The Super Mario series of amiibo toys has, in some cases, been just as hard to find as the Super Smash Bros. run, though gamers in Europe have at least had options with the full range. While the Mario toy has been for sale individually and as part of a Mario Party 10 bundle in PAL territories, in North America this figure has been limited to the game bundles.

While the deal itself isn't bad - the bundle values the Mario amiibo at just $10 - it's not ideal for collectors that don't want the Wii U minigame title. In some positive news Nintendo of America has now, however, confirmed that the individual toy will come to the region on 3rd April.

While it's not the rarest of amiibo figures - certainly far less-so than Gold Mario and a host of Smash Bros. characters - this is nevertheless welcome. Perhaps stock supplies will continue to improve in North America, though we expect some of the upcoming waves to still be rare and hard to find.

Are you a fan of this Super Mario amiibo, and will you be tempted to pick it up on its own?
