Amiibo NL

The sheer demand for Nintendo’s amiibo figurines has been unprecedented since they were released in stores late last year. Being able to provide an array of unique gaming experiences across multiple titles including Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Mario Kart 8, and Hyrule Warriors, the 29 currently available amiibo figurines have become increasingly harder and harder to find – to the point of being completely sold out in many locations.

With this in mind, Nintendo Australia has today revealed limited quantities of amiibo figurines will be replenished in stores across both Australia and New Zealand, with some of the figurines even being sourced from other regions. Below is the official statement:

In the coming months, limited quantities of some amiibo figures will be replenished in stores, with some figures sourced from other regions that will feature non-AU/NZ packaging.

The Nintendo Australia Twitter account also revealed stock would only be available at select retailers:

In addition to this news, the Super Mario amiibo collection will be released locally on 21st March, followed by the release of the fourth Smash Bros. amiibo wave in April, which includes Robin, Lucina, Charizard, PAC-MAN, Ness and Wario.

If you live in Australia or New Zealand, or even outside of this region, let us know in the comments how you feel about the arrival of extra amiibo stock.
