Update [Fri 12th Aug, 2022 12:30 BST]: Online reservations have now opened for the Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store in London!
At the time of writing, you can reserve a slot for all five days that the Pokémon Center in London is officially open, and you can book for up to four people. If you're interested in attending next week, you can book a timeslot right here.
You don't need to make a reservation to visit the Pokémon Center in London next week, however, slots are limited and it's expected to be very busy due to the shop popping up alongside the 2022 Pokémon World Championships. If you can't book a reservation, or need to attend the shop at a different time, you can join the virtual queue at the Center at the ExCel.
FAQs for the Pop-Up store and the reservation system are listed on the official website.
The Pokémon Company has also reconfirmed that you do not need a World Championships ticket in order to visit the Pop-Up Store over on Twitter.
The store will be open on the following dates and times:
- Wednesday, 17th Aug - 12pm to 7pm BST
- Thursday 18th Aug - Saturday 10th Aug 8am to 8pm BST
- Sunday, 21st Aug - 8am to 4pm BST
Original Article [Wed 27th Jul, 2022 15:15 BST]: Three years after it made its first appearance in London, The Pokémon Center is finally returning!
Launching alongside the 2022 Pokémon World Championships at the ExCeL London, the next pop-up Pokémon Center opens on the 17th until the 21st August, and it promises to be the biggest store featured at a World Championships event yet.
What's more, this Pokémon Center will feature exclusive World Championships merch, and you won't even need to attend the show in order to shop there!
To attend, you can either reserve a slot online by registering for the Pop-Up, or you can just turn up on the day and join a virtual queue. New product releases and photo opportunities will feature at this second Pop-Up in London, so Pokémon fans won't want to miss it.
More details about the Pokémon Center Pop-Up, including how to register for a spot (if you want to book a slot), will be released on the official Pokémon UK Twitter.

Note you need to already have a pass to the event, and spectator passes came and went super fast.
Scalper Central.
Only a measly pop-up store?
If they ever open one of these in Australia, I'd probably never leave.
Commenters should note that this is a pop-up store at a ticketed event. You have to either book a slot or join a virtual queue, but at least you can watch the competitions. If you do not already have a competitor pass or a spectator pass you cannot visit the store.
@moodycat London is probably the easiest place to reach in the UK. Thought not today. 😂
@riChchestM When did tickets go on sale?!
@riChchestM The fact you can't just go in and shop is 🐂💩 at its finest.
Why open a shop for THREE DAYS only?
I would've gone down and spent some.
@riChchestM
Everything I've read says you do not need a ticket to the World Championships to visit the store. It sounds as though anyone can visit it as long as they are able to get a reservation.
@Pachrisu Well what you say is what the article above says. That isn't what previous information has been. The company may have changed its mind on this. They are concerned about COVID at the event, and it's all the way at Excel.
Others: It was very tricky to get spectator passes. They went live with little notice and in three waves that suited the Chicago timezone rather than BST. They sold out super fast and the website was janky. But I did manage to get a pair at the 1am wave. Only £10 each and you get two packs of cards included too.
Was there 3 years ago for the sword/shield launch. In the end it was a waste of time. Being in a line to get in for over 8 hours (arrived there around 5 am, got in around 1 pm) and seeing items being sold out in a few minutes after opening was ridiciolus. Spent less then an hour in there (shop + sword/shield deno). On top of purchases there were flight and airbnb booking. Spent around 400 euro for that trip. Was a special experience but in the and it was not worth it.
Sweet I already reserved my spectator ticket so I'm glad to finally check this out.
Can we please just get a proper Pokémon Centre? Get rid of that weird 5 floors of M&Ms merch store opposite the Lego Store in Leicester Square, make it a Pokémon Centre and Nintendo store!
@Ogbert it is still there!? I almost hate it as much as mysterious… candy stores lol.
@Wiss2wiss inexplicably yes, it's still there!
@riChchestM Hi! When booking a spectator pass, were you able to book a pass for someone else as well? Or would that have required a separate Google-account? The website says "A maximum of two spectator badges may be purchased per account (one order per account)." Does that imply badges for two people?
Just asking since I would like to book tickets to the pop-up store as a surprise for someone else, and I'm suspecting it might go through the same system - RK9 labs. Would I then be able to book a ticket for them, or would I need their Google-account for authorization?
Be careful of train strikes
Done and done.
And I mean done.
Very Nice Pokémon Store
