rule or not

As much as some people hate it, I like that Limited Run does not restrict developers in the same way

I'll note that "not usable in any switch game" skips over that Spinda can't be transferred in/out of BD/SP, and as far as I'm aware can't be transferred into any others. But hopefully that's just 1 additional exception that will be stuck in Home

I'm reluctant to leave Pokémon Bank until all my Pokémon are transferable into Switch games, there's still a hand few that would be stuck on Pokémon Home, forcing me to pay a subscription

Although if there were less than 30, I guess I would be OK on the free tier. I'll need to update my spreadsheet after the final Sc/Vi DLC comes our

Have we reached a point where all Pokémon can be transferred out of home? Last time I checked (pre Sc/Vi) there were still 60-70 Pokémon that couldn't be transferred to a Switch game

Used to watch Ubisoft's presentation BECAUSE it was part of E3 and I was watching all of them. As a stand alone event, Ubisoft isn't a big enough draw for me. I'll probably just read a summary online instead. It's a shame, but it saves me some time

Everything I've read says you do not need a ticket to the World Championships to visit the store. It sounds as though anyone can visit it as long as they are able to get a reservation.

Pokemon Smile got me back in the habit of brushing my teeth when it first launched. I stopped playing it after catching all 151 Pokemon, but continued brushing my teeth.

Not sure that I'll download it for the Johto Mon, but I'm happy that it has been updated for those still playing it

Playing through the new tracks, I thought they were good but not great. Somehow the majority of them managed to feel really short, and as mentioned, the graphic style not matching the base game is disappointing.

Still fun to play, as the gameplay is the same as it has been for the past 8 years (Yes, I own a Wii U ).

I subscribe to Bank but not to Home due to the insane price hike. Is there a chart somewhere of which Pokemon can be transferred into which Switch games? I don't want to move all my Pokemon from Bank to Home, if I have nowhere to put them and be stuck paying the Home subscription.

@inenai The Switch exists, it was a limited edition one for the Lets Go Eevee and Pikachu games

Looks good but it's a shame the wireless addon doesn't allow you to use with Gamecube. I'll stick with my Wavebird for now. Maybe there could be another addon in future

I have the WiiU digital release of Prime Trilogy. I'd been wanting to play through it again, but prioritised other games as I'd been hoping a Switch release would come. If they are releasing them all separately at full price, I'll stick to the WiiU version

Limited Run Games limits the amount of copies it makes, but doesn't stop the developer from also releasing with another publisher (See: Streets of Rage 4, which angered people as a standard physical release was announced for Europe shortly after Limited Run orders closed)

Some other limited publishers DO prevent developers from future releases, such as Super Rare Games (although they did make an exception for Human Fall Flat after it became successful)
