Re: Super Mario 3D World and Kirby: Triple Deluxe Soundtracks Available Again on Club Nintendo in Europe

Nintendzoey

Awesome! I missed out on the Kirby soundtrack when it was last available (I was able to get the Mario 3D Land soundtrack previously though). I knew sooner or later that there would be something I really wanted on the Australian Club site. Thanks Nintendo!
I still have over 5000 stars as well - which is a lot in Australia (meaning that I can still get that something special [if there will be one], fingers crossed)!

Re: Feature: Ten Must-Play Games for the Nintendo 3DS

Nintendzoey

6 out of 10 games that I voted for made it into the top 10, not too bad (Fantasy Life is missing though).
Glad to see Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros., Luigi's Mansion, the Zelda games and Super Mario 3D Land there.
On another note, I am glad to see that Tomodachi Life and New Super Mario Bros. 2 (nothing really new about it) did not make it into the list, I did not really enjoy those games (although many of my friends did).

Re: Nintendo Finally Confirms the Super Mario Series Mario amiibo for Individual Sale in North America

Nintendzoey

Australia has sucked for stocking any of the Amiibos (at least my local stores).
After months of not being able to find a single Amiibo, I saw the whole Mario Party range yesterday. Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, Bowser (and yes even) Toad. Who knows how long they will last in store? I decided to get Yoshi, Toad and Bowser while they were still available. My first Amiibos!

Re: Review: Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley (3DS)

Nintendzoey

I played this on my American 3DS and I have to agree with the score for this one. I really did not enjoy it much at all. Too much work and there is not even a town. I just found it tedious and boring.
I am looking forward to Story of Seasons though!

Re: Editorial: Nintendo's Heading For a Period of Major Change, and We Can't Fight It

Nintendzoey

Maybe this will be a reason for me to finally get a Smartphone or the like. I have had my mobile phone for more than a decade now (it has no internet, apps, camera or anything like that). The only thing that it can actually do is make phone calls. I have always been fine with that, as that is all I ever wanted it for. Maybe Nintendo finally making this step is also a wake up call for myself.

Re: Nintendo Australia Confirms Fourth Wave of amiibo Locked in for Late April

Nintendzoey

@Liam_Doolan I would just be grateful to find any of them in the stores at all. I like the majority of characters who have been released so far. I can't justify paying the extortionate prices I have seen for them though.

My cousin and I both wanted the original (wave 1) Yoshi. I almost bought it but stupidly decided that I would just get it (if he didn't) in the not too distant future. This was before they became so highly sought after. We can only find him for $40 or more now though anywhere we look. There is a slim chance we may be able to get him in the new Super Mario Brothers series about to be released. It would have been nice if we could have gotten the original though.

I don't like hearing that people have bought truckloads of ones that they don't even want (just to make a profit) when there are people who can not even get their one favourite character now. There really needs to be a limit of 1 per customer for each Amiibo, if they are this hard to find. I don't think it is fair at all to let other people constantly miss out on the ones they want, when other people are buying them just to make a profit.

Re: Nintendo Australia Confirms Fourth Wave of amiibo Locked in for Late April

Nintendzoey

I have not seen any places where you can pre-order these things. They sell out in 5 minutes on release day over here (Australia) and they are never restocked. I would buy maybe 1 or 2 from this wave but I have 0% - 2% of actually finding any of them anyway. Many stores (that were and should be carrying these) near where I live, don't even have ANY of them now.
As for people from other countries saying that Peach, Luigi and Yoshi are easy to find - just try finding them over here.
Your only chance to get any of these Amiibos in Australia (from any wave) is to pay the scalpers on eBay (or at least that has been my experience). I think I will pass.
As for the Australian replenishment - what resupply? Obviously the stores near where I live did not get any of these.

Re: Don't Seethe Too Much Over Xbox One Shovel Knight Getting Battletoads, We Might Get A Cool Crossover, Too

Nintendzoey

@SilentS Harder games than Battletoads? I am glad I never came across them then. Battletoads was more than enough of a challenge!
After a long while, I usually give up on games if I find them too extreme in the difficulty department, like many people I know do. So I am impressed that you persevered with the game for so long and were able to conquer it in the end.

Re: Don't Seethe Too Much Over Xbox One Shovel Knight Getting Battletoads, We Might Get A Cool Crossover, Too

Nintendzoey

Should the game be able to have the same level of insane difficulty if the Battletoads are included? I would hope not!
Yes, I am from the NES generation of kids who tried (yes, tried) to finish the game. You had to be a game master (or legend) in order to do so though. I could never get past the 3rd stage (Turbo Tunnel, the stage with the vehicles) - and there were 13 stages in the game!

