Pokémon Legends: Arceus contains a secret room that is packed with modern-day items, it has been discovered.
The discovery was made by @DeepGameRes and is shown off in the video above by YouTuber Faz Faz (thanks, VGC).
As you can see, the room is full of objects which wouldn't normally exist in the ancient region of Hisui – including a laptop, TV and Pokémon-edition Nintendo Switch console.
There's no way to interact with anything in the room (in fact, it's possible to clip right through objects), nor are there any entry or exit points. It would seem this isn't a location that players were ever intended to find, but it has led some to speculate that it was cut from the final game.
There's no way of stumbling into this room in the final game, either – this discovery was made via emulation on a PC, as well as third-party tools.
If you're yet to try the game yourself, you can pick up a copy right here.

Looks like the room from Diamond and Pearl
There's a chance this environment was intended for an opening cutscene, or maybe an ending cutscene.
It's neat to see anyway.
@RupeeClock Yup, that's exactly the first thing that crossed my mind, looks like it is our main character's room, so it was likely intended for the intro but the idea was scrapped. It looks very much in line with the room of the mc in any other Pokemon game.
Plot twist, Legends Arceus world was Hollywood props.
That room was a private room for the actor / actress.
Perhaps I'm being pedantic here, but I'm not convinced a room that cannot be accessed, seen or interacted with in any way shape or form within the public facing released version of the game is a "secret".
That seems like an opening intro tutorial. You get your room to explore and investigate but when you eventually turn on the tv you get sucked into Hisui.
Probably an unsued cutscene background for the start of the story, then they realized WAIT, we haven't announched that sweet Pikachu edition Switch! Cut that out! And then on Pokemon day they will announce it.(?)
Yes I realize it was easier to remove the Switch, it's a joke.
@Anti-Matter
It looks like unused content, man that would have been cool to have in the main game NGL.
I'd assume this was meant to be Rei/Akari's room in an unused present day segment at the start of the game
Makes me want to see Shesez do an episode of Boundary Break on the game to see if there are any other interesting out-of-camera secrets in the game.
The cube maps used for the reflections on the TV screen and windows seem to be based on Jubilife Village?
@nocdaes anything that's not supposed to be seen or interacted by the public is a secret, just like that room.
@RudyC3 perhaps Arceus was supposed to send the MC and the entire house back in time
could be part of the rumoured future DLC
When I make a computer game I'm going to leave lots of rude messages and really misleading stuff in the code for the hackers.
Nice if this can be explored as the player came from a modern world to the Pokémon world.
@nocdaes you're describing what a "secret" is...
I love that music, I often leave my Switch sitting on my bedside cabinet with that playing and I more often than not end up falling asleep to it.
@broskiplays honestly one of my first thoughts.
Also just reminded me of a (certainly going to be impossible) daydream I had musing about how wild it would be if Pokemon Platinum was made as a DLC not for Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl but one built for Legend Arceus instead using the current open world of the foundation for devs to build from.
But honestly it'd be so huge of a change it might as well be a new game to not mention all that might be cut.
But if the house falls from the void hadn't that story been told before? With a witch, yellow brick road, and a dog... 🤔
Now THAT'S interesting. Maybe it was planned for the main character to go back to the present day at the end of the game instead of sticking around?
@inenai The Switch exists, it was a limited edition one for the Lets Go Eevee and Pikachu games

I just noticed on the bookshelf beneath the Switch system itself, is a Switch game package for Let's Go Pikachu.
That's a neat touch.
That room will be the hub that we all use for the incoming DLC.... I betcha.
Given the way the game opens, it is probably the original way the game opened before it was made a bit more ominous.
I assume the game originally had a Mario + Rabbids-like start cutscene that used this room.
@Ludovsky : I would LOVE a Platinum remake in the style of Sword/Shield, but having no less than THREE (not counting BD/SP as separate games) Sinnoh games in such a short space of time is completely overkill from a business perspective, especially as a proper Platinum remake would bring BD/SP sales to a standstill, maybe unless it is released as a Holiday 2022 title, with Gen IX or Gen II remakes/Legends launching in late 2023.
But we can dream. I appreciate the fact that BD/SP tried to at least equal the originals in terms of content (rather than giving us a cut Pokédex as I feared), but the production values leave a lot to be desired, not to mention the fact that BD/SP are STILL unfinished! (I don't think the Darkrai/Shaymin/Arceus events are currently included in the current build's code, and the GTS remains inaccessible)
I have no problem with emulation for retro and old-ish games (like Wii) but I think that emulating games that just came out for a recent system is kind of scummy.
We really got kidnapped by Arceus out of nowhere.
Looks like the main character’s room from the intro. Having finished Brilliant Diamond before playing this game, I think Legends Arceus is actually a sequel to Diamond and Pearl. I even made the main character exactly the same in both games and it felt like it was a continuation of their story.
Is trading with other Pokemon games possible in Legends: Arceus?
If not, this room might be used in a future update as a form of time-travel trading like in Gold/Silver/Crystal.
How do I mark text as spoiler? Those are old games but I'd still do it.
@fishbujin Like this:
This is a spoiler
Edit: Just kidding
[spoiler] This is a spoiler [spoiler]
Add front slash before the s in the second bracket.
@countzero Thanks 👍
I'm pretty confident this is just something cut from a previous version of the opening. Every Pokemon game starts with you in your room, and I imagine they were going to do the same with this.
That's a Pokemon game I would buy.
@shining_nexus Yeah, I thought so too. The main characters look like the DP protagonists a few years later. I named my character Dawn, because Dawn is cooler than Lucas.
