It certainly feels like 6 year old game console. Games like splatoon 3 still feel new and fresh, but the console itself and many of the games on it are starting to lose my interest at this point. There was definitely a point in my life where I was excited about the switch, hoping for directs, and reading every news piece about it I could find. Now is not that time, and maybe thats just me or maybe thats the switch. Idk

I mean Nintendo will always do really well in the holiday season so that’s not a surprise. Crazy how well both Pokémon and Splatoon are doing over there

@victordamazio Nintendo can pay for good enough lawyers that I feel like they could find a loophole. I hate that this is the way it is though.

Yeah it’s their choice to shut it down but if they choose not to then they’re getting hit with a cease and desist. I hate that not only did they shut it down but they’re blatantly lying about it. To all the people saying that people jumped to conclusions, I don’t see why SWT would shut down their own tournament on purpose. The only thing I can see that might of happened is some serious communication error between the decision maker at Nintendo and the people communicating that to SWT, because what they said to SWT very heavily implies they could not run it.

@Nintendo_Thumb Yeah but half the games in switch sports are somewhat similar to tennis, so there’s far less variety. Also Wii sports resort had far more games with far more variety

I was kind of hoping he’d just throw in a line there about competitive melee because it’s such a large part of melees history but I get that the idea of this section is not to just talk about the game but more of the ideas behind it

Pokémon needed more time and I get why they couldn’t just do that, but they need to plan ahead better. Legends arceus should have been pushed back to this holiday and promoted as a big thing so they could have an extra year to finish this game

Clear that they know what the fan favorites are, every pack seems to follow a pretty clear pattern

@wisdomsprince they should do what fall guys does and do a content drop halfway through the season too

I believe that Splatoon 3 was nominated for 2 categories, best family and best multiplayer

I think if prime 4 isn’t coming out soon it might as well be a launch title dual release on the switch 2

Wish it was more, but good for Kirby. My 2nd favorite game this year just behind Splatoon, and this is coming from a non Kirby fan (though this game may of made me one)

Yeah all looks good, seems to fit in with my 2024 prediction of the release of the switch 2 as well.

Disappointed in Kirby’s sales, that game is great and it’s a crime that there’s so many people who haven’t played it. Good to see Splatoon doing well though, the better the game does the bigger the next one will be

I played it quite a bit, but I just have no drive to actually go back to the game. It feels like I pretty much did everything I wanted to do and while there’s still plenty of things to do, there’s nothing bringing me back. It also feel like it was so long ago that I played that game, making me feel almost nostalgic thinking about it

I mean I own this on the Wii U so I don’t see myself playing it much here, but it’s a great game to boot up if I’m tired of superstars

I was into it for a while but it didn’t really feel like I was able to do much since I only really walked in the same 2 areas

I imagine the games play very differently but I also think that there’s more inspiration taken from BoTW than he makes it seem. Not to say it’s some kind of BoTW clone or anything, games take inspiration from each other all the time

From a marketing/business standpoint EA has to be one of the worse run companies ngl

They’re probably working quickly to fix this, I can’t imagine it stays down for very long

It’s worth it if you need the DLC, however I like all those games and would rather own the dlc

@GreenFlash I mean in splatoon it’s not really a big deal as you generally want to use motion controls for everything that doesn’t require breaking your wrists to do and you probably never really need that much vertical camera control, however it would be a nice option

All PG really means at this point is that it has some kind of conflict/plot

Is have to go with superstars as it’s the most polished one I’ve played and it’s probably the best one to bring out at a party and all have fun. Mario party 2 can be a blast with friends and has tons of charm but is a little unbalanced and it is older. Super Mario party is just ok, not great, but it’s playable enough

I can tell that the switch has darker and more muted colors, but in some shots it actually maybe looks better imo

@ModdedInkling yeah the game is great it’s just some lag issues. All brellas but specifically tenta are almost unplayable at a high level due to the fact that you can often get shot through the shield

So from what this says, I’ve taken that basically it’s low, but it’s not uncommon for this kind of stuff. All VAs probably should be payed more for their work but this isn’t something boycott worthy unless you want to boycott like 90% of games

But in all seriousness I really wanna try this game and the switch seems like a great place to get it.

I don’t view this as boycott worthy because while sure, it’s was a jerk thing to do and she deserves more, she didn’t actually do the work. She can get other jobs and it’s not like she was guaranteed the job anyways, maybe they wanted to do a bit of a different take on the character? Then new VA I’m sure did a great job too.

Overwatch is such a fun game which is why it sucks that the company that makes it and everything other than the gameplay sucks..

@GrailUK 7 years so I’m betting on a march 2024 to maybe holiday 2024 release for the successor to the switch, so at the very least about year after

This has less content than something similar like the fall guys free for all update and this pretends it’s a sequel. While the game is still fun, I would’ve preferred to not have it because it seems like there’s more new issues than content.

I think the story should be about how Chris Pratt was playing Mario one day and got sucked into the game because then the voice would at least make more sense

I play on pc, and it was really weird because it then proceeded to make me change my password