Re: Super Smash Bros. Soundtrack Release Has Been Delayed Until April In Australia Due To Production Troubles

Nintendzoey

@Achoo I said that this was just one of the things that Nintendo was making me unhappy about. If it was just this CD, I would let it go.
My problem is mostly to do with the way Nintendo treats Australia. Our games are overpriced and sometimes we never even get the games at all (such as Tappingo, which looks like a great game!).
Then some people have been saying that some of the Amiibos are easy to get, including some of the ones I wanted (except for in Australia).
I have also been playing games such as Disney Magical world and Animal Crossing where many Australians have been unable / missed out on content because we don't have any Nintendo Zones here.
I won't list all my reasons (and there are a few more as well), suffice to say I wasn't surprised to hear that other people are getting the soundtracks now - except for us in Australia.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Soundtrack Release Has Been Delayed Until April In Australia Due To Production Troubles

Nintendzoey

I don't even have a Wii U, I only bought the game because I wanted the soundtrack. I ended up giving the game to my sister and her husband as a present.
I am starting to get REALLY angry with Nintendo!
They have done so many things to make me mad in the past year (announced they are closing Club Nintendo, the Amiibo shortage and being unable to find most of them in Australia, having many slow weeks where they released basically nothing to the 3DS, not releasing VC games to the 3DS...).
Now they are delaying the release of this CD. Why am I not surprised? If it wasn't for Majora's Mask recently, I may have given up on Nintendo.
I know it's just a CD and that it's not that big of a deal, but this is yet another disappointment from Nintendo after so many other disappointments in such a short space of time. They begin to add up.

Re: Feature: Five Nintendo 64 Games We'd Love to Play on 3DS

Nintendzoey

I really wish that both Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie could have a chance (I played through Banjo Kazooie many times). They are 2 of my fave games ever from back in the N64 days. It would be one of my dreams come true to finally have them on a portable system.
Super Mario 64 would be awesome as well (I barely play my original DS XL anymore).
Also, I am thankful to Ninty for putting OoT and Majora's Mask on the 3DS. I always wanted to play those games but I was a teenager until the 2000s and could never afford them. I did however rent OoT from my local video store (which was a big mistake on my part, as I could only have it for a few days).

Re: Nintendo Will Replenish amiibo Supplies in Australia & New Zealand Over the Coming Months

Nintendzoey

I can already see some Australian scalpers rubbing their hands with glee at this news. They will buy a truckload of them so they can continue to sell them to the highest bidders on eBay (but hey, at least you don't have to pay the [usually] exuberant international postage fees, right?)
I am not trying to be pessimistic, just realistic. For an Australian like me (and some of my friends), the "Amiibo" word is just not one that I care to hear anymore.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th February (Europe)

Nintendzoey

Not much for the 3DS this week. That's alright, I am about to start on Majora's Mask anyway. I am still playing Disney Magical World as well (love that game)! So if there is no great 3DS game for the next few weeks, that's fine by me.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Soundtrack Added To European Club Nintendo

Nintendzoey

I am also tempted by this in Australia (but not that tempted). Since Nintendo announced that they would be adding more items to Club Nintendo over the coming months, I think I will pass for now. I am also worried that if I spend the couple of thousand stars that I have, something better might appear.
I love the Zelda games - but a CD soundtrack I can live without (at least for the moment). I will hold onto my stars and pray for something AWESOME to hit the site.

Re: Club Nintendo to Close, With Replacement Loyalty Programme Coming Later in the Year

Nintendzoey

Not really surprised, Nintendo has been getting worse in just the past year or two. I play my 3DS more than any other console. However, the number of good games for the 3DS (that actually do get released here) has really been diminishing (I can count the number of good games released for the 3DS on one hand in the past year). Maybe it would have helped if I was a Pokémon fan? I thought the Nintendo Direct would give me hope - but no.
Why would I bother to buy a New Nintendo 3DS then?.
Then we have Club Nintendo, something that was actually starting to be good in Australia (with many great items arriving over here in just the past year). So of course, why doesn't Nintendo just get rid of that as well? Less cool exclusive merchandise to go with the less cool new 3DS games - makes sense...
Even though Nintendo may still be more committed (okay, WAY more) committed to their handheld than a certain other company is to theirs. Perhaps Nintendo have just spoilt me too much in the past.

Re: Review: Mario Party Advance (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)

Nintendzoey

I liked this game better than the 3DS version (I thought the boards sucked in the 3DS version). Unfortunately, Nintendo would rather release this on the Wii U instead of on a handheld for which this game was originally intended. Wonder if Nintendo will ever get a clue and release any of the GBA games to the 3DS. Nintendo has been going downhill (for me) recently for multiple reasons.

Re: Nintendo Download: 8th January

Nintendzoey

Yet another week and nothing good for the 3DS. It doesn't matter, I am getting used to long stretches of nothing for it now... The only good game on the horizon is Majora's Mask. Used to be that there was always something I was interested in on the way - how times do change.

Re: Hardware Classics: Nintendo 64

Nintendzoey

One of the best consoles ever (in my opinion)! So many memories with this thing.
Sad story about probably my favourite game from this console though (after Super Mario 64) - Banjo Kazooie. We will never forget you.

Re: Review: Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (3DS)

Nintendzoey

I got all excited over this game for nothing.

I really enjoyed Persona 4:Golden on the Vita. The reason I liked it so much though was because of the variety in gameplay. This was a game where you were basically free to do whatever you liked (including planning your day, racking up social-links and visiting the various places in the town and city).

Hearing that most of this gameplay I mentioned has vanished and that it instead utilises "first-person dungeon-crawling and map-drawing gameplay of Etrian Odyssey" really does not impress me at all.

Think I might just go and play Persona 4 on my Vita again instead.

Re: Nintendo Download: 11th December (Europe)

Nintendzoey

I have had Rune Factory 4 on my American 3DS for months. I had given up on them releasing it over here in Australia.
Probably will pick up the Phoenix Wright Trilogy. I can never get enough of my favourite Ace Attorney! I played all the original DS games but it's been so long that I probably need a refresher course.
