Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force is Coming Sooner Than Expected

I don't understand the hate. I would rather see talented developers experiment with different ideas and hopefully come up with something that's fun and worth building on in the future. Maybe a game like this will miss the mark, but I'm sure they weren't sitting around a table plotting on how they can crush our dreams. They wanted to create something good and I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt until we see the finished product.

@Konda Well I never played any of the Dynasty Warriors games and had a lot of the same concerns, but I bought the Wii U version and loved it. Killing any one enemy is never really a challenge except for the bosses. You're basically trying to prevent enemies from overwhelming the map. The Adventure Mode gives you different objectives and there's definitely a lot of difficulty as it progresses. Any game can be repetitive so it just comes down to whether you enjoy playing it or not.

I almost didn't get this game but decided I'd take advantage of a buy 2 get 1 free offer with this, Yo-Kai and Happy Home Designer. Luckily I ignored the reviews because I love this game. Any negatives I've experienced have mostly been due to the "community," but the majority of teammates have been great. Of course Nintendo could have implemented better ways to prevent those issues though.

@bezerker99 This game shouldn't have been made because Nintendo Life gave it a 6? I just saw a review that gave it an 8. I'm guessing the average will probably be somewhere around a 7. That's hardly a disaster.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Isn't Bringing Devil's Third To North America

So the people that know what the final product is like and are in charge of spending money to promote and release it decide it's not worth bringing to NA, yet a bunch of people with none of that firsthand info are criticizing that decision? Yeah release the crappy game and lose money because we'll whine if you don't.

The only real disappointment to me was Animal Crossing for Wii U. Not just because it isn't a traditional AC game, but it seems like you're going to have to track down the Amiibo/cards just to play what seems like a fairly dull game. Hopefully I'm wrong though. There's a lot of new 3DS games I'm looking forward to and Mario Tennis was a nice surprise. I would say they should have saved the Ryu and Smash stuff for the digital event, but that got spoiled anyway.

Re: Nintendo Reveals the Final Club Nintendo Elite Rewards

I like how a lot of people are calling it a weak list because they have most of the games already. So they offered a bunch of games you considered worthy of paying for, yet it's somehow a weak list? I already have the Platinum rewards except for Ultimate NES Remix and Mario Kart 7. I'm more than happy with either one.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th February (Europe)

@andyg1971 I don't know about making a fortune. They would have to sell twice as many games the first week just to make the same amount of money. The discount is obviously better for us but that's not exactly a recipe for making a ton of money.

Re: A Wild Update on Pokémon Shuffle Appears

@SilentHunter382 That wouldn't be the end of the world. People that choose to play this for free will likely have the option to play any future microtransaction games for free as well. It's not like this is some major release we've been waiting a year for and they sprung the pay-to-play system on us last minute. It's a small, hopefully fun game that we didn't even know about a month ago.

Re: YouTube Stars Aren't Happy With Nintendo's Revenue-Sharing 'Creators Program'

NoEasyBuckets

@BlatantlyHeroic So by your logic they could just post their commentary without the actual gameplay footage and be just as successful, since they're not making money off the games. Be realistic. They're playing a video game that usually cost millions of dollars and may have taken years to develop. Somehow they should just automatically have the right to broadcast the entire game and get paid off it without any consideration for the creators?
